random thought... does anybody know if any of the episodes aired on any ot the cast members birthdays? or possibly they "worked" on their birthday.

That is a good question. I'd never thought about it. Only a big time Dukes fan would wonder something like that!

I'll start you off:

'Double Sting' originally aired on 11 May, 1979, which was Denver Pyle's 59th birthday.

That means he was the same age as my grandmother was! ( b. 1920 d. 1982)

The only other one I've found is 'The Haunting of J.D. Hogg' from season 7. It originally aired on 4 January, 1985, which was Sorrell Booke's 55th birthday.

With the exception of the first season which was a mid-season replacement, Dukes generally aired between mid-September and mid-March. Weirdly, most of the lead actors had birthdays in spring and summer.

I only looked up the main actors, so it's possible that some of the guest stars' episodes aired on their birthdays.

I've often thought that when keeping track of their birthdays here on the HN.
