  1. Then one day Lizzy came over and saw that Daisy seemed to be upset about something. "Daisy is something wrong?" Lizzy asks.
  2. "Thank you sweetheart. Some day you'll be big enough to help but you won't want to. I can promise you that." Lizzy says.
  3. Lizzy walks over to where Belle is sitting on the couch and kneels in front of her. "Look Belle I'm not mad at you. I'm really not. I'm disappointed because you disobeyed me. When I tell you not to do something, I tell you not to for a reason. And that, what just happened, is why I've always told you not to climb on the counters. I wasn't angry and it's hard for me to admit this but I was scared. When you screamed like that the only thing I was thinking was "please God don't let my baby be hurt". I know you want to help, I understand baby but you're still too little to do certain things. I know you mean well baby but sometimes you just got to let Mommy and Daddy take care of them. I don't want to ever see you or find out that you've been climbing counters again. It's too dangerous. What if you slipped and fell off the counter and hit your head? I don't want that to happen Belle but it might and that's why I told you not to climb in the first place. You're my oldest girl and I love you too much to let anything happen to you." Lizzy says.
  4. Lizzy is silent for a long moment then speaks as she ties up the trash bag. "I'm not mad although I should be. She disobeyed me and she knows better than to climb on the counters. She's not five any more Bo, she's nearly eight years old and she should know better by now. I was so scared. I heard that yell and the only thing running through my mind was 'please don't let her be hurt'. I was so scared. Take that out back to the can and I'll go see what I can do." Lizzy hands the bag to Bo and then sets the sippy cup in front of Sara.
  5. "I don't know Daddy, that's the stuff she inherited from great-great-grandma Davenport." Belle says.
  6. "I think so. Sara wanted her juice but the cup was too high. I climbed on the counter to reach it but...I made a mess. I'm sorry Daddy." Belle says trying to control her tears.
  7. Lizzy smiles at him and plays with a strand of Bo's hair. "How did I get so lucky?" Lizzy asks. Bo was stopped from responding as a loud crash sounded from the kitchen. "MAMA!" Lizzy heard Belle call. Lizzy pushes Bo away and sets the breakfast aside then rushes to Belle. "Oh god BO! Get in here." "Right behind ya." Bo says as he comes in the kitchen to see the shattered glasses. "I was just trying to help. Sara was thirsty and I tried..." Belle was sobbing too hard to finish. "It's alright sweetheart. Bo get her out of here and make sure she's not hurt." Lizzy demands.
  8. "I know that disappoints you but...I can't, maybe in another month or two but not right now." Lizzy says.
  9. "Mmm, that it is." Lizzy says as Bo's hand wanders down her side. "Bo...stop we can't. It's too soon."
  10. "I may have looked like your but I was way from actually being like the girls you dated back then. And you're right I love your charm and craziness." Lizzy ran her hands through Bo's curly hair. "I think you liked how I stood up to you."
  11. "That's just makes it harder when they get older right?" Lizzy smiles as Bo steals a piece of bacon. "You know I can't stand bacon." "That's why I had Daisy make it. So I can eat it." Bo says. "Your crazy." Lizzy says.
  12. "Thanks for the offer Daisy but I think I'm gonna spend a day with my family. I think I'm gonna be ok. Thanks for breakfast which will be getting cold soon so I think I'm gonna get a little busy with it." Lizzy says hoping she didn't upset her best friend.
  13. "You have a point and I really hope you're right. Thanks Daisy...I just...I don't want to wait. The OB though, she said if we don't wait it'll make it worse and harder. It's so hard Daisy that man can be irresistible." Lizzy smiles.
  14. "Don't think bad of me. I love my girls. I'd die for them in a heartbeat you know that but...this time apart and everything I've been through...I would do anything to save my marriage and my family and maybe having a little boy would do that. I don't want to think it but I'm so scared that that is the only thing that would permanently fix this and make things better. I want to be wrong I really do and I want to believe that this is all fixed but a part of me doesn't believe it. And then there's the part of me that has always wanted a son. I know where Bo is coming from for the most part and I really want to have a boy." Lizzy says.
  15. another one that's new, it's called I'm a Little More Country than That~Easton Corbin as a side note he sounds like George Strait a bit. At first I thought it was George but then I was wrong.
  16. "Hey Bo, she needs a diaper change." Lizzy says. Bo nods and takes Tessa. When she's sure he's gone Lizzy turned back to Daisy. "That's just the thing Daisy. He was on the phone with Dad the other day and he said that he loves his little girls but...he can't help but wonder what it would be like to have that baby boy. I want to give it to him but I'm not sure how soon I'll be able to get pregnant again. I mean...there's the problem I've always had getting pregnant and with me going back to shooting. I just don't want to disappoint him. And there's something else." Lizzy stops and looks down.
  17. "Daisy I know you keep saying that Bo loves me and his little girls and he couldn't be happier but...do you really think that he'll every be truly happy without a son?" Lizzy asks.
  18. "Could you bring me my squalling kid first?" Lizzy asks. When Daisy does Lizzy smiles. "Thanks. Daisy whatever you said to him...it really got through eventually." Lizzy explains what happened and by the time she had finished Tessa was sleeping quietly. "It's good to be home in the arms of the man who I know for certain loves me."
  19. "Oh Bo...gosh this looks so...incredible." Lizzy says. Then she looks down to see a wet shirt. "Unfortunately it's gonna have to wait. I bet Tessa's hungry."
  20. The next morning when Lizzy woke up the bed beside her was empty making her think it had all been a dream. She sat up and looked around spotting the pictures on the wall. Seeing her three little girls smiling back at her Lizzy smiled and noticed it wasn't a dream. She felt the other side of the bed and although it wasn't still warm it looked like it had been slept in. She wondered where Bo had gone until her stomach growled loudly and the door opened.
  21. For the first time in what was two months Lizzy fell asleep in Bo's arms feeling that everything was right with the world.
