HossC Posted October 31 Posted October 31 Happy Samhain. Halloween started out here in Ireland, and the jack-o-lanterns were originally made from turnips. BTW. If you know anyone Irish, Samhain is pronounced Sow-in. Skipper Duke, Boss JD Hogg and RogerDuke 1 1 1 Quote
bo-go-vroom Posted October 31 Posted October 31 Happy Halloween guys!! unfortunately, I come from a family who don't celebrate things much outside Christmas so I'm not doing anything, but my mom bought me some candy last week (which is already almost gone) and I have a cool halloween outfit on Red Dead Redemption Online! Might brave up and watch some horror movies tonight...not sure RogerDuke, Boss JD Hogg, Hobie Hartkins and 1 other 2 2 Quote

RogerDuke Posted November 3 Posted November 3 Somehow I missed this thread. I made a haunted trail again. It used to be just for grandkids but is expanding. It was fun. I always try to think of something new every year to keep it fresh. Skipper Duke and Boss JD Hogg 1 1 Quote

Yes I know about Samhain and know it’s pronounced Sow-in. I’m a fan of the Halloween movies and it was explained in Halloweeen II and Halloween III. Quote

I didn't know that. I guess Halloween and cricket both involve bats, but one has vampires and the other has umpires! Hobie Hartkins 1 Quote

I knew something about England that Hoss didn't? First time for everything. Actually, I thought it looked like it could be a name (maybe because I have a grandson named Sam) so I just Googled it.
