"She's upset...didn't get chosen as a cheerleader 'cuz of em...." he said softly.

Frank smirked. "That's fine..."

"Her momma...chained her to a wall..." says quietly, unable to keep the angry tone from his voice. Normally he wouldn't tell the family stuff to just anyone, but he felt he could trust the kind doctor.

Frank scowled ather. "Bout time you showed up."

Luke swallowed as her eyes narrowed flushing as he realized how his invitation sounded...it wasn't what he intended at all, but he said only, "Yeah...s'Jaime."

"Well...maybe you could manage a night...I ain't much of a cook, but I'm sure I could think of something to make your trip worthwhile."

Luke thought a moment. "Well...don't doctors usually request follow up appointments?" he asked with a smile.

Luke couldn't help smiling at her. "I don't suppose you'd ever make house calls?" he asked with a sly grin.

Luke woke with a twinge of pain as she touched his foot, though he didn't cry out, knowing it would scare Jaime. "Hey there," he said softly. "So what's the verdict?"

By this time Hank was fast asleep and though he usually was a light sleeper, he didn't hear Loraine sneak out.

Dixie smiled. "No problem...it's nice havin' another lady round the house."

Elly was harrassing me about my inability to take a decent picture. It was John's fault really...if he hadn't been so darn sweet to me and if he didn't have such a great smile or if he would have given me a smack on the head instead of the squeeze I got I wouldna been so shaken up and been able to take a decent picture. Elly said she didn't trust me....hehe.... She is soooo sweet though...the sweetest person you ever met besides John... very friendly and down to earth and quick to give hugs like John is. So like I said...though I hate to admit it...they make a great couple.

"Night," returned Hank over his shoulder as he walked into the room he shared with Joe and shut the door. Though normally he didn't turn in this early, he had to admit that he was pretty tired. He glanced at Joe's empty bed. He reasoned that Joe had likely gone into town to the saloon to meet up with one of the many girls that were smitten wih him. That was fine with Hank. That meant he'd have no competition for Lorraine... He fell to thinking about her as he pulled off his boots.

Wasn't that Cooter?

Hank just smiled at her. "Our pleasure darlin..."

Hank took Lorraine by the hand, leading her inside.

Hank blushed as red as a peony. "I see."

Luke just hugged her tenderly, stroking her long hair, a smile on his lips.

Hank had a heavy frown on his face. "No...she don't seem t'...and I can't understand why."

Luke just held her closer still. "I love you sweetheart."

"Fly!" he exclaimed much hurt by her giving him the could shoulder as it were.

"Now Fly...don't be jealous....yer still my favorite girl," he laughed with a wink to Loraine.

"Wrong opinions. I'm sorry they upset ya sweetheart."

Luke jumped off of Trigger and after helping Loraine down hurried over to his horse. "Aw what's a matter darlin?" he asked Fly. "Lemme see that pretty hoof of yers."

"No I didn't....but I don't want ya hurt by anyone."
