General Questions about The Dukes of Hazzard Series

Recommended Posts

Y'all... When they played Jaws music that 2 note theme when Boss Hogg was on a diet in Season 7 Sittin' Dukes, and made a fishing pole with paper clips with a bent one on the end like a hook trying to catch and eat his pet fish from the glass Gold Fish bowl it was in, and Rosco stops him "That's plain, plumb unadulterated murder!"

Boss:"I don't care! I want him! I'm gonna get him!" Did The Dukes of Hazzard makers have Jaws makers permission to play that "Dun dun"?

"Dukes of Hazzard Fans!

Mistake/Blooper or Continuity Error?

Spotted in Season 5's "The Treasure of Soggy Marsh": Sheriff Little successfully jumps the ramp while chasing Coy Vance and Daisy.

But in Season 6's "The Boars Nest Bears": Sheriff Little crashes into the ramp while chasing Bo and Daisy!

My theory: Maybe Sheriff Little upgraded his police car with a heavier engine between episodes?

I wish the Beaudries were in more episodes of the series. 2 wasn't enough. Season 5 Daisy's Shotgun Wedding and Season 6 Boss Behind Bars. They should've been in Season 7 too. Anyone else agree?

I definitely would have loved to see more Beaudrys. Same way with Ernest T Bass. Should have seen more of him in Mayberry.

The ambulance in 'Coltrane vs Duke' was a late-70s (probably 1978) Chevrolet Chevy Van. The one in 'Brotherly Love' was very similar, but the grille and a few minor details were different. I think they may actually have used two different ambulances in 'Brotherly Love' because the one at the hospital has a "63" decal just behind the passenger door, but the one at the end of the chase doesn't. Either way, all I can say for sure is that the ambulances in those two episodes were similar. I'd imagine that the studios (or their vehicle suppliers) had a few of each type of emergency vehicle and added signs to suit whatever show they were in.

Dewey's ambulance was completely different being based on a 1979 Ford F-350.

BTW. Did anyone notice the blooper with the ambulance in 'Coltrane vs Duke'? Just after Rosco falls out of the ambulance it can be seen making a U-turn in the background, but seconds later when the Dukes turn around the ambulance is back parked on the right.

I don't remember anybody here catching that one. Good eye.
