Lori scratched her head sighing with frustration, she knew Luke was honeslty watching Ricky, not only was Ricky careless but he looked good too. Lori hopped in Midnight Rider driving off towards a tall offce building were Ricky had given her directions to go to. She walked in and went straight to the top, she knocked on the door, Ricky in there with these big time we-mean-business people.Lori smiled and started her southern charm. Lori looked to Ricky after a couple of hours had passed,"Ricky, Luke's getting out of the hospital in a couple of days and I have to be there to help him!" Ricky shrugged her off like it wasn't nothing, Lori humphed him and crossed her legs, sighing as she was bored. The first day of the new record label was over, she went to her hotel room and laid down. ~~~~~~~~~ The two days had passed and Luke was still sore, but out of the bed, on crutches. Cooter was on his way after he called Luke and had Little Luke on the bus, he'd come get him and help him home, praying B.L wuldnt be there. Lori was back in that same old building her last day there with that new record deal. She was soo tired ti wasn't even funny. She looked at the clock and saw the time Cooter'd be at the hospital anytime! Cooter pulled up going up to Luke's room, his dischraged papers were signed and he was ready fer home.Luke sighed seeing Cooter. they walked out of hs room and to the wrecker. Cooter helped him up and climbed in himslef. Driving home when they go tthere, they saw B.L..............

Lori looked to Luke,"Didn't they give you yer medication?" Luke shook his head,"Not yet, i wasn't ready fer them to." Lori nodded, She looked to the window,"Man, the shows been over at least an hour and they still aint went no wheres." Luke smiled,"Yea I could hear them making a racket all the way up here." Lori chuckled softly, she was about to say something when his phone rang. "Hello??" "Yea shes right here." Luke handed Lori the phone mouthing the words :RANDY" Lori rolled her eyes,"What Randy," "You gotta......" "look Randy, today has been one he-- of a day, Im here in the hospital with Luke and I ain't going no wheres." "But Lori, that new record company, they want to make you a new record deal!" Lori was almost in tears she was soo frustrated,"Randy, please, since I got here in Atlanta ive been running back and forth between Hazzard, the hospital, and that dern stadium, Cant they give me at least another week?? maybe at least a couple of days." Randy:No Lori!! this is important!" Lori hung the phone up before agreeing, she looked to Luke and sat on his bed,"Honey, I got a new record deal and they eed me down there ASAP, want me to stay?? Im sure Randy could get me a couple of days in so I can stay here with you." Luke smiled.........

Luke looked to Her,"What darlin?" Lori sighed,"Me and you can't....ah........you know..., least not fer awhile til the ectopic pregnancy is terminated, so that means more cold showers fer you AND me buddy!" Luke looked to her and...........

It had been hours that passed and Lori had signed autographs and had pictures taken she decided to go back to the hospital to talk things out with Luke. She got in Midnight and sped to the hospital. When she got out she took the elevator and walked slowly into Luke's room and smiled to him. Luke looked to her and smiled back,"Hey darlin." Lori smiled,"Luke I wanted to ask you, and Im afraid of the answer I'll get but, do YOU think you made the right choice?" Luke looked to Lori and sighed,"Be honest I don;t know. I love you with all my heart and I love Dixie, but We'll give it a shot ok?" Lori nodded, setting down beside him,"Were'd everyone go to?" Luke sighed,"Home, to help Dixie, You left me!!" Lori looked down,"Im sorry, I had t' go honey I thought Bo was gonna stay!" Luke...........

Lori looked to Dixie as she walked out, she knew something was up it was her cousin and she knew when she was lying. Lori looked to everyone and sighed,"I gotta go ya'll, Ricky'll kill me." Lori looked to Luke and winked walking out. She ran down stairs into midnight rider. When she arrived at the stadium it was packed full as usual. She walked around back to her dressing room, She put on a new pair of jeans and shined her boots a little, they were scuffed. She put on a pink tank top and got her guitar. Hearing the crowds roaring outside and the news crew blabbering she smiled and flipped her hair outta her eyes, walking up on stage. She flung her guitar around her, smiling to the crown stepping up to the Mic. The news announcer came on air,"Ladies and Gentlemen coming live from Atlanta, Miss Lori Davenport, our country music sweetheart." Lori began to sing. ~~~~~~~~~ Luke laid there as everyone filed out of his room leaving him by his lonesome again. He'd just made the biggest sacrafice of his life and his own girlfriend wasn't there to comfort him. Dixie and Lori either one wasn't gone seemed like a couple of minutes and he missed them. He looked out the window and saw the crowds lined up from miles away to see Lori. He smiled to himself. ~~~~~~~~ Back at the farm.........

Meanwhile Lori was on the oppsite end of the hospital getting her check-up done. She figured nothing serious, she hadn't went to the doctor yet, ths was her first time. The Doctor looked to Lori and smiled as he checked her blood pressure and her heartbeat, like a normal checkup. He then asked Lori has she been to the Doctor since she first found out she was pregnant.Lori shook her head no and looked down. The docotr then asked her,"What seems to be the problem Ma'am?" Lori looked to him,"Well, with my first son I never had pains like these, they hurt me constantly and once they start it seems like they won't stop. I choose certain times of the days to run to the bathroom to vomitm instead of the usual morning sickness." The Doctor nodded," Well Occasional abdominal discomfort is a common pregnancy complaint, and while it may be harmless, it can also be a sign of a serious problem.Severe or persistent abdominal pain should never be ignored. I'm glad that you came in today Miss, we may have an ectopic pregnancy here." Lori looked confused,"A what?" The doc looked to her,"An ectopic pregnancy occurs when a fertilized egg implants outside the uterus, typically in one of the fallopian tubes. It usually causes symptoms at about six or seven weeks after fertilization, but symptoms may occur as early as four weeks, before you even know you're pregnant." Lori swallowed hard,"Am I alright?" The Doc looked to her,"methotrexate, its a drug tha tis injected into the muscle and it does have the symptoms of naseau, vomiting, cramps. but itll help you produce a healthy child though." Lori smiled and sighed with relief,"But....there is some actions that have to be taken, You'll need to avoid alcohol and sex for a while, as well as any multivitamins or supplements that contain folic acid, which can interfere with the action of the methotrexate. And you'll need to come back in for blood testing to make sure that the pregnancy has really been terminated because it doesn't always work. If you experience any signs of rupture (such as severe abdominal pain, heavy bleeding, or signs of shock) during this process, call 911 right away." The doc told Lori. She smiled, Doc looked to her and said,"In about two to three days, I'll need you back here to take the drug so it can begin the process and help ya." Lori nodded walking out. She walked by Luke's room, everyone looked to her Cooter looked and said,"One down...whats wrong with you?" Lori looked to Cooter and began telling him and threst the story. Luke........

Lori sighed looking to Luke and then to Dixie,"Dixie?? you ain't serious are ya??" Luke looked to Lori surprised,"Lori, I thought you of all people would be happy." Lori shook her head,"Well if it's caused this much vickerin and arguin between the families, I don't..........." Luke sighed,"Make up yer mind Lori, mine's made up, me and Dixie has already decided and agreed on it.. we're both going to give this a try." Dixie looked to Lori and nodded, smiling a little. Loir looked to a furious Bo, whom said,"Luke!!! Uncle Jesse'll........" Dixie stopped him,"Its already said and done Bo, Uncle Jesse knows... he'll support our decision." Luke looked to Lori,"On conditions.." Lori nodded,"Dont try and stop me from seeing Dixie, and my other children." Lori nodded. The nurse looked to Dixie and pointed to the chair. Lori looked at her watch, in a couple of hours she'd have to go back to the stadiumand get ready. Luke looked to Lori and raised his brow at her,"What exactly are you doing bakc here in Atlanta this early anyways?" Lori sighed,"I was a big hit here yesterdaya nd they want me to go on tour, fer atleast a couple of days anyways." Luke smiled,"Thats great!" Lori nodded,"I was here intentionally to get a check-up, I didn't have these kind of pains with Little Luke, and Im worried." Luke nodded,"They still hurting you that bad?" Lori nodded smiling to him and walked out, Cooter grabbed her by the arm,"Lori, you know what that'll do to Dixie on the inside don't you?" Lori nodded,"Yea Cooter, I do..... I don't want to hurt her.. I love her to death." Cooter nodded,"Im glad you know...ohh Luther called, he said apparently you wasn't coming home?" Lori laughed,"Yea.... apparently I aint." Lori walked out and down to the doc's office. When she walked in the Doctor smiled to her and asked her what was wrong...............

Lori let the tears slip, she looked down at her stomach and rubbed her belly. She walked over wth the tears streaking down her face. She walked over to Luke and kissed his forehead one last time,"I knew you didn't love me Luke, and Im sorry I caused all of this." Luke woke up as she walked out he jollered to her,"Lori!!! wait!!" Lori just looked over her shoulder and shook her head. she turned the corner and left the hospital. Dixie heard Luke and woke up.........

:Dix, yer kiddin me?" Dixie shook her head,"I was never one to be like my cousin, I love her to death but shes a whore, Shes had experience since highschool." Luke really wished she wouldn't have said that,"Well Dix, that something else, I was Lori's first, in highschool." Dixie looked to him,"What??" Luke looked to herm"Why do you think we're in the mess we're in now, I never told no one, me or her neither one had, we thought ya'll knew, but you never did find out." Dixie turned on the bed, be danged to her if Lori hadn't done it again. Luke looked to Dixie,"Dix, honey??" Dixie looked to the foot of her bed,"Yea?" Luke looked to her,"Im sorry, for everything." Dixie looked to him,"May....maybe we did jump the gun too soon......" Luke swallowed hard,"Uncle Jesse doesn't like divorces," It cut straight to Dixie's heart,"Yea, I know and he doesn't approve of sneaking around behind no ones backs either." Luke had a tear in his eye,"Dixie no matter what I'll always love you." Dixie swallowed,"Me...too, I don;t want you to stop coming to the farm though..." Luke smiled,"You can count on that darlin!" Luke looked to her and smiled,"Talk, bout all we can do, yer too pregnant and Im too sore." Dixie laughed,"Yea reckon yer right." Luke sighed,"Dix..... I'm....when I get out I'm going back t' the garage...bout the only place I haf'ta go back to." Dixie shook her head,"Luke, I bought a double wide, with yer money...thats were it all went to....." Luke looked to Dixie with a stern face,"You did what?" Dixie swallowed hard,"Y..yea I did." Luke looked away,"Dix, why?" Dixie slowly looked up to him," Because I wanted to make living hard on you and Lori and apparently that didnt work did it?" Luke looked to Dixie,"D--- right it didn't! Dixie looked to Luke and sighed,"Guess that means you aint coming back to the farm are ya??" Luke shook his head,"Me and you is on thin ice right now, but there aint nothing oging to stop me from coming to see you or the youngins!" Dixie smiled. Luke knew what subject he had to bring up-divorce- he didn't want to, but it had to be discussed. "Dix, do you think me and you jumped the gun alittle?" Dixie looked to Luke and............ ~~~~~~~~~~ Lori meanwhile was in her hotel room. She thought that maybe she needed to go and have a check up done, it was suppose to be a monthly visit and it was that time. She called the hospital and scheduled an appointment, before her evening show, early that next morning. Lori laid back on her bed staring up at the ceiling thinking of Luke as always. She had an idea, maybe she could see Luke early that next morning for someone came by to see Luke.

They brung Dixie's bed into the room and placed it beside of Luke's. Luke swallowed really hard, He was glad Dixie was there, but if Lori found out, she'd leave for sure and he'd never see her, Little Luke or his other unborn child again. ~~~~~~ Lori drove home, putting Little Luke to bed, as it was late. She was back at the garage Cooter was about to leave when the phone rang, it was Ricky. Cooter hollered to Lori to pick the phone up, she did so hearing Ricky's voice. "Lori!! you haf'ta come back to Atlanta, Hogg already said you could!!! you were a BIGGGG hit here!!!" "Yer newly released albums are hitting the shelves and empyting out of the stores quicker than before!!!" Lori sighed, her stomach killed her badly. She looked down to Cooter motioning him up. Pointing to Little Luke's room to take him to his house to stay fer a couple of days. Cooter sighed doing so he packed his clothes and had him awake and downstairs. Lori hung the phone up, and rushed downstairs. When she reached the bottom she smiled to Little Luke,"Mommy'll be back honey, I've gotta go back to Atlanta." Little Luke nodded sleepily. Dang it! Lori couldn't spend one night with Luke because of Dixie and she couldn't spend no time with Little Luke. She got in Midnight Rider and pulled out heading right back to Atlanta. she couldn't stop and tell Luke, it was a tight schedule as it was. When Lori arrived back to the stadium, it was packed full again. She had just got back last night and here she was again. Lori wasn't dressed in her occasional dress, it was her normal jeans with holes in the knees, tank top, boots, and levi jacket. When she arrived She was quickly thrown out on stage, being use to it, she smiled waving hollering. She didn't realize that all was being televised, again. They were sorta giving her a congradulations on the baby. The announcer came on the air," Please welcome Miss Lori Davenport, country music sweetheart, to the stage!!" Luke had the clicker in his hand, seeing as thats why he had left it on the channel listening. Dixie hurt inside, not from her bundle or bundles of joy, but from Luke and Lori. Lori was up there, gave no signs she was sick,"Howdy ya'll!!! I reckon Im glad to be back, even though I never left!!" The crowd went wild. She began to sing. Luke........

Lori nodded trying not to be sick,"I....can help ya there.... Im stronger than..." She couldn't hold back no more, Lori ran to his bathroom and upchucked, she stayed for several mintues in there. Luke hollered to her,"Ya alright?" Lori came out flushing the toliet,"Fine now. I was wondering when that was every gonna come up." Luke laughed a little, Lori sat back down beside him smiling,"Like i was saying before, I can help ya there, Im stronger than what ya think I am." Luke nodded,"Yea but Im bigger than you, and yer pregnant though." Lori snorted at him,"Humph, I can help ya dont worry." Luke smiled. An hour passed and Dixie was headed on her way to the hospital again to see Luke one last time. Lori had little Luke up and in her amrs,"I reckon I better go, Dixie'll come back and thats all we need." Luke sighed, he still had to think on the divorce."Wish you could stay longer." Lori smiled,"Yea me too, But Dixie......." Luke nodded,"Yea I know it, I could talk to her though." Lori sighed,"You can try, you know her though." Luke smiled,"Yea, I'll see. Love ya darlin." Lori loved him but didn't know if him still being with Dixie, it didnt make her feel right, she knew the expected answer and said,"Love ya too." Lori walked out putting Little Luke in th back and pulling out. As she was driving down the road she saw Dixie go by her,"OHH S---!!!!" Dixie looked through her moirror and saw that ti was Lori, probably headed from the hospital, Dixie knew Luke hadn't let go of Lori, wellshe had to go see him anyways. Dixie arrived in the hospital and walked in Lukes room.........

Little Luke frowned and said,"Will you be ok daddy?" Luke smiled and chuckled softly,"Yea, daddy'll be fine." Lori looked to her son and tussled his hair around. Luke looked to Lori and said with a smile,"You moved back in the garage didn't you?" Lori sighed,"Yea, I did. awful lonely round there though without ya." Luke sighed,"Well, be about 8 weeks I reckon, think you can wait thst long?" Lori made a pouting face at Luke,"I dont know." Luke laughed as did Lori. She sat little Luke down on Luke's bed. She leaned forward a little, as she wasn't sick this morning, but it was hitting her now. Luke looked to Lori and asked,"Darlin, ya alright??" Lori made a sick face but retained and leaned back. "Yea, fine." Little Luke yawned and fell asleep beside his daddy, lori smiled and leaned back against the chair, looking to Luke. Luke.........

Cooter looked to Luke as Bo stepped out,"Lucas, I dont know what you said to Lori or what you did to her, but she came back to the garage...she said that you wanted her to move back in?" Luke nodded and agreed, he smiled at the fact that Lori would move back in. Cooter sighed,"Lukas, you can't keep em both forever. I sure hope you know what yer doing." Luke sighed and closed his eyes,"Lor still coming this evening?" Cooter nodded,"Yea she is, said had to get Little Luke cleaned up first." Luke nodded, he closed his eyes in pain and went to sleep. Cooter walked out looking to Bo,"Any luck?" Bo asked. Cooter shook his head no. ~~~~~~~~~ Hours had past and Cooter and Bo had left and went home, Lori had little Luke in the car and pulled out of the driveway heading towards the hospital. Lori hushed him taking him and setting in the chair beside the bed, it squeaked a little making Luke twitch a little. Lori chuckled softly as Little Luke sat in her lap, he was tired from his day of school. Lori began to softly sing a lullaby to him, Luke heard her and opened his eyes saying............

Lori meanwhile was still in the bed, the alarm going off. Little Luke was already awake and out of the shower, Lucille had breakfast fixed and at the first smell, Lori got up and ran for the bathroom. She came out several mintues later and looked to her son,"Hey baby, wanna go see daddy today sometime?" Little Luke smiled and screamed,"YEA!!!!" Apparently he had forgotten how mad he was at him. The bus arrived and Lori walked him out kissing his cheek before he got on. She walked back in and set down on the couch. She had to call Cooter and tell him that she was coming back. When she dialed the number Cooter answered,"Hazzard Garage?" "Lori?" Lori spoke up and told him, Cooter sighed and shook his head,"Lori I orta rang yer neck fer it but ok. You can atleast keep an eye on th eplace." Lori nodded saying goodbye and hanging up the phone. She instintaniously went to pack what little things she did bring.

Luke replied,"Well Uncle Jesse I cant choose, I love Lori and I love Dixie, maybe I went and jumped the gun with Dixie and married to soon?" Uncle Jesse knew were this was going,"Well do what you hae to Son and make the right choice." Uncle Jesse got up and walke dout. He was mad and didnt want to be bothered. Dixie saw him Bo wen tot Uncle Jesse and Dixie went into Luke's room,"Luke??" Luke.........

Luke sighed,"Ok, just let me think on it hon." Lori sighed rubbing his arm, she got up looking back to him,"Want me to bring Little Luke by tomorrow?? maybe after Dixie leaves?" Luke nodded,"Sure, night Lori, and I do love you." Lori stopped turning to him, shuting his door,"I do love you too." Lori walke dout the halls clear she saw Bo coming up the hall way she quickly dodged him by hiding behind a bush. When he walked by the bush Lori jumped out and took off down the hallway. She got in Midnight Rider and drove home. When she pulled in Bobbie Lee came out,"WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT ON THE NEWS???" Lori smirked,"Truthfulness, daddy im moving back out again, im moving back to the apt. in the morning." Bobbie Lee expected that,"Thats why you only packed so many nights worth of clothes didnt you?" Lori stopped she'd been caught,"Well yea." She walked in going straight to Bed, little Luke slept in her room with her. ~~~~~~~~ That next morning Dixie woke up, same routine,going to the bathroom, Uncle Jesse was ready, "C'mon Dix, im taking ya this mornin' ive gotta talk to Luke bout something." Dixie nodded, she had wore a better looking out fit today, they got in and pulled out.

Lori sighed,"Yea cause men can't handle business like that, they leave it to us women to do it all!!" Luke smiled to her,"Well we can't help it now can we?" Lori got up and dusted herslef off,"Nope!" They both laughed looking to each other. Lori though on it,"Luke.....how am I gonna be apart of yer life AND Dixie??" Luke sighed,"I don't know.....But I don't want you to leave though." Lori sighed,"Yea bout Little Luke, well he thinks you left me and him and well he thinks you aint coming back and I think ya aint either...I told him you wasnt and now he doesnt wanna talk to you." Luke waited before he replied,"You told him WHAT?!" Lori jumped a little at his tone,"I can't bring him here!!!! Dixie'll......... Luke stopped her,"Lor, Hes MY son too, Dixie understands!!" Lori looked to him,"OK, OK......Geesh yer worser than I am!!!" Luke snorted at her, laughing a bit. Lori walked over to Luke and set beside him on the bed, he put his hand in her lap, smiling to her,"Lori don't go....stay." Lori looked away,"Luke....I cant see you if I do." Luke raised his arm up a little turning her chin towards him,"Sure you can....." Lori took his hand in hers,"How Luke?" Luke...........

Lori leaned her head up against the wall, she began to let the tears slip away, Luke looked to her and sighed,"Lor..... do you promise me?" Lori couldnt take it no more she slumped down in the floor drawing her knees up to her chest, buring her head in her arms. "Luke.....I love you I really do....I don't wanna leave.......but what choice do I have?" Luke.........
