  1. I agree with yoyu with that Meadowmufn...have a hard time going for the Eagles due to Vick. I guess I should learn to forgive and move on, but it's easier said than done sometimes. Guess all I hope for is that he has learned from his past and moved on away from it. . .
  2. Meadowmufn, it looks like your SeaHawks may be playing at Soldier Field next week against the Bears depending on if the Eagles loses the game tomorrow against Green Bay. If the Eagles win, they will be playing the Bears. Guess I will be hoping the Eagles win tomorrow's game...would hate to be going against your team, Meadowmufn, but I'd have to root for the Bears. Plus, Green Bay being the Bears main rival, I'd hope the Eagles to win anyway.
  3. Well Roger, I think it is just you to feel that way, if I do say so myself. Afterall, this year, I resorted to watching football to pass the time during the off season in hopes of fighting away this withdrawl. Now instead of getting grumpy that there is no NASCAR to watch, I only get grumpy when my team doesn't win. LOL Though you are right about something...it is about time that there is at least a little light of hope of Daytona getting here. May be enjoying football right now, but would still rather be watching NASCAR. With the news of the Shootout being made official, it only proves that the Super Bowl of NASCAR is slowly getting closer.
  4. "Baby's got her Bllue Jeans On" Mel McDaniel This was my first favorite song and after all these years...still love this song! Great song!
  5. Meadowmufn - I just saw that on Yahoo! That the Seahawks beat the Saints after people saying they were undeserving of the playoffs. Guess your beloved Seahawks proved them wrong! Congratulations on their win! This is the first year that I have really gotten into football. I have tried in the past, but could never understand it. I still don't understand a lot of things with it, but am excited about it all the same. I think now that I found a team to follow and know their players and have watched a few games, I have found interest in football. (I may enjoy football now, but don't plan it passing baseball and NASCAR as my favorite sports...LOL) With that said...being a huge Chicago Cubs fan, I have went with the Chicago Bears to be my favorite football team. I will have to wait another week before my beloved Chicago Bears play their playoff game to watch it. Guess I could always watch the Green Bay game tomorrow if I felt the need to watch a football game, but figure I'll just stick with my Bears for now. I am excited they made it this far (especially after the poor season the Cubs had in baseball...) and am really hoping for a win next week. GO BEARS!!!
  6. Well Hoss...this will ruin the mood of my last two songs. Went from serious songs to a Christian song that is loud and more hip hop than anything else. I have a wide variety of different styles in Christian music...
  7. Sorry Hoss to ruin your next song...isn't my intention. This is a sharp song by Trace, it gives me chills each time I hear it...another serious and sad song. Sorry Hoss.. Don't know why, but guess those are the types of songs I can think of today with one word titles...
  8. Well be prepared to cry with this one. I read an article on this one in a Country magazine, I think. It is wrote by Eddie Montgomery (half of Montgomery Gentry) for his son who died at a young age. I kinda remember the story and how he died, but can't remember it a hundred percent, so I won't say it in order to not say it wrong. In the video, it has pictures that fans sent in of their lost loved ones...very sad.
  9. AJ is one of my favorite Country artist...despite all the new Country that is sung around him on the radio, he remains true to Country Music and to his own music. Don't get me wrong, I do like some of the new Country that is out there like Kenny and Keith and Tim, but it is also refreshing to still hear Alan's original country being played on the radio.
  10. I am now listening to the New Kids on the Block: Greatest Hits album. They just got done singing "Valentine Girl" and are now starting to sing "Let's Try it Again". I don't if I am the only NKOTB fan on the board or not, but love this album!
  11. Well I finally have a little newsworthy news to share with y'all... The Budweiser Shootout will be held on Saturday, February 12 at 8:10 on the Fox channel. This will be the 33rd Budweiser shoot out that is of 75 laps and will be broken into two segaments: first one is 25 laps seperated with a ten minute break and then a 50 lap segament. There will only be thirty drivers that are able to race in the Shootout: the twelve chasers, past Cup winners, Daytona 500 and Coke 400 winners, past Shootout winners, and Rookie of the Year winners from the years 2001-2010. (Kevin Conway won the Rookie of the Year in 2010...only because he was the ONLY rookie to race. Sad way to win, but at least he won the honor and will be included within the thirty racers on the twelveth...) They will have the annual Budweiser Shoot out Draw party on Friday, February 11 at 8:00 ET on the SPEED channel where the drivers will get to draw their starting positions for the Budwieser Shoot out race. This will be the first race to be raced on the newly repaved Daytona track...though they have been testing on the track. Kevin Harvick has won the past two Shootout races...(I for one am hoping for another driver to win it this year...the driver of the 24 car...LOL my opinion of course.) 35 more days until the Shootout then another eight days for the Daytona 500race equals 43 more days until the 2011 season to start! Don't know about y'all, but am starting to find a little hope that Daytona may eventually get here. A little hope to seeing my NASCAR withdrawl come to an end...
  12. Just a quick hello. HOpe your son is feeling better. Hope all is well in Texas for you. :)

  13. Welcome to HNet Hobie! Hope you enjoy it here. :)

  14. Congrats Waikiki! You are very well deserving of this honor. (It's hard to believe that it has already been a year since I was fan of the month...LOL) Enjoy your month dedicated to you.
  15. I am now listening to Tim McGraw's Number One Hits album I just got yesterday. . .being a big Tim McGraw fan, love every song on the two discs. Right now he is singing "Angry All the Time". "Last Dollar (Fly Away) will be the next song to come on. His new song on the radio "Felt Good on My lips" is the last song and have to say that is my favorite song on the radio right now...great song to turn the sound up and sing along. LOL.
  16. Cale Yarboro Question: What year was the first NASCAR race televised?
  17. Figured Richard Petty was an obvious answer and question, but figured after my last question, it seemed only fair to give an easier question. As for the wins... Richard Petty has two hundred wins to his NASCAR career...something that will never be met or done again. Believe they had more than one race a week and perhaps raced year round. Could be wrong about that...it's been awhile since I heard that. But do know that it is nearly impossible for anyone to get to 200 wins now. Question: Which two drivers have the most championships (tied)?
