Bo sat next to him and put a hand on his back.

"Still ain't hear nothin' bout Jaime?"

"Nothin..." He knew it wasn't because he wasn't related. He had told them he was her father and given her name as Jamie Duke.

Bo nodded, looking to him.

"So...you ain't quite explained...quite why this Jaime is so important to you..."

"She found me in the woods....took me home...helped me...Bo...she...she can read minds...her mom...kept her chained...in a dark closet...to keep her away from people...." began Luke with a shudder. "She's the one what found you."

Bo frowned a little and nodded.

"I though...it was wierd...I was runnin' through the woods an' I heard this voice tellin' me where to go...you sayin' that was her?"

"Must have been..." said Luke in a hallowed voice.

Bo sighed and looked to Luke again.

"Now Luke you ain't thinkin' o'doin' somethin' are ya..."

"Like what?" he asked not looking up.

Bo frowned deeper

"I dunno...name me somethin' Luke Duke might do outta the goodness of his heart without thinkin' about it first...

"I gotta do somethin...I ain't lettin her go back there...I promised her..."

Bo groaned a little

"Luke what've you done..."

"I made up my mind...thats what I done..." in a low voice.

Bo got even more worried

"Luke..."

Luke looked at him, not sure what Bo was about to say but preparing to defend himself.

Bo took Luke by his shoulders

"What have you done or are planning to do..."

"I'm gonna try to get cutody of her."

Bo's jaw near hit the floor in shock, before he blinked a little and exclaimed

"You what?! But...Luke that...that would...make you her...her..."

Luke nodded, not sure what Bo would say.

"Your gonna be her father?!"

Bo exclaimed, looking almost horrified at the thought.

"I'm sure gonna try..." said Luke softly.

Bo swallowed, shaking his head

"Luke you can't..."

"Why not?" asked Luke. "You don't think I could be a father?"

Bo sighed and looked away, shaking his head

"No you could be a great father....but your on probation ...what makes you think Jamie's gonna want to live in Hazzard? How do you know Jaime even wants you to be her father? Have you asked how Jamie feels about this at all?"

Luke shook his head. "No...I didn't."

Bo sighed

"An' they say i'm the impulsive one...I think you need to Luke..."
