My girlfriend knew we would never go out on a date on a Friday night! I still can't figure out why she left me. The last thing I heard her yell was something about priorities.

Rough day today. The guy who crossed the center line and killed my daughter was formally charged with homicide by motor vehicle, involuntary manslaughter and 6 other traffic offenses. Sure stirs up bad memories of being at the accident scene and seeing the cars and hearing the bad news from the trooper.

I agree. See there Hobie.....what Garrett is saying is that you need to give me the trophy for the Moonshine 400 back in 1982. That's the year you put those Mean Green Machine spikes on your rims and ran me off the road and into the swamp. Not a real win for you since you cheated. I'm on my way over there now to pick up my trophy and I'm bringing Garrett with me.

Yeah it's well known Rusty Wallace did not like Jeff Gordon. He even tried getting Dale Earnhardt Sr to team up with him to wreck Jeff as many times as possible but Dale Sr obviously didn't agree with Rusty. Heck Dale even took Jeff under his wing a bit giving him advice over the years. Their "rivalry" helped make NASCAR huge in the mid to late 90's. If you haven't listened to them yet I recommend the Dale jr download podcasts with Jeff Gordon.
What Austin Dillon did Sunday night was just poor sportsmanship. Then to lie about it on Dale Jr's weekly winner interview portion of his Tuesday podcast was just stupid, especially with the smt data proving he turned the car away more left to take out Denny Hamlin. "Um I didn't know he was there", BS you didn't you'd have to be blind not to see that car and if you are that blind than you need to get outta the driver's seat. I think if Bass Pro/Cabela's CEO wasn't there and one of his sponsored cars didn't win NASCAR would have dq'd Austin Dillon. He dumps millions into NASCAR and they probably didn't want to drive that money away.

Was waiting to post Richmond's results to see what NASCAR was going to do. Austin Dillon was on his way to a win in the final laps till Ricky Stenhouse and Ryan Preece ran out of talent and crashed into each other causing a caution. On the GWC restart Joey Logano got the lead and until turn 3 looked like he would win but Austin has other plans full sailing it into turn 3 hitting Joey Logano causing him to spin. Denny Hamlin was 3rd and thought he was going to win since Austin full sailed it and was way up the track but Austin had other plans again turning as far left as he could tappin the right rear of Denny's car sending him hard into the wall. Austin went on to win. Denny and most of the rest of the drivers called foul and forced NASCAR to finally put a line in the sand on what they will allow. NASCAR finally decided to allow Austin to keep the win but take all the points away and make him illegible for the playoffs. It's funny because Dale Earnhardt Jr said this would probably be the best outcome for everyone on his podcast yesterday.
Top ten
1, Austin Dillon, encumbered win
2. Denny Hamlin
3. Tyler Reddick
4. Bubba Wallace
5. Ross Chastain
6. Christopher Bell
7. Kyle Larson
8. Carson However
9. Chase Elliott
10. Daniel Suarez
I personally think they should DQ Austin Dillon and take the win away but I guess this outcome is just as good as it does show everyone there is a line not to cross now.

Today I got to go on a river cruise with a group that I'm part of. It was nearly two hours each way with a stop-over for a hotel meal in the middle. We were hoping for a brighter day, but a bit of mist and rain on the outward journey didn't dampen our spirits, and the return trip was dry with much better visibility.

Thank you. You all are the best. My scholarship person responded to an email yesterday saying that I won't have to pay anything back as long as I stay at the day care for a year. Which makes things even worse. I'd understand if it was I that was quitting the program, but it's the day care that's quitting it. In my mind, I shouldn't be the one forced to stay due to what they are doing. Maybe I am wrong and irrational. I really wish I never signed up for these classes now. I don't know. I emailed the person back with a couple other questions and she has yet to respond. So I guess we will see.
On top of it all, I now got a bad cold. I was supposed to enjoy this week as I only work Monday and Friday. Now I have this to deal with.
Kenny Chesney has a song on his new album that is "This too Shall Pass". I am sure this will pass and maybe it's not as bad as I am making it out to be. I just hate the thought of being stuck at a place that I no longer feel appreciated at and no longer happy at. Though financially, I don't know where else to go or so forth.
Thank you for listening.

Well it's been more than just 24 hours, but work has been stressful. My boss has emailed me on Wednesday (on my day off) saying that the daycare won't be participating in the college scholarship that has been helping me pay for my online classes. She said this on my way home from vacation two months ago, but my scholarship person was able to talk to her into signing up. But now that my contract is coming up in a week or two, she is withdrawing. So after two full years (halfway through) she is taking that away. There are other grants that I may be able, but I am not sure what to do now. We had DHS stop by last Monday and did a look over and she talked to everyone about stuff. My boss didn't like what she said to me or that I talked to the DHS lady . So Idk if that is what is fueling this. . .but that was stressful enough as it is. Then I was expected to do CPR on Wednesday (telling me Tuesday night) so the same day that she texted me all this, I had to spend 5 hours doing CPR training that isn't due until September. At least it is over. But it's the whole way she did it. I am currently thinking of applying at the school for a para position. The only problem is the breaks and summer and so forth and financially to do it - though it pays pretty much the same as where I am at right. But am already struggling financially and had to borrow money from my parents the other day.
On top of it all, my left knee to my ankle has been killing me the past couple of weeks. Keeping me up at night and hurting worse when it's not moved for long periods. I know most of it is my weight. I need to lose weight, but with all this stress all I want is chocolate and french fries. It'd be so much easier if I loved fruits and veggies and all that is good for me...but it's the opposite.
Sorry to rain on y'all's parade. I know so many others have it way worse than I have it and it could be a lot worse. It's just been a stressful week and more. Luckily, I only work Monday and Friday and a couple of hours on Thursday this week due to my scholarship (I got 48 paid hours off a semester to work on schoolwork or rest. I had 18 hours left from the past semester, so my boss wants to use them up this week.) I am sorry for the vent. Thank you for listening.

I wish the government didn't allow monopoly's. So sick of dealing with my ISP who unfortunately is the only one that services our complex because we're on the wrong side of the street. Last month they talked my wife into a service ""upgrade"" that would save us $20+/month from our grandfathered in plan. That ""upgraded"" plan has doubled our bill this month since the associate completely fubar'd our account. Heck we couldn't even log in to see our bill until tech support unlocked it last night. He also looked at the account trying to figure out what the associate did and try to fix it. Unfortunately it looks like he was only able to knock $20 off the bill as our bill is still ridiculously high. I told the wife if they won't lower it to what they said then cancel it.

Pro dirt bikes for me. Followed by NASCAR and then sport bikes like Moto GP. F1 is awesome but there is only so much time in the day. In fact, all road and track racing is awesome. If it has wheels, people in Hazzard wanna race it....or at least wanna watch it race.

Spike got a reaction from Hobie Hartkins in SRX Series
Tony Stewart and Ray Evernham's SRX series kicked off Saturday night at Stafford Motor Speedway. It started off non dramatic as all the driver's where feeling out the cars. Greg Biffle led all the laps and won Heat 1.
Heat two saw a lot more action and the local "superstar" Doug Coby win after passing Michael Waltrip who led most of heat 2.
The Main Feature Race action got even more intense with several passes and bumping and moving. It was also won by the local guy Doug Coby who dominated from lap 65.
Main Feature Race Results
1 Doug Coby
2 Greg Biffle
3 Tony Stewart
4 Helio Castroneves
5 Bobby Labonte
6 Ernie Francis Jr
7 Tony Kansas
8 Willy T Ribbs
9 Paul Tracy
10 Marco Andretti
11 Michael Waltrip
12 Bill Elliot.
There were a few hiccups but they had a few backup cars to keep all the driver's in the race. The pace car was awesome, 1934 Ford coupe. The engine sounds reminded me of Nascar from the 90's.
This Saturday night they'll be at Knoxville Raceway.

And that right there is why F1 is not even in the top 5 of my favorite Motorsports to watch. Lando should have kept that 6 second lead and won the race since he was clearly the better car and driver for the race. If that were to happen in NASCAR that would most likely earn the team a 'not to do it again' warning at least. Most teams in NASCAR let the drivers race the teammates as for whatever spot as long as they don't wreck. Sure on the regular season finale race teammates will give a spot up to another teammate to try to get them in the "Chase for the championship" but they wouldn't give up a win.

This evening I am going to be reliving the nightmare of 7-22-23 when I lost my only child. Thank you all for all your support this last year. The accident was at 7:14 EST. If you are so inclined I would appreciate a prayer around then. If not, a loving thought.

When they interviewed the McLaren team boss afterwards, David Couthard mentioned that when he drove for McLaren and had to give up the lead to a team mate he was still paid the winner's bonus. I hope Lando at least gets that. The whole situation played out very badly through radio messages, especially as Lando was clearly faster and is ahead in the championship. As Lando closes the gap to Max, I hope the decision doesn't come back to haunt the team at the end of the season.

Cole Custer to move back up to cup for 2025 season in Haas Racing #41 Ford. Haas will become a satellite team for Rush/Fenway/Keselowski Racing.
