He had grown a lot over the years and his maturity and common sense were well above that of his age....but sometimes he could be just as ruled by his heart as Bo could when he had a mind. BoJamesDuke Posted July 30, 2007 Author Report Share Posted July 30, 2007 Jesse nodded, pleased on the one hand that Luke felt so sure and strongly about what he was doing but concerned on the other hand that maybe Luke would be letting himself in for more than he could handle...not only did this girl have a secret that needed to be protected but she would also have a fair amount of emotional scarring from the abuse she had suffered...that on top of the stress of everything that had happened may just prove her to be more of a responsibility than Luke anticipated. It wasn't that he didn't want Luke to do this...in fact he couldn't be prouder that Luke was considering this...he just wanted to make sure Luke understood and knew what he was letting himself in for."I hear what yer sayin' Luke an' I agree with ya there....thing is son...there is more to lookin' after a child than givin' it a place to say an' love to nourish it...there's gonna be very hard patches, especially with her, that you're gonna have to go through that will undoubtledly but strain on your relationship with her sometimes...and you'll have to quit yer skirt chasin' every night with Bo...she's gonna need ya....there's gonna be a lot yer gonna have to give up Luke..."
