Just a little reflection on writing. There was a time I just wrote fanfic, with no clue about statics... and be content of a single review. 'Till "Memories?" I don't know why, maybe it's because of me (doubting of my writing) or maybe something changed into fanfiction.net's realm, or maybe I simply became aware of something I didn't notice, previously. I'm pretty sensitive to changes in athmosphere wherever I go, and I couldn't help but notice that a LOT of old writers are stopping writing (GOOD and TALENTED writers), and I don't know why: Hazzard's realm is dying? Are they noticing that strange change in athmosphere, like me? Or... simply.. they're interested in other fandoms, right now. So, I'm wondering when I'll stop writing, 'cause it'll happen.... it's normal, and I'm wondering how it'll happen: will I be interested in something else beside DOH? or why? Sometimes I wonder WHY, and WHEN, a fanfic writer just decides "OK, stop, I've had enough". Uh, no, I'm not saying I'm going to stop NOW, just a reflection. :-)) I have to finish "Shattered", anyway, and I just have to find the naivety of my first writing... and I'm finding it again.

Thank you very much, Roth. IF and WHEN you'll read my other stories (I don't want to force you), tell me if you like them, and what kind of stories you prefer. I'm planning to open a poll on my page on fanfiction.net, asking readers what story they prefer the most. I think it could be helpful, for me... if someone answers the poll, LOL. Lately someone read with a GREAT attention "Memories?" and then "Reaching you" (re-reading every chapter), and sometimes I wonder WHY readers don't react. It's the same for you: there are a LOT of people watching your thread of rare pictures (trust me, a LOT of peole), but just few stop and say "Great, thanks Roth, you're doing a great job". A bit sad. Ok, I'm going to create that poll ;-)

Thank you, Roth!!! I REALLY appreciate it. Uh, well, if you're interested in COMPLETED stories, I wrote several stories about DOH (you can find them on my page on fanfiction.net... or here, scattered in the "Fanfic announcement page"). I can say the stories I'm most prideful of are "Snow", "Memories?" and "Reaching you" (written some years ago); and I'm pretty proud of the recent "Carry that weight". But.. to be honest, I think I've lost something, after "Mamories?": a spirit, a joy in writing, a perspective, I don't know, but something changed from them. And I had also a bad crisis as I was writing "Carry that weight", to the point I was going to stop writing. But at the end I've understood what the problem was: I was forgetting about the original show and the original characters, and I was focusing on something away from my sensitivity and idea of the show, forcing myself into a new path (a path not right for me). I broke my basic idea and my particulr perspective, and now I'm still recollecting the broken pieces. And... do you know what helped me? Re-watch the original episodes, catching, again, the characters as they were, learning to write a story for the characters as they were and not the characters for a story as it has to be (a bit difficult to explain, I know, sorry, but it's something I'm still understanding and trying to nderstand better and better). And your pictures are helping me, too, 'cause I can feel the spirit of the original show, something I was unfortunately losing. SO, I'm finally back to my old road (and to this Forum... a Forum I confess I abandoned a bit for a while): and be back means having closed some doors behind me, doors I don't want to open, never again. 'Cause I have the feeling that readers who usually followed me liked more my pevious stories: even if I know people are reading, and liking, "Shattered", my instict tells me that people want stories like "Memories?", from me, and I'm sad to know that, for sure, I've disappointed some readers. It's why I'm so concerned about keep on writing such a dramatic story without losing the focus on Hazzard as it was: friendship, honesty, justice, love. :-)) Blah... blah... blah... sorry for my verbosity, LOL

Looking at these pictures I'm noticing how much John changed along the series ('cause probably he was very young when DOH started, and it's normal changing so much at that age). I prefer him in the last series, more mature, more man and less "boy". Cathy... Cathy is always beautiful... what a gorgeous woman, I LOVE her smile (no surprising Enos loved Daisy, ). People (uh, men) usually look at her body, but I think she has a really sweet and genuine smile... and beautiful hazel-green eyes.

Glad you have so many pictures to post Doin' it for NOTHING??? Are you kidding? I think this is one of the thread most read, no, I'm SURE this is the thread most read. About people not reacting... now, if there's something I've understood, as a fanfic writer, is that there are a LOT of people who read fanfics but don't review, and I've learnt to be content to know there are people liking my stories (I'm surprised to notice people reading oldest stories beside my new ones, again again and again) even if they don't show me what they think. Shy people?

Thank you, Roth, I really appreciate it. The series Enos... it's very foggy in my mind, 'cause I watched it only one time, when I was a child. But I remember an episode where Enos' colleagues go on strike, and he's the only one to keep on working, 'cause it's his job (totally Enos-style): this is the side of Enos I want to write of

GREAT job, Roth. GREAT!!! I can't help but keep on saying you're doin' a great thing. I don't know if Admins are planning to collect these pictures somewhere in the Gallery (in order not to lose them, in the future when maybe this thread will be scattered between various threads, no more at the top of the page... even if I hope this thread is goin' to be on the top for a LOOOONG time). These pictures deserve a honorable place.

Do someone remember a thread about the farm's floor plan? I think Roger posted something 'bout it.

Warning: SPOILER!!! OK, It's finally time to explain what "Shattered" is about. I posted a new chapter few days ago... and readers got it (after the first foggy chapters)... in effect there was too much clues in this chapter. NOW, this fic is a sort of cross-over between DOH (the series) and Enos (the series), 'cause part of the story is set in L.A. The story is about... ehm... police brutality: what Enos would do if he saw some officers acting... not as good cops, and the consequences of it. I like to explore his mind and his idealism (and how such a thing can affect him). I just want to say that this fic is not against "cops", and I want to say to readers who're following it that I hope I didn't offend anybody, touching this kind of topic (it's the thorny topic I was talking about), and if someone is offended, I'm sorry. It's not a story against cops but a story against violence, and the real meaning of being a cop, an honest cop. I prefer to say it, and... I decided to say it here 'cause I can't say it at the end of every chapter, as a final note. Recently, looking at pictures Roth is posting (GREAT pictures!!!), I started to ask to myself if I'm not betraying Hazzard's spirit with a fic so dramatic and violent, in some points, but, hey, fanfics means also exploring new paths and new adventures for our beloved characters: my attempt, now, is to write this fic remembering the spirit of the show (and it's why I'm re-watching some episodes and I'm very glad to find some great pictures on this site... 'cause they remember me the show; and it's why the fic is set in Hazzard whereas the "dark"-L.A.'s part is written as flash-backs). In the future, I promise to write fics less dark and more sweet (as my first ones... I realized, recently, how much people like them ) OK, I won't bother you anymore with my confused and confusing thoughts. I think I said everything I have to say (and a lot MORE, as usual ). And... thinking about it... maybe I shouldn't even have opened this thread. Maybe I worry too much for stupid things. I hope you didn't find it pointless... and weird.

GREAT!!!! I feel the spirit of the show, AGAIN. I'm goin' back to old times, enjoying the show as it was. I'm re-finding the characters as they were, and I'm ... HAPPY!!!! ... beside, it helps my writing. It's a new challenge, a new inspiration, new air!!! Thanks to these new pictures (since these pictures are totally NEW for me, it's a big surprise and a big coming back to the show, a new interest and a willing to write better and better, catching this spirit). THANK YOU!!!! It'd be great finding scenes, from various episodes, never aired. That would be GREAT, beside these pictures.

BRAVO Roger!!! Roth_Potter's topic deserves EVERYBODY's attention. But I think a lot of people's already noticed it (or I hope so, 'cause it's a GREAT topic).

Just posted a new chapter, "Tidy floor". I think it's the first chapter where it's possible, really possible, to understand what the story is about (in the previous chapters I keep things "foggy"). I hope you enjoy it.

Thank you SO much!!! These pictures are REALLY great!!! A refresh of the atmosphere of the show, and I need this "refresh", LOL, 'cause lately, in my writing, I was losing that spirit. Again, THANK YOU!!!! Sonny is my favourite (did you notice?), but I LOVE everything of the show, every character and how characters interacted, especially the basic idea of the show (family, friendship, love, justice... beside action and humor, a lot of action and a lot of humor, oh yeah). Catherine, WOW... she's beautiful, great picture of her with Coy and Vance. :-))

Really really GREAT pictures. I LOVE the one with James and Ben "teasing" Sonny. As I said, I like the friendly, funny and relaxed atmosphere behind the scenes.

If I won the lottery... I'd die because of anxiety, LOL. I'm not much interested in having a lot of money... a lot of money brings only trouble. I just want to feel at ease with myself, having people I love around me, a comfortable home. Serenity, it's the only thing I want... and money can't buy serenity and healt. But more money can be useful and funny to use in a LOT of ways In effect, thinking about it, there's NOTHING I want to buy so badly .... maybe... I'd use money for my house (my shelter.. and other shelters, at sea, mountain, lake, and so on... different shelters in different relaxing places... but I'd not have the time to use those shelters, LOL, unless I'd stop working 'cause the large amount of money... and I don't think stop working would be good, for me).

... and an applause to the one who promoted Enos' fanfics on Sonny's page, LOL. (ehm... no... not me, I wouldn't be able to do something like that, ... too much embarrassing and I have no much self-confidence). Anyway, great and productive idea!! (NOW, FINALLY I've understood the apparent inexplicable increasing number of my stories' hits). ... the power of Facebook... unfortunately I CAN'T promote my stories with my real name... too shy . Ok, I'm roaming about FB and its power, sorry. I'm the queen of roaming. Keeping on talking about Sonny and his FB's page, GREAT picture of him when he was a little child. WOW!!! (was he... blonde????)

Just watched Sonny's pictures about his wedding. So cute... and his wife Paula is really a beautiful woman, in those younger days and now. He's so young in those pictures, I think in his twenties (whereas in the Dukes he's 45 years old, WOW). I confess if I hadn't known he was him, so young and with his hair buzzed, I wouldn't even have recognized him. And... in his FB page there are a couple of pictures of Sonny's shirtless. I want more... I want more... I want more... uh, oh, but I'm not lusting, honestly, just artistic business (he inspires my fics).

I've always loved the show because of the friendly, loving and funny atmosphere, both in the episodes and behind the scenes. Thank you again for these great pictures. Sorrel in the last picture is so sweet (the first time I see "Boss" smiling like that). :-)) I really LOVE to see the actor behind the character.

Welcome. Interesting nick and avatar, for sure unusual (it means you're a great fan of DOH, since you like so much a so minor character). I'm italian, I tried to watch DOH in english... but I don't understand anything (just few more than anything... I think it's 'cause of the South accent, 'cause I usually understand English)
