Favorite filming locations... Hazzard County #1 GA or Hazzard County #2 CA? I love both. But Hazzard County #1 GA is the best one.

Great work Hoss! The ranches are generally harder to work on, but I'm quite good at geography so I probably find it a little easier than other people.
I went into the housing development next to the ranch on google street view earlier, hoping to find a break in the houses that would allow me to see the ranch from a different angle. It didn't work, but I did find something a little more significant. As most of y'all know the ranch was sold to a property developer a few years ago, with the hopes of building a large upscale housing development. Well the ranch is for sale again. I spent hours trying to find any information I could on the ranch, like who was selling it and how much were they hoping to get for it etc. Luckily google updated their Valencia street view, and I found this sign outside the ranch.

I googled the name, and it turns out she's selling a 20 acre section of the ranch for $150,000. The section is just north of Tom Sarmeto's garage area.
Hopefully if my singing career works out I can buy the ranch and bring it back to it's Dukes glory days!! Haha

Here's a couple of shots of the Duke Farm post Dukes.
I'd just like to thank BrianColtrane for providing me with the screencaps
This first shot is of the Duke Barn. It was taken from the corner of the farmhouse

As you can see the doors are shut (as far as I know this only happened once during the series,in the episode Limo 1),and the hay bales present in every episode are gone,as is the white fence that separated the hay bales from the farmyard. This is purely speculation, but I believe the fence and hay bales are missing because the bad guys truck needed to circle the whole house.
This next shot might bring a tear to your eye (it did to mine anyway). Imagine what poor Jesse would say if he found out his house was set on fire by Universal Studios!!

Here's a shot taken moments previously, which shows the farmhouse wearing a light yellow coat of paint

Any eagle eyed fans will notice that the wall seen just inside the door during Dukes is gone, and we can see right through to the other side of the house.
This shot leads me to believe that the farmhouse was also used for some interior shots during Dukes

You've just got to imagine that the big empty space infront of Hasslehoff was once two bedrooms, and at the left side of this shot was where the closet where Boss hid in during "Ding Dong The Boss is Dead"

In this next post I'm going to concentrate on the Hazzard County Impoud Yard/Tom Sarmento's shop. It's labeled as "2" on the map.
This first picture is a behind the scenes picture, taken at the gate of the lot.

Although the barn isn't included in this shot you can see the shadow of it in the right corner.
This next shot is taken from the newspaper article about the 1991 deal. I'm sorry for the poor quality, but it's the best version I could find.

This next picture is one I found on CGLFC. It was posted by a member who goes by the name of Corndog. Perhaps he is on HNet as well?

The Lee on the right is the "Soundstage Lee" and the Lee on the left is the "Billboard Lee". This is one of the last photos of the ranch that I could find before it fell into disrepair.
This picture is one I found on the Smith Brothers Restoration site. On the left is the late Rich Sephton, and on the right is Tom Sarmento.

Behind the hill in the background is the I-5 and to the right is where the Duke Farm (1) once stood.

This is a behind the scenes photo of the 2 car jump in the Hazzardgate Tape. This was taken to the left of the impound yard, infront of the Capitol City Junkyard.

Being early on in season 5,the ranch was still being developed, and as you can see from the aerial photo from 1980 it was a barren lot.

Here's a shot of Ted Barbara jumping the roadrunner in "The New Dukes". Apparently the run up was very short and he needed nitrous oxide. Ted would have used the area in the first picture as his run up.
These are all photos that I've found on the web. If someone could post or email me a few screencaps of the Impound Yard and Duke Farm it would be much appreciated. My email address is conalldoherty06@gmail.com
Finally I'd like to thank Hoss for providing me with an edited version of the labelled map.

Hopefully this new map will be clearer and easier to understand

Bo and Luke were getting in the General Lee and then heading down the road to take it for a test drive. they were working on the engine and putting in a new cam . Jenyfer  was pulling up in Christine  when she seen Bo and Luke take off .. Daisy was hanging out laundry and Jen went over to help her by taking the dry laundry down and went inside to fold and put it away. Jenyfer and Daisy had to be at work at the Boars Nest later that day . Jenyfer and Daisy got ready for work and headed to the Boars nest for a days work. It was not busy so  Jenyfer started to  take items off the shelves and cleaned  the shelves and  placed them back on the shelves. She also moved the tables and swepted the dirt from under the tables and mopped also ,
After the cleaning was done Boss Hogg came in to see how business was . Jen told him it was not that busy but she did some cleaning to keep herself busy . Daisy cleaned the kitchen and the dirty dishes in the sink and put then away Jen seen some people come in and took their order . Then Roscoe came in  She said Roscoe you look like you lost your friend whats wrong. Roscoe told her that Bo and Luke went in the pond with the General Lee and they did not come up . She had a blank look on her face . Uncle Jesse was there also  so was  Cooter. Boss Hogg said Bo and Luke stole his Jeferson Davis Watch.
Jen turned around and glared at him and said  You know that is not true   and he said is was . I do not under stand you Boss you and  Roscoe are always trying to frame Bo and Luke for a crime they never committed , I will say this the next person who runs against dimwit of a sheriff you have  I will vote for the other  runner  and I hope he wins and maybe there would be honest lawmen here . Jenyfer simmer down I know you are upset  Uncle Jesse said. After their shift was done Jenyfer and Daisy went back to the Duke farm.
Uncle Jesse was having a wake for Bo and Luke . She seen Uncle Jesse look out the window as if he had seen some thing . He asked her to finish with the  lemon ade and serving the guests.  She said she would . She ran out but she made some more . Then she heard Daisy scream and ran out side  to see what  the scream was all about then she seen Bo and Luke . Bo told her the General was stolen and they must of jumped the general and he landed in the water. Bo and Luke hid on the side of Cooters tow truck while he took off in to town. Jenyfer followed behind in Christine . Cooter had the General Lee in his garage and he said by Boss and Rosco thinking y'all are dead by showing up  alive it would scare them straight. Jenyfer started thinking . Bo asked what are you thinking about darlin? She said remember the movie you and I were watching the other night the George Romero Movie that was released back in 1968 . Cooter said you must be talking about Night of the Living Dead. She said how about if I made you up like zombies both of you go in to Boss Hogg and Roscos  office like that and I will bet that would scare these 2

Bo maybe a bit out of character at the beginning but when I first started writing it I was just starting to watch the show...and he wasn't exactly himself to start with so...

A little research tells me that the '80s Stingray was shown in the UK, but I don't remember it (and I watched a fair number of US TV shows back then). Maybe it was shown at an odd time. Dukes, the A-Team, Knight Rider etc. all made it to primetime, but other '80s shows like The Highwayman and Tour of Duty were shown at around 11pm and possibly midweek (IIRC).

Here's the intro for the '60s Stingray show that I know:

Stingray was a product of Stephen J Cannell of A-Team fame. It would have been better if Ray would have done some hood slides over his Vette. Come to think of it, Charlie's Angels would have been better if Farrah would have done some hood slides over her Mustang.

I don't think I've ever seen that show, Roger (I'm not sure if it made it to the UK). The 1965 Stingray was at #75 in that list of 100 Greatest Movie and TV Cars.

When I think of a TV show called Stingray, it's the 1960s submarine-based puppet series that comes to mind. It was created by Gerry Anderson, who also gave us Thunderbirds and Space 1999.

Now, that is one super hot......automobile. The car would look a lot better if that girl would get out of the way and Emma Tisdale would hop on the hood.

Here's another coincidence....I hadn't seen a Stingray episode in quite awhile and just got an itch to watch one last night. The TV series only lasted 2 years (1985 and 86) but I really liked it. It starred Nick Mancuso and he drove a black 1965 hardtop Stingray.

What are the chances? This afternoon I was in a neighboring town when I passed a C5 Corvette. Two American cars in one day is very unusual outside of a car show over here. So there you have it, Roger: even I'm more likely to see an old Corvette than an XK-E!

I can't remember the last time I saw one on the road, and none of the car shows are taking place this year. I'd say you're more likely to see an E-Type over in the UK, but they're still rare enough.

By coincidence, as I write this I'm watching TV show about restoring a Corvette Stingray (a C3) in the UK. The guy it belongs to is a member of a local Corvette owners club, so there must be a few Corvettes around. Back around 1980 there was an early-70s C3 parked outside some apartments about half a mile from where I lived. It was quite an exotic sight back then, and probably the first I'd seen in real life.

US cars are still rare over here. I used to see a tatty black 60s Mustang coupe and a bright yellow Dodge Rumble Bee locally, but I've not seen either for a while. I do occasionally see one of the newer Mustangs as they're finally being sold here with the steering wheel on the correct side.

Speaking of rare cars, I saw a McLaren going through town yesterday, although I wasn't close enough to see which model it was.

I also like it any time mid 70s Mustangs pop up since a 1975 was my first car. You see them a few times on Dukes but they never spent much time showing one..no bad guys ever drove one or anything.....quite a few older Mustangs though. I like those too. They probably avoided them because they weren't that fast....Farrah Fawcett had a hot one on Charlie's Angels though.

Do you see many of those over there? I would assume they are like older Corvette's would be over here. You see them on the road but not that often. Do you ever see many Corvette's over there, even newer ones?

Outside of the regular vehicles, one of my favorites is Jason Dollard's AC AutoKraft Cobra from 'The Dukes in Hollywood'. It actually belonged to Dukes producer Ralph Riskin.

Being an English classic, I also like Gaylord Duke's Jaguar XK-E (or E-Type as it was over here).

I just watched "Dukes Strike it Rich" and the Dukes were talking about building a lake on their property and buying a yacht for it. I bet that would be your favorite vehicle if they would let you be the Skipper!
