It is unfortunate his new album Honky Tonk U. got crap reviews from a lot of magazines like Rolling Stone and Country Weekly.. I like the new album . Toby is one of kind and doesn't care what people think anymore. He makes music that the common man likes and I am all for that... Darrell

I think it should be some kind of car chase or backwoods racin' scene or maybe a jump to open it up to make everyone excited about seeing the General Lee in action...... I think a jump to open the movie up would be cool..... But if they are going for more of the family side of Hazzard they should open up witha scene at the Duke farm with Uncle Jesse and the boys..... Later Darrell

Pretty good article... Fortunately Hot Rod magazine is easier to get than the Mopar Collectors Guide. The new issue of MCG does an outstanding job on all the Generals used in the movie. Later Darrell

Why is Cage9 and Nathan Barr's music not 0n the cd soundtra
Capt_Redneck replied to sam29's topic in Dukes of Hazzard Movies
They did that with an animated film that came out a few years ago - Titan A.E. ....I saw the trailer in the theater and it was basically a video to Creed's song Higher. That was what made me want to see the film. The music went perfectly, but it wasn't included in the film or the soundtrack. They did put the trailer with the song on the DVD . It sort of made it up because the visuals and the music together were awesome. Later Darrell -

It is coming out in August according to Barnes & Noble...Not sure if it is an updated version or just a reprint...It is a different publisher - St Martins Press and has more pages. Hopefully some color photos as it says 35 photos. I am sure Amazon did have the new edition listed a while back. Now it is not there. Kinda like what happens around here at HazzardNet from time to time..... Just kidding... Darrell

Got this off the internet today..... http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,161566,00.html MTV to Film 'Dukes of Hazzard' Special Tuesday, July 05, 2005 COVINGTON, Ga. — The home of the first five episodes of "The Dukes of Hazzard (search)" will host MTV when it comes to film a special on the history of the late 1970s show. The show will feature the jumping of "General Lee," the Duke boys' car, at Covington's Oxford College — the same spot the car was jumped for the show 26 years ago. The special is meant to hype "The Dukes of Hazzard" movie, starring Seann William Scott (search), Johnny Knoxville (search) and Jessica Simpson (search), set to be released on Aug. 5. Travis Bell, president of the General Lee Fan Club and organizer of the annual "Dukes of Hazzard" reunion in Covington, will serve as historian for the 30-minute program, called "Your Movie Show."

CMT DoH Institute VP (Slick) is a Disgrace

Brian Isn't it hard to bite your tongue and hold back knowing you are in the right. It takes a good person to do that. You looked at the "big" picture and did the right thing as an admistrator to this site. Just don't change. I love your little sarcastic or should I say caustic(is that too strong of a word) and your use of the English language on subject matters. I will definately sit down and BUY you a few beers at Dukesfest next year.. Latter Darrell -

DVD's - Return To Hazzard - Georgia 1 & 2, California
Capt_Redneck replied to Capt_Redneck's topic in General Discussion
Brian Thank you for the info about the locations. And what you said is so true about being bette off with fantasy than reality, sometimes things are better left as memories. Most of the time it just doesn't seem as good as you remember it. There are 3 different DVD's that he has listed and they are a lot of money EACH. I was hoping to see if they were worth it. Anyway there are a few good websites that have pictures of Covington and Conyers, GA as thery werer during the filming of the first 5 episodes and how they look currently.. Darrell -
