Well I don't know what episode it is in, but think it was said in the first season or so. I can't even recall what was happening when he said it...it's been that long since I've seen that ep or the Dukes in general thanks to my busy schedule. But this line had popped in my head for some odd reason a couple of days ago so I thought I'd post it...

hehe that's pretty cool, just hope the P.C. crowd don't get on him about the flag on the roof. 
 
I've only watched the races that have been on Fox. Don't watch TV enough to warrant spending money on Cable, and even if I did I don't think I'd spring the extra cash for the sports channel package just to watch the races. In years past when the races were on ESPN I'd turn the pc on and find an online stream but after last years Brian France Sprint Cup Circus, especially him giving Kyle Busch the trophy on a silver platter, I've lost a lot of interest in Nascar so I'm just going to catch the remaining races on Fox or NBC which just amounts to 8 if I happen to be home when they are on.  

Sadly due to  life's circumstances, I have missed most of the races this year. I have been reading up on them...but did watch Talladega and was disappointed with the accidents. I know Talladega is known as the big one and for the accidents, but it got ridiculous. I felt like a lot of them could have been avoided if the drivers used common sense...such as Kurt Busch wrecking  Jimmie Johnson. Just lucky no one got hurt.
Anyway...I found this on Facebook and thought of y'all. I know James Best helped Ryan Newman with his animal charities as well as lived down the road from James. And now looks like he owns a General Lee. What a lucky girl to be picked up in The General Lee...;)

Hey Garrett, I have a new favorite driver....he's from Georgia. He has the NAPA car (my favorite parts store). He's only 20 so there's a chance he'll be around awhile. He's #24 (you should like that) and he has a cool first name. Go Chase Elliott!!!!

I kicked everybody's behind in fantasy NASCAR Sunday. Okay, not really. I'm in second to last place.

Thanks Roger. Thinking of the Dukes, I always get to feeling bad when I think of all the seasons/episodes that I have on DVD and have yet watched. Well I have seen each and every episode more times than I can remember, but have only seen a handful or so from my DVDs. Due to the lack of time in my schedule and of generally going to the computer when I do have time...in my vague attempt to write. LOL.
You can call me jealous, Roger, to hear that you have seen them that many times! Well, maybe not jealous, I'm happy to hear that you are able to watch an episode a day - I remember trying to do that. Sadly enough it didn't last very long. Oh well...I am always glad to hear of a fan as dedicated to the show as you are! Perhaps one day I will organize my life enough to find time to do all that I need to do and watch the Dukes. Which is your favorite episode, Roger?

First off...I am not here to judge Tom and the choices he has made. We all make bad choices in our lives that we later have to face or regret doing...at least I know I have. The difference is, is that Tom and the rest of celebrities has the whole world watching them and judging their action. It is great to learn all you can about your favorite celebrities out there, but sometimes the media takes it too far. They are people just like everyone else and deserve to have their own privacy and lives for themselves. At the same time, celebrities should keep it in mind when they do things that "everyone" is going to find out if you are caught with anything you shouldn't have or do anything you shouldn't do. That people / kids do look up to them.
Being a Duke fan...I have to admit, like most shows I watch or follow, it is hard to see past the character. I mean, I think of Tom...I think of Luke. Say John Schneider, I think Bo. And so on. . .people find it hard to see past their well played and well known characters to see that it is Tom's bad choice and not Luke's. I agree with what was said earlier on in this thread by someone...the characters on the show are made to look perfect in most ways, they are well written for and well acted for. The actors/actresses on the show are human and make mistakes of their own.
I for one was surprised to read the little that I did read about Tom and what he got caught with. Hopefully it all is just a really bad rumor, if not, I hope he recieves the help, support, and the prayers that he needs and deserves.
Well there is my unasked for opinion about the topic. . .

Mark Martin is racing the 01 car for part of the 2007 season - though that may change - but if Martin sticks to his word, a rookie driver will take over the races he doesn't race in the 01 car. He has been offered to drive all year because he has done so good in racing this year, but he continues to say he'll stick with only part of the year.
The double zero car driver is David Reutimen (spelling? LOL) and is also a rookie. It will be interesting to see how he does - he seems to be doing an ok job for his first year or so.
There is a lot of changes with drivers and rules this year and it will be interesting to see how things shape up this year. . .as always.
