CONGRATULATIONS HossC for being elected the 2020 fan of the year!
He was extremely nice and shared some art work for a Dukes project with me a few years ago.  I haven't gotten to it yet but eventually will.  As Roger said above he is a true Sonny Shroyer kind of person.

Last I knew I was still in charge of this section so until MM fires me or throws me in the HazzardNet jail I'm going to violate the rules and give credit to a moderator, even though moderators aren't eligible. Hoss has been around this place for well over a decade and has logged in over 5,500 posts. It doesn't matter that none of them made any sense, that's a lot of posts. But it's not the time or posts that make Hoss special. It's the fact that he has the heart of a Duke. The majority of Hoss's posts show you the kind of person he is. Not only does he help people, he goes out of his way to help people. Not only does he go out of his way helping people, he goes out of his way looking for people who he can go out of his way to help. He may not be from the South but he is truly a Sonny Shroyer kind of person who treats everybody with love, respect and dignity and for that we give him our love and respect. We appreciate all you do Hoss. You are truly a cornerstone of the foundation of the greatest website on the internet.....and I'm just kidding about none of your posts making sense. I think I saw one in 2011 and another one in 2015. Oh yea, another thing about Hoss. He has a great sense of humor....um, I mean, humour. CONGRATULATIONS HOSS on being selected the 2020 Fan of the Year!

It's been a while since I've been around here.  I want to wish you all to have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Here's another update!
I painted the interior and used embossing powder for the carpeting. The interior is painted Tamiya XF-59 Desert Yellow. The dashboard and speaker tray are painted Testors Acryl Leather with a few drops of white added. The center console is painted to look like wood although it doesn't show too well in the pictures. I painted Testors Acryl Leather over Testors Flat White with some Radone Tan added. I used BMF(Bare Metal Foil) on the door handles and trim.
The chassis is done. Since it's a snap kit with molded in exhaust and drivetrain, I just painted it Testors Acryl Aircraft Interior Black. The Exhaust and drive shaft are brush painted with Citadel Leadbelcher. The engine oil pan is brush painted Testors International Orange and the transmission is Tamiya XF-16 Flat Aluminum. The gas tank was airbrushed with Tamiya XF-56 Metallic Grey.
The body was clear coated with Gunze Mr. Super Clear and polished.
I have to apply BMF to the moldings and install the windows.

On the show when they gave a description of a car they would describe it as a blue sedan or a red truck or something generic instead of using the cars actual names.

The cartoon is fun to watch.  The first 13 episodes have Coy and Vance and the next 7 episodes have Bo and Luke.  This was at the time John Schneider and Tom Wopat returned to the regular show and they were simply replaced in the cartoon with no explanation.

I recently tried watching the 2005 movie.  I did say I tried. LOL  It was horrible.  I watched about 30 minutes and turned it off.  I was curious so I'm glad I tried it but I couldn't watch the whole movie.  I'll stick with the TV series and the cartoon.

Boss and Rosco have always been friends.  I won't water down any drinks this time. 

My wife and I watched Smokey and the Bandit on Saturday and watched The Cannonball Run yesterday.  These are 2 of my favorite movies.  Burt Reynolds made the best movies.  He'll be missed.

I don't remember seeing this in an episode.  It could have been a scene that was cut from an episode.

Burt Reynolds passed away today. He and Jimmie were close. I still remember at Jimmie's 75th birthday, he was surprised by a video birthday message from Burt (and Paul Newman too). It was so thoughtful and great. He'll be missed.

Wife & I watched Smokey and the Bandit last night. 1st time she didn't gripe about me popping that movie in the dvd player, I was surprised it wasn't worn out as it's one of my favorite movies so it gets played a lot . I'll probably dig out Hooper and Stroker Ace

I only watched 'Cannonball Run II' about a week before Burt died, so he was obviously on my mind when I attended our version of the Cannonball Run today. Other than a DVD of the first movie, I don't have anything linked to the Cannonball series, so I wore my 'Smokey and the Bandit' T-shirt as a little tribute. RIP Burt - "I'll catch you on the flip side".

If a shop has had it for 2 weeks and can't figure out what's wrong it's time to find a new mechanic. Finding a decent honest mechanic these days isn't easy. The world could sure use a few more Cooter's in it instead of some of the scum that call themselves mechanics.
