July 26, 200719 yr Author Eventually, the doctor came out the double doors Luke had been keeping his eyes on for the past few hours.
July 26, 200719 yr Author The doctor raised his hands to calm Luke down so he could get a word in. Bo put his hand on Luke's shoulder and squeezed softly, as the doctor started to speak."Well she's up in the ICU for now...she lost a fair amount of blood and there was severe internal damage...luckily we managed to get her here in time before anything really problamatic occured. She's stable, but we're keeping her in the ICU for a while.."
July 26, 200719 yr Author "Not quite Mr Duke...you see...I have reason to believe that Jaime is being abused at home...and as her father...I cannot let you in until you've spoken to the social workers..."]The doctor said solmnly. Bo swallowed, looking to Luke...wondering how he was about to get out of this one..
July 26, 200719 yr Luke took a deep breath. "She is being abused at home...I lied to you." Hewent onto explain the situation. "I just wanted to be with her and I knew that only family would be allowed. Just don't let her go back there...don't tell em where she is...please..."

"Well, I mean...yes I spose legally I did...but I couldn't leave her there...and if it's a crime t' keep a child from bein' beaten and chained to a wall... an t wanna give her a chance at a normal life...then I'm guilty...an I aint sorry," he added hooking his thumbs in his jeans.
