Rosco as a Vallet

Recommended Posts

Yeah, I know. LOL. You're the one that brought it to my attention that a certain dark clad character whose intentions are usually less than sincere might take and run with them, ragging on his uniformed counterpart whos intentions are usually pretty sincere. So far he hasn't seemed to, least not in the public domain anyway... though, it would make for an interesting exhcange. Maybe I should get the popcorn ready?

Oh and Roger, thank you for the complament. The idea was indeed original.

Again, I am still surprised a certain couple of cousins hasn't taken this and rolled with it yet. Hmm, maybe they aren't paying attention or are a bit busy. What ever the problem, I know they aren't bored, otherwise we'd be havin' us a show right about now.

I know I don't want the Hazzard Law parking my Character's cars! Although... Rosco as a Valet would give the Garage a lot of extra business.

Want to hear something funny that happened to my brother last saturday well you see he decided to back-up and somebody was about to back-up at the very sametime in the McDonald's parking lot. Well he blew the horn, and the other person stopped what could've been the world's first Rear-End collision in history.

Julie - I don't think it would have been the first rear end collision, I can see it happening. People not paying attention as they back up. In fact, I think on vacation one time, we saw it happen at a Wal-Mart. Can't remember the details, either they had already hit and were stopped or whether it was about to happen and stopped as your's luckily did.

As for Rosco as a Valet - he'd have a fight on his hands if he were to even attempt to park Garrett's car. Then again, Garrett doesn't let anyone but him touch his car. ;) But with the pictures and the thought of Rosco behind the wheel, Kristy probably wouldn't give him the keys to her truck. She's a lot more understanding than Garrett would be, but she still wouldn't want to see her truck parked in a tree!

Of all the photos, I think the one that best represents MaryAnne's valet skills is the fifty-car freeway pileup. When she messes up, she don't mess up small, ya know what I mean?

It'd be like having a big cardboard box of toy matchbox cars, and then dumping them all out on the floor at once. It'd look just like that. You'd stare and marvel at how one car can be three miles away from the epicenter and still be wrecked all by itself. She has that kind of talent.

And I admire that.

Ya know...

I think MaryAnne might be a better driver than ya give her credit for. Would I let MaryAnne park Jumper? um... maybe (JK of course i would, Deputy Coltrane was the exception to the rule I mentioned!)? Would I let Rosco? No freakin' way.

I do agree though, when she does something, she does it big! Though sometimes I wonder if there wasn't a little help from a dark clothed cousin of hers in making the chaotic concoctions of the past. Sides, how do I know you weren't helping with that valet parking? How do we know you didn't cause any of those accidents by cutting the law off in Diablo or messed with the road, making pot holes, panting speedbumps black and removing their markers...

Hmm... Brian, i think that would make a very interesting story for you.

What's a little vee-hicular mayhem between friends? Heh heh.

Actually I'm very careful with my car. Well, mostly. I do have a 67 Impala in real life, to put it that way. And I've done stupid things with it, very stupid things. Nowadays, I'm much more careful.

Back to MaryAnne... she's a good driver. Really. But she can't parallel park to save her life. In fact, she struggles anytime there's a parking space with lines painted on either side and the car has to fit between them. I mean, thank goodness Walmart parking lots are huge because she can kinda sprawl the car out in a diagonal and make it work.

Yeah, if it wasn't for the "P" on the gear shift display, she'd forget to park altogether, and just get outta the car and let it mosey off in neutral to fend for itself. Wherever it ended up stopping on it's own, that'd be parking. *bonk!*

Heh! Good thing MaryAnne isn't watching this thread.

Hmm... with the thing about forgetting to put it in park.... in real life my boss did that a few weeks ago... whew that was a day...

Same day, earlier that day, I told him not to drive through a muddy field in a pickup that doesn't have fourwheel drive and he did it anyway. Told him he'd get stuck, but he didn't listen. Then about an hour later, the poor guy stops the truck so we can gather limbs and he forgets to set the parking break... and leaves it in drive.

Personally, in real life I don't have a car, however, in real life I did finally get my drivers license!

Hmm... crazy stuff? Sounds like my mother or my mother's exboyfriend! Shoot... she had a stationwagon that seen almost as much airtime as the General Lee! I kid you not!

Who says I'm not watching this thread?

You know, I am a girl of many, many wonderful talents. I had no idea that anybody would ever wonder about my parking skills!

Certainly the fifty car pile up would appeal to my style of mass chaos. However, if I have a limited amount of space to work with, I prefer to apply the "Officer Mahoney" theory of parking. Put the car up on two wheels and slide it between two other parked cars. Upon successful parking, shout praise to the heavens: "It fits! The damn thing fits!"

Hilery had a fine example of that with this pic....

But this pic...

Man, now that takes some talent. I haven't graduated to that level just yet. Gimmie time tho'...

Now, what's this about the P meaning "Park" ? My car's a standard, there is no "P" on the gear shift....

:)
