  1. Robin Mattson. Interesting also to note (at least, for me) is a year before Carnival of Thrills, Robin was in a tv movie called "Hot Rod" with one of my favorite actors, Robert Culp. I have not yet seen or found the movie anywhere but apparently Culp plays a Boss Hogg-ish type character (without the white suit. Or the extra girth. ROFL.) and tries to keep the hero of movie out of an auto race. Sound familiar? LOL. The movie from 1966 was "Namu, the Killer Whale."
  2. It does. Khee! Audrey Landers was one of the 20 or so that I initialy thought of. What I didn't realize was that she was on the show twice! I remembered her as Gail Flatt but totally forgot about Billie Jean in "No More Mr. Nice Guy." ROFL. Anybody else gonna guess at who the cute little blonde girl is? She was still blonde by the time of her Dukes appearance...
  3. Hmmm..... I was stumped on this one but I think I've figured out who it is. (after going through about 20 different guest actresses that were on the Dukes LOL) However, I'm gonna hold on my answer and see if anyone else can get it. Great question, Hoss.
  4. Welcome Simon! I believe you are indeed the first fan from Dubai. I love how a little ol' show set in the American South can have such a huge following world wide. KHEE!
  5. The last chapter of the story has been posted. http://blueinkfiction.com/
  6. Hmmm! I'm stumped on that State Courthouse building. My first thought is it's county courthouse redressed, because those doors look dang familiar. LOL. I would then assume the facade on the side was placed there temporarily to make it look really different. Might have to dig out the DVDs and take a closer look! By the way, Hoss, I'm totally diggin' this thread.
  7. Howdy Ed! Welcome to HNet! I'm with you, I'm glad that a lot of the old favorites from the 70's and 80's are available either online or on DVD.
  8. And it's underway! This is great to see another General Lee come to life. Didja change yer mind about the 15 inch Vectors?
  9. What--wait! No! Gah! I'm not enough times turning 21 to die! GAH! *resists push toward the doors* Mufn! MUFN!! Is she still passed out in that cell?!? MUFFFFFFFFAAANNNN!!!!!
  10. What? No, I need help! You have to help me! You're much more intimidating than I am...
  11. I must not be much of a trouble maker as I missed the birthday wishes from Roger on this thread. Heh heh! (Thank you, Roger!) Howevah! Brian is much the trouble maker! What's this about updating stuff? Wait just a pea pickin' minute heah.... *remembers there's a crowd outside, bordering on a riot* We got some unruly folks out there, cousin, and I was not sent to riot school...
  12. Thanks, Garrett! I had a nice b-day. Chocolate cake makes it all the better. Khee! :)

  13. Wow, this is fantastic Hoss! It would definitely be a shame if WB ever tore down that lot. I would think they wouldn't since it's pretty historic for the studio and was used going back at least to the 1950s. I can distinctly recall an episode of "Maverick" and James Garner in a scene on the street infront of the bank. There's also a scene in the Burt Reynolds movie "Hooper" that I'm pretty sure was filmed on this lot at the gazebo. Isn't building 21 the boarding house, where Enos lived?
  14. Khee! Those are great! I'd say they capture the essense of the General.
  15. I have it on VHS, watched it several years ago. It is a good film. Creepy and freaky from what I remember of it. LOL
  16. Ditto!! Hoss, that is fantastic!!
  17. Irk the powers that be? I didn't think we had any powers that be 'round here... Actually, posting a link to a story you've written isn't necessarily verboten. New users are moderated so your posts don't show up right away (until you've either made 10 posts, or we can tell you're a Dukes fan and we edit your status). If we see you've posted two or three of the same or similar post that are being held for moderation, we release one of those posts and drop the others. I sympathize with your frustration about the lack of reviews. Unfortunately, I've come to realize that whatever reviews you get, is what you get.
  18. Happy Birthday Ethan! Yer gettin' big!
  19. Right! The name of the band was right on the tip of my tongue! LOL Now, the paint supply store. Somewhere in the vast knowledge known as the HNet Forum, is a thread that shows some of the back lot of Warners and there's a picture of said paint supply store, with nothing behind it. LOL. Of course, can I recall with certainty the name on the store front? No. But I'm gonna take a guess and say.... O'Connor.
  20. Since I know you'll be looking at some point, Daney, chapter 7 is posted.
  21. I also agree it was Ezra. Also, sidebar as I was catching up on this thread I saw the question about the Starr Recording studio building and Hoss's link to the Google image of what it looks like now. Curious, I got to looking around the rest of the area (which is ALL totally different now from 30+ years ago. That parking garage across the street is really something! I-75 runs behind the recording studio and the spot where Luke made his famous "trip" over the hood of the General is under some serious road construction). Anyway, as I got to looking the area around I saw this... Ol' Jesse's still drivin' that white Ford pick up truck to Atlanta every now n' then... KHEE!!!
  22. There's an online guestbook for Paul at Legacy.com via the funeral home handling the arrangements. It looks like the funeral service took place this past week. http://www.legacy.com/guestbook/DignityMemorial/guestbook.aspx?n=paul-baxley&pid=149124979 I lit a candle in Paul's honor.
