The Cup Series raced at Las Vegas and I yet again, missed it. I need to get back to watching the races, I don't know what my problem is. I went out instead of watching it. It looks like Kyle Larson held off Tyler Reddick to win the race.
Elliott seems like he is still struggling this year...but the season is still young.

Yeah Larson held off Reddick thanks to NASCAR's inability to fix the 1.5 mile package. Once the 2nd car catches the lead car and is stuck in its wake there's no passing the lead car. Imo they should just make all tracks minus Daytona, Talladega and Atlanta 750+ horsepower and get rid of some of the down force. 
Garret you didn't miss much. It wasn't that exciting except on the restarts. 

That's pretty much why they introduced the DRS (Drag Reduction System) in F1. The aerodynamics of the modern cars leaves a hole in the air making it difficult to follow closely. Now, at certain places on each circuit (between 1 and 3 locations depending on the track), if a driver can get within a second of the car in front of them at the detection spot they can open a flap on the rear wing, which gives them a few km/h extra. However, on some tracks a DRS train forms behind a slightly slower car, and as everyone is within a second of the car in front of them, they all get DRS!

I saw something cool on the local news today. They showed a semi sitting at a red light in a small town near me and there was a huge orange Dukes 01 that took up most of the back doors. Somebody is a big fan!

One bad thing about owning a sports sedan is people want to stop light race....a lot , especially when the lanes merge down to 1 lane. Tuesday I almost got ran off the road by one of these clowns. I just got lucky that the light turned green as I was coming up to the light so I just kept going the speed limit but apparently this jerk in a Lincoln wasn't happy and floored his SUV and as I was making my way over in front of him he put it right next to me and since there was oncoming traffic I slammed on the brakes so no one would get hit head on by that idiot. This clown was amused by this when I caught up to him at the next stop light. Really your amused at almost causing a head on collision and running someone else off the road. I was so mad at their selfishness and ignorance but remembered the local road rage shooting that happened a few weeks ago so I let bygones be bygones.

So far, my Quest to provide and fill the hole left by Revell, MPC, AMT, ERTL, R2, and Auto-world has lead me to create General Lee Creations from a Facebook page, to a full blown model making Hobby/Company, I am going to be releasing My own custom Modeled 1969 Dodge charger General Lee Alongside a SLA printed Bo and Luke due in 1/43 scale (The Bo and Luke duke models weren't created by myself, but a very competent user on Cults3D, and I bought the rights to use these figures though the Charger is all my work, 100%) and by Q3 of 2024 I will have 1/25 models ready to roll off the line for any one who may want one along side figures of all your favorite cast members, Rosco, Cooter, Bo, Luke, Boss, Daisy, Jesse, and Flash! 

I will be happy to take orders from anyone for the currently being Produced 1/43 model kits, $20 per model kit, $10 per pair of Bo and Luke Duke!

Also in the current like "Series 1, Rebel Models GLC"

NASCAR officials probably noticed it during one of the many wrecks. 
As for Joey Logano's gloves I don't see the point of penalizing him as he most likely wasn't the only one wearing them during Daytona 500 qualifying. And the video they released on Twitter is so low quality that you can't tell the difference from a regular glove.

What a hysterical day that was.....and historical. Thanks so much for posting these. It' s so good to have PJ back here in Hazzard County. It sure doesn't seem like 40 years whenever I put a DVD in and hit play. 

We had grandkids for the weekend so I didn't see any of it but caught some highlights. In fact, I didn't even see dirt bikes. I do have them recorded and have started to watch one race at a time. They have 8 races. 4 heat races, 2 last chance qualifiers and 2 main events. They use 250cc and 450cc motorcycles. 

Well race number two of the season and race number two of the season that I missed. Sorry to disappoint y'all.  But it looks like a rough race for Chase Elliott, so maybe it was for the best. Starting at lap number three when Martin Truex Jr who hit Austin Dillon who collected several drivers including Chase Elliott. Of what it looks like, every time he raced towards the top ten, he'd get hit again. Sounds like an exciting race. Daniel Suerez won the Atlanta race.

Back to NASCAR...we are racing at Chase Elliott's home track in Atlanta. Hopefully that'll bring him the luck he needs to find his way back to Victory Lane. I remember years ago when John Schneider gave the opening command there or sang the National Anthem or both. It's been awhile, but I was excited when it was him. This year's race will be Sunday at 3 ET on FOX.
