January 23, 201313 yr From the classic 1971 album 'Tapestry':I Feel The Earth Move - Carole KingThe first time I heard this song it was actually Martika's 1989 cover version. Unfortunately for Martika it was released just before the San Fransisco earthquake, and some radio stations decided to pull the track from their playlists.
January 25, 201313 yr Well Hoss please don't hate me for posting this BRAND new New Kids on the Block song...I am just so excited about the new music and being able to go see them in July, well, I couldn't help it... As I said...New Kids brand new song. In fact they just introduced the song on the tv/radio today or last night. Can't get much newer than that.

In fact they just introduced the song on the tv/radio today or last night. Can't get much newer than that. I'm waiting for NKOTB to cover John Cage's 4'33" - I think I'd enjoy that .

January 30, 201313 yr We haven't done a theme for a while - how about songs with "Back" in the title? OK Hoss you asked for it...here it is: This has got to be one of my favorite Backstreet Boys songs...the video is kinda creepy though.

February 2, 201313 yr Author I love this song... 8)Looking Back to See - The Browns Here is a link for it on youtube....however it is a blind guess. I am going from the description and the few seconds that have loaded. So I hope it is the song

February 4, 201313 yr Let's see if my own website will censor me... - Elton JohnI'm a *****, I'm a *****Oh the ***** is backStone cold sober as a matter of factI can *****, I can *****`Cause I'm better than youIt's the way that I moveThe things that I doIncidentally, the tall blond guitarist in the video is Davey Johnstone. Don't know if I told this story before, but I'll tell it again. Back in '94 when I was waiting for friends before Elton's concert at the Greek Amphitheater, Davey came out and stood next to me, waiting for someone himself. I turned and I swear all I saw was a waist. I looked up and up and up til I finally saw his face and realized who it was. The dude is TALL! LOL.
February 4, 201313 yr We're getting a good mix of "back" songs. I heard this song on the radio last week for the first time in ages: The song reached #8 in the UK in 1975 and #2 in the Billboard 100 in 1976.

February 5, 201313 yr Somewhere a muse is contemplating....I'm Walking Back to Georgia - Jim CroceJim Croce, a master. Love this song... beautiful. I have played this on a loop before. LOL.I'm walkin' back to GeorgiaShe's the only one who knowsHow it feels when you lose a dreamAnd how it feels when you dream aloneBut she's the girl who said she loved meOn that hot dusty Macon roadAnd if she's still aroundI'm gonna settle downWith that hard lovin' Georgia girl

February 7, 201313 yr I'll have to find a way to return to our "back" theme at a later date, because I still had quite a few to go. In the meantime, I'll console myself with some rock and roll from 1959 :
