Rick turned to Turk and asked, "So, you know where the car is and the girl from the garage, but you're no closer to Amy. Now, what?" ~~~~~~~~~~~ Amy looked at Luke and said, "How do you plan to get me outta here when it's time to?" Luke replied, "Simple. We just post you bond." Amy nodded and said, "You don't have to stay here you know." "I know, but I've set there enough to know how it feels. Besides, I happen to care." Luke said. Amy looked him in the eyes, "You always have cared too much about too many women." She might as well kicked him, as said that. Luke sighed, "Yeah, I guess I have at that, but I DON'T see Ernie standing here." Amy looked around more to blink back her tears than anything, "Ya, know I don't either."

Luke stopped the General beside the wrecker, "Ya managed to get her locked up huh?" Lori looked at him and shook her head,"When will you ever manage to trust me?" Luke sighed, "Oh, I trusted you that you could get her arrested. And, I know you are right about it being a safe place and all................." Lori and Dixie heard the unspoken word loud and clear.......'But' Lori almost growled at him,"SPIT IT OUT DANG IT!" Luke took a deep breath adn shook his head no. "Nothing. Thanks Lori for helping." He meant that. "Cooter is still at the farm. Why don't you head back over there? There is safety in numbers. I'll be behind you." Lori rolled her eyes and put the truck in gear giving him a sarcastic smile as she pulled out. "Sh--!" Luke said, "Turk will be after her as much as Amy since she got away from him. I don't know why she just didn't report the kidnapping to Rosco and have him pick Turk up since we know where he is, or was." Luke said to Dixie. Dixie asked, "Are you going to follow her?" Luke replied, "I hope she went to the farm and like I said, 'I'd be behind her', but first I'm going to talk to Frankie a second." He pulled up by Frankie in Lucifer and figured he'd try to convience her to go to the farm too. He hoped she wasnt' as stubborn as Lori. "Why don't you take Lucifer over to the farm and put him in the barn? Turk is bound to be looking for it and if he finds Lucifer and you he'll likely try to get it out of you where Amy is." Frankie said, "Luke I can take care of myself." Luke nodded, "Yeah, well so can Lori but he got her. Just meet me there Ok?" Frankie finally agreed, "Ok. I'll head over there, but I don't know if I'm staying." Luke sighed, "Fair enough. I'll be there in a bit." Dixie looked at Luke. She knew where the next stop was even before he said it. Luke pulled out and began to circle Hazzard Square, "Dix, ..... I, ..... um, .... need to go..." "Check on Amy?" Dixie finished his sentence. Though she understood that Luke always thought of himself the 'protector' to all of them, she understood this was natural for him to want to do, but she had to admit to herself that at this moment it really pissed her off. Luke took a deep breath and let it out very slowly before he continued, "Yes. I just need to tell her that we all thought this was the safest place for her. I'd like you to come inside and not be out here in the General Lee alone." Dixie knew that Luke was right. If Turk saw the General Lee, he figure to get 'at' Luke or Amy by getting anyone they cared about. "I'll go in, but I can't go downstairs with you Luke. I can't watch you two together knowing he could be carrying your child too." Luke merely nodded. He'd take what he could get right now. "Ok. I think I'll park somewhere else though." He pulled past the jail and parked. As they walked up the sidewalk Luke reached for Dixie's hand. He wasn't a bit suprised when she moved her hand away from him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Luke went downstairs alone. Amy was setting on the bunk wondering if this had been such a good idea. When she heard someone coming down the stairs she looked up. Seeing Luke she got up and went to the bars. Luke looked at her, then looked at the floor for a long moment. Finally he looked back at Amy, "I'm sorry about this. All of this. But, I had to agree with Lori. This is likely the safest place you can be until they get Turk or until the race." Amy looked at him, "Yeah, I know, but I can usually fight my own battles." She put her hand on her not so flat tummy. "I'm only here for one reason." Luke shook his head, "I know that."

Luke shook his head took Dixie's hand and said, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm going." he said to Jesse and the others. Luke and Dixie followed Lori outside she was already in the wrecker and gone. Luke swore. "Well, there she goes!" Cooter came outside and also swore, "She took MY truck! Dang her!! Jesse walked out on the porch and saw Luke and Cooter just standing there, "Are ya'll just going to stand there?"

Cooter looked up and seen Lori fall in the road in front of the wrecker. He slammed on the brakes and stopped. Reaction told him to take the tire jimmie that he carried under his seat with him. "Dixie slide ove and call the others." he said as he grabbed the tire jimmie and hurried around the front of the wrecker. "Lori are you Ok." Dixie grabbed the CB mic, "Shotgun to Lost Sheep. We've got Whiskey Bent here with us." Then she seen the bushes moving and added, "Looks liek we have company guys!" Lori was still breaking hard but said as she started to get up, "Yeah, ..... Just get me in, ...... the truck." Cooter took her arm and nearly lifted her into the truck as he turned to go to the other side of the truck, someone grabbed his left arm. That was a mistake as Cooter swung the tire jimmie hitting the person who had grabbed him even before he had seen it was Turk! Cooter had hit him hard enough to knock the wind out of him and looked up to see Rick coming at him from the other side. Cooter back swung and hit him with enough force to get him backed away from him and jumped into the passenger side of the truck and looked at Dixie who was already putting the wrecker in reverse. Dixie had dropped the wrecker into reverse and was letting the clutch out as Cooter jumped in. She was backing down the road at a good speed looking for a place to turn when Bo shot the General Lee over the small hill. It was all Dixie and Bo could do to stop before the General Lee got a front end full of wrecker! It was a toss up to know who hit the brakes harder, Dixie or Bo OR Luke or Cooter hitting the imaginary brake on the passenger side of the vehicles. Luke regained his control and seen what was going on, "Back up Bo. Let her get turned around."

There were three main ways out of Hazzard, Cooter and Dixie and Bo and Luke knew they hadn't went down Rt 7 because they had came in that way. Bo and Luke went toward the Boar's Nest, Cooter and Dixie went near the County line. As the sun was coming up, Dixie said, "Cooter look at those tracks. What ever made those were moving fast!" Cooter said, "And, Turk would be!" He said as they drove further out of town. They were heading toward Razorback mountain. "There is nothing up here, Dix. We may be on the wrong track." The tracks they had been seeing suddeningly turned right off the main road onto a 'trail' of a road. Dixie reached for the CB, "Shotgun to Lost Sheep. Have you found anything?" Luke snatched the mic and said, "No we haven't seen anything to make up think we are on the right track." Dixie said, "We have recent tracks cutting right off the main road at the top of Razorback mountain. We're checking it out."

Luke said, "Just stay put and don't let him know you are there. If he's looking for her there then he has no idea where she is so she should be safe there." Lori nodded and heard the door open,"Uh oh....I got comapny..." She laid the CB mic down and hunkered down beside the table. She saw Turk and his buddy stand there looking around. Lori swallowed and stayed quiet her eyes closed. Luke swore. He went to the bedroom grabbed his jeans and boots, "Bo Lori's got trouble at Cooter's. Move it!" Bo suprisely was up, in his jeans and boots and right behind Luke who had walked the hood and already starting the General Lee, "Bo radio Cooter! I'm sure he will be real happy about someone breaking into his garage!" Bo grabbed the CB, "Lost sheep 2 to Cazy C! Hey Crazy C, YOU have company at infromation central!" Dixie was on her way back to bed when she herad Bo. Going to Cooter's room, "Cooter I have no idea how they know but Bo says someone is in the garage!" She was already heading for her shoes and wrecker. It wouldn't take Cooter long to get to the truck! She knew her brother, you didn't mess with his truck or the garage!

After putting Turk on his way, Luke thanked Lori for getting Amy somewhere safe. Then he set off to get Frankie and Lucifer up to Lori's cabin where Amy was at. He told Frankie. "When I get there, I 'm going off road a bit just keep your speed up a little Lucifer should go right up it." In the cabin Amy heard the General Lee and Lucifer coming. She was furious that Turk had followed her again. Luke and Frankie came in. There was a very awkward silence between them. Luke looked around and said, "Ya'll should be safe up here and there is a bit a food in the cabinets. You can reach me buy CB, OK." Amy's eye fell to the floor as she said, "Thanks, for everything huh, Luke." Luke knew what she was thinking or had been hoping. "Amy I can't stay." "I know." Amy sighed and said, "I just hoped you would. You really feel something for her?" She had meant Lori. Luke said, "Amy it's the da----- thing, I feel something for you all. But, with everything going on I think it's really best I don't stay." "I understand Luke. Really I do." Amy said. Luke turned and left. It was really late when he made his way into their bedroom. Bo was laying in bed still awake.....

Luke was setting quietly in the shades of the porch when Bo walked up. Bo never saw him until he spoke, "How is she? Huh?" Bo replied, "He--, Luke how should I know?" Luke shot him a look. "Bo on the possibility that you two end up spending a lot of time together in the future ya'll really need to learn to communicate." Amy refused to stay are the farm because Lori and Dixie wasn't and she knew if she and Frankie did it would only cause trouble but she would admit to herself that she was a bit concerned at staying in town at the hotel just her and Frankie with Turk running around.

Luke and Dixie had left the table to dance a dance and talk without half the County hearing them. Dixie said, "It bothers you they are both racing?" Luke couldn't deny it. Dixie replied, "I may not be happy about the over all possibilities Luke, but I understand your concern and I'm proud of you wanting to take care of your children. I do really try but sometimes I can't help but get just a bit jealous. He--, I've always known I was far from your first. And, then finding out about you being with all of us in like two days. Luke I can only hope that whatever happens with the babies that I am the one that will be your last." Luke nodded and could only reply, "I know, Honey." After the dance was finished, Luke said, "I'm going to try to get to the bar." Dixie said, "Well, I'm going to the bathroom again. This is beginning to get annoying." Luke replied with a smirk as she turned, "Sorry." About the time Luke had gotten to one end of the bar their was a certain red haired female up also had walked up to the bar several places down from Luke. He couldn't help but notice Ernie walk up to her and Luke couldn't help but listen to the conversation. Ernie had already drank several drinks of liquid courage and had waited to get Amy away from the crowd she had walked in with. He reached around her midsection and placed his hand on her stomach. Before Amy knew who's hand was around her she had automatically became offended and said, "Hey, what is the idea?" As she turned to see who was touching her she ended up looking Ernie Ledbetter face to face. Ernie asked, "I, ......... understand this little one 'could be' mine?" Amy shrugged and said, "It's possible." Ernie nodded, "Well, Sweet Cakes, if it ain't mine, do you mind telling me who elses it could be?" Amy did not really want to have this conversation but saw no way out of it. She shook her head and replied, "Luke Duke's." Ernie, much like all of Hazzard, had heard about not only Dixie Davenport certainly carrying Luke's child but also the possibility that Lori Davenport COULD be carrying his twins. He turned leaving Amy standing there alone and headed for Luke. Luke had been listening and knew he was coming his way. He turned to meet his old high school adversary. Ernie said, "Luke I don't know what you are trying to pull with these ladies, but know right here, right now, I will take responsibility for my actions but not yours!" Luke replied, "I had no intention of asking you to and I'm certain the lady did not either." While Luke and Ernie were attempting to reach a common ground, both heard a very angry voice demand, "Who's is it?" They looked up to see Amy's ex-mechanic Turk twisting her arm and demanding, "Who you layed with Amy? I should stomp that bastard right out of you!" Before he knew what him, Turk when flying across the bar as both Luke and Ernie turned on him. Bo looked at Cooter and said, "Oh, he--!!" He was glad Lori was in the restroom and maybe this would be resolved before she came back out. Daisy thought quick since she was used to this and got Amy to the other side of the bar as the entire place ended up in a free for all!

Luke asked, "You found him and told him?" Lori said, "I did." Luke nodded. Daisy reminded, "Ya'll know with Rosco gone and over half the drivers not ther last night they are announcing the drivers tonight at 8 o'clock. Luke sighed. Jesse said, "Is it possible that you all can go to the Boar's Nest tonight and I not have to coem get at least one of you out of jail in the morning?" No one answered. Jesse said, "I suggest ya'll think long and hard on it before you go." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That night at the Boar's Nest.........................

As they got to the farm, Luke said, "I wanted to get the three of ya'll out here together and talk this thing over but I see Frankie had already got Amy. I'm going to have to find her and talk to her." Before either girl could saly antyhing Bo turned down the Luke driveway only to see Lucifer setting in the yard. Luke sighed. Dixie said, "Well, looks like you don't have to look real far. Ya know I told you last night I understood you wanting to help IF that is your child and I do. Luke what hurts me is that you offered to help even if its' not yours. Why?" Luke replied, "That's why we need to have this talk." Lori snorted,"Yea hes just trying to be a bigshot....he wants two women at one time now!! just call him big daddy!" Luke shot Lori a look as Bo stopped the General beside Lucifer. "Good luck cousin!" Luke glared at him. Jesse stepped to the porch, "You ALL just come on in here and get settled down and Lori that means you too!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Once everyone was settled down Jesse said, "Ok, now. I've talked to Luke earlier. I'll tell you all I don't approve of his actions or those of several others of you all in this room. But, Luke feels, and I tend to agree that if this talk happens anywhere but right here. So I'm going to set right here and I expect you all to also until we decide how to handle this. Luke?" Luke took a deep breath and began, "I need to talk to I guess all three of you all but I'd sorta like to be able to with out worrying about a knife in my back while doing it." Dixie looked at Amy and Lori, "Ok, Luke." Amy said, "I just came to the Boar's Nest to talk to you. I didn't want any trouble." Lori raised an eyebrow,"Get on with this rooms toooo small fer the three of us....Don't worry won't be your back the knife would be sticking in...." She glared at Amy. Jesse scolded, "Loren!" Lori looked down,"Sorry Sir..." She grumbled and mumbled death threats. Jesse shot her another look, but let her mumble. Luke turned to Amy, "Ok, so I've pretty much got this figured out I think. The night after we together I stood you up at the Boar's Nest. You and Ernie were together that night?" Amy wasn't real comfortable reveiling details of her sex life in front of half the County, but answered, "Yeah, that's right Luke." Luke added, "Which was about twenty four hours after we were together." Amy nodded. Luke said, "Well, you can ask Bo and Lori if a Doctor hasn't already told you there is no way tell who's it is until after the baby is born." Luke sighed and figured to lay out all his card now while Jesse was there. "Amy the way this all falls together since you confirmed when you were with Ernie is: Lori was with Bo Mar 1; I was with Lori Mar 2nd; Amy and I were together the night of Mar 2nd - 3rd; I was also with Dixie the night of Mar 3rd; which happens to be the night Amy confirmed she was with Ernie" Luke swore. "So,..........." Jesse summed up, "So, in case ya'll can't do the math. Luke here could be the father of one, two or four! And if he is the father of four they were all concieved in with in forty-eight hours of each other." Jesse let that sink in then said, "There is one party possibly involved in this entire mess that needs to know he is possibly a father." Luke sighed, "Ernie." Jesse nodded, "Ernie." Amy covered her face, "Yeah, Ernie." Jesse asked, "Who is going to tell him?"

Luke was up early. He had already finished his chores and started on Bo's. He did not want to face Jesse with all this this morning but was thankful he didn't have to last night. Jesse made his way into kitchen to start coffee only to find the pot still warm and half full. He looked up to see Daisy, "You the one who made coffee already?" Daisy shook her head no, "Probably Luke unless I miss my guess." Jesse raised his eyebrow and waited. Daisy shook her head, "Uncle Jesse I don't think it's my place. Just talk to Luke or maybe just listen to him this morning. Last night at the Boar's Nest was bad!" Jesse respected Daisy for not betraying Luke and he knew she would tell him later if Luke did not. "Ok, Daisy." Luke came in from doing all the chores even before Bo was up. He knew he needed to be at the courthouse early for all the girls so the chores had to be done. Jesse looked at him, "You're up early, want to tlak about it?" Luke was greatful that Daisy was either not up or in the shower, and Bo of course was still asleep. He replied, "Ah, yeah, just give me a second to get something." Luke went and got the old calendar Jesse had given him several months ago. When he walked back in he said before setting it down, "Remember when you gave this to me you said it could save me or hang me?" He had the calendar turned to March. Jesse took a long drink of coffee and replied, "I remember." Luke said, "You also said you didn't want to see it but now I think you should. I just may need a referee!" Jesse eyes widen and waited. Luke explained, "Please just hear me out before you yell at me. Ok, the first time............" Jesse looked at Luke with stern eyes, but a soft face. Luke continued, "That I was with Dixie may or may not be factor but it was the last week of Feb.; Lori got out of jail for running shine after 90 days on March 1. I understand she and Bo were together that night. I ran into her and ended up with her March 2; later that day I went to the Boar's Nest adn Amy Creavy, you remember her, showed up and that is the night I didn't come home. Need I say more. There was a fight on March 3rd at teh Boar's Nest where Dixie and Daisy got me out. Me and Dixie were together that night. Uncle Jesse, Amy showed up last night at the Boar's Nest she is obviously pregnant. I talked to her at the jail and she told me it may be mine or Ernie Ledbetter's of all people's,.....Luke uttered a few profanities, ......... The only conclusion I can come to is when I went out with Dixie on the 3rd, Amy was peeved and went out with Ernie to get even. Jesse that turnio brain won't take care of her........"

Bo looked at Luke."Look cousin....your gonna have to talk to her sooner or later, why not come to the Boar's Nest with me, and go talk to her about it?" Luke took a deep breath and sighed, "Yeah, you are right Bo. I got to know." Luke headed to the driver's side of the car. Bo stepped in front of Luke, "Cousin I hate to be the one to tell ya this, but you are in NO shape to drive a bike let alone the General." Luke nodded, "I think you are probably right. What are you goign to do about Daisy's car?" Bo said, "I'll see where Cooter is." Bo got in the General Lee and called on the CB, "This is Lost Sheep 2 calling Crazy C." At the Boar's Nest Daisy heard the call and got Cooter to the radio. Cooter answered, "This is Crazy Cooter coming back at ya Lost Sheep." Daisy was hanging on every word thinking of ways to kill Bo if he'd hurt her car! Bo replied, "Cooter, can you come out to Benson's meadow and pick up Daisy's car and TELL he it's fine. I'm just gonna drive the General." Daisy and Cooter looked at each other. Both had heard 'how' Luke had pulled out and knew something was up if Bo was going to drive the General Lee and leave Daisy's car. Daisy asked, "You aren't going to tell them over the radio are you?" Cooter said, "No, I'll talk to them out there." In to the radio he said, "On my way fellas." Bo looked at Luke, "Well, if Cooter's on his way let's go ahead back to the Boar's Nest and get this over with." Luke replied, "Yeah no use setting here." As the boys luck would be they passed Cooter about halfway to the Boar's Nest. Cooter shook his head and was actually relieved that Daisy would likely be talkign to them and not him. At the Boar's Nest Daisy looked up and was suprised to see Bo and Luke come back in. She would have figured them to have gone on to the jail. As Daisy had a tray of beers she walked over to the boys as she set them down to the customers,"I thought ya'll was at the jail?" Bo and Luke were still trying to spot Dixie and Lori, as well as Amy. Luke looked at Daisy and asked, "I know I'm going to hate myself for this, but why would you think us at the jail?" Bo added, "Yeah, where are the girls?" Daisy sighed,"THATS why I thought ya'lld be at jail...seems Lori and Dixie saw Amy and don't take ya'll much to figure who threw the first punch." Bo looked at Luke and Luke returned the same look to Bo, "Lori..." They said in unison. Luke added, "Rosco was in the back?" He shook his head, "Come on Bo!" Bo was already in motion, "Yes, Sir!"

Dixie said, "If she is that easy, we may have all jumped to the wrong conclusion totally." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Luke's stomach was empty but he continued to heave for a long while. He was starting to worry Bo. As he stood up and bent over the General's hood basically hugging the car. He was hurting from 'dry heaving' and knew it would only be worse later. "Bo. What am I going to do here? Bo tried to be reasonable, "Luke first you need to talk to her. Did she SAY it was yours?" Luke swallowed and tried to stand holding on to the General Lee, "I didn't even ask, Bo."

Frankie had shown up to get Amy but Rosco was pissed and refused to call the judge in at this hour of the night. Frankie looked at Amy and started to ask, "Do you want me.........." Amy nodded, 'no' and said, "No. You just wait til I get outta here in the morning. Don't call no one. Don't tell anyone anything." Frankie held up her hands. She had seen Amy like this a couple times and there would be no talking to her anytime soon. "Ok. Your life." This wouldnt be the first night Frankie had left Amy setting in a jail cell, but the other times had been of that good for nithing Turk! "Yeah it is!" Amy said as she sat on the bunk in the cell upstairs. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Luke was leaning on the hood of the car when Bo had showed up where he had 'tossed his cookies'. Luke looked up at Bo with an unreadable look. "I,................ I,.. ummm,............ don't know, Bo." He was fighting hard not to be sick again. "I,....... didn't wait to, ............... find out." He lost the battle and became ill again. Bo decided that he didn't feel sorry for Luke in the least, but he needed get him 'back together'. "Luke you got to get a gripe and go talk to her. You got to know. The NOT knowing is worse than knowing. Luke come on she's bound to have been with other men just like you have been with other women." Luke looked up, "What if she hasn't been?"

Dixie saw him and went to him. "Luke I'm sorry..........." Luke shook off what he had been feeling at seeing Bo and Lori together and said, "No, Dix I'm sorry. I love you and our child, but sometimes seeing them together, ...................... well, ............ it's a bit strange." Dixie replied, "I know Luke." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bo and Lori resolved their differences and made up. Everything went along pretty smoth for the couples until the race or all races was annouced! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ July 4th, promised to be one of the biggest races in the Tri-Counties and though Boss Hogg had his fingers all ready to dip in the 'cookie' jar he was not the main sponsor of the race. It was a real race with real prize money. The Winner would take home a thousand dollars in cash. Two nights before the race the Boar's Nest was having band and would be announcing the names of the drivers who had signed up that far. It promised to be 'an' evening. That night Cooter had gotten to the Boar's Nest first and got a big table near the back and by nine o'clock Daisy was having a hard time walking through the crowd the place was so crowded. Dixie, Lori, Bo, Jeb, Luke and several others were at the table. By this time the rumors of the Duke boys new families had spread like wild fire and both Dixie and Lori weren't being seen in quite so tight jeans and their tops were a good bit bigger these days. They had tried unsucessfully to get Daisy's attention for more drinks so Luke decided to go to the bar and bring back a round of drinks for everyone. He was waiting for Charlie to get done filling Daisy's tray when he turned, looked around and looked right into Amy Creavy's eyes. Luke being Luke, his eyes didn't stop at her eyes. He went to look her from top to bottom, but never made it that far. His gaze stopped as his eyes viewed her middle. Six months ago Luke may not have thought anything about what she wore but tonight he KNEW she was wearing a maternity top. Luke's eyes suddenly jerked back to Amy's. He saw a look of pain, regret, and a tad bit of fear which was something he never thought he'd see in the firey red head's eyes. Without a single word to anyone, Luke bolted like a scared colt. As Luke passed Amy, she said, "Luke, wait!" She turned to follow him, but the sound of the powerful engine starting told he she didn't stand a chance with Lucifer still on the trailer hooked to her pick up she'd never catch him. She turned and walked back inside but her head wasn't quite as high when walked back inside. Luke took off like he had Satan himself was on his tail. He had no idea where he was going but he was going! The more Luke drove the faster he got! Images of a couple days in March, right at four months ago, were haunting like he'd never been haunted before followed by the images of three women all now several pounds heavier! When the images of what he full expected to ses in another four months hit Luke he was glad he was at a wide field because he hadn't seen where he'd pulled off the road. He had managed to get the General Lee stopped and turned off just before he climbed out the window and got very violently ill! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At the Boar's Nest no one at the table had been paying Luke or the door any attention until they heard the General Lee tear out of the lot. Cooter and Jeb looked up to see three sets of eyes go from the bar, where Luke should have been, to the door, that he had to have gone through to leave only to see Amy Creavy come back through the door dressesd in a maternity top. Three chairs were pushed back and fell backwards crashing to the floor as Bo, Dixie and Lori jumped to their feet. Four sets of eyes locked. Though Dixie and Lori weren't wearing maternity clothes their conditions were undeniable. A 'hush' fell over the entire bar as the four stood there starring at each other a long moment. Jumping to the same conclusion Luke had, Bo was the first to move. On his way out to the door, "Daisy....." She was already was reaching in her shorts pocket for her keys. Bo caught them and took off. Seeing which direction Luke had went hadn't been a problem he'd dug up dirty for seventy feet before he had obvious changed to a higher gear. From the direction he was headed, Bo knew he could be anywhere and from the looks of the road where he'd pulled out, Bo also knew he wasn't in a good state of mind. Bo was now remembering that particular week in March a few months ago also. He had tried to talk to Luke before Amy had came back into town. Luke had been adament that he was with Dixie and planned to stay that way. Bo knew the second Luke and Amy had walked out of the Boar's Nest together that they would end up sleeping together. The fact that Luke had not came home that night had merely confirmed Bo's suspicions. Bo tried to think like Luke: 1. He had been Dixie's first (and only for all Bo knew); 2. He had been with Lori within twenty-four hours of her being with Bo. She was carrying twins and Luke knew he could be the father; and 3. Amy was also pregnant. Bo had to think about the time frame but the night Luke hadn't came home was the VERY night of the day he had been with Lori! Bo concluded that Luke now figured he was possibly expecting four children by three women at the same time. Bo knew THAT conclusion was just likely enough to make Luke, who had been handling the previous situation fairly well, come completely unglued! Bo now knew he had to find Luke, pick up the pieces, help put them back together again and, so help him, when he was done, he planned to knock them back apart again! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Cooter looked at Jeb and mumbled, "Holy sh--!" Dixie, Lori and Amy were still standing there starring at each other in utter disbelief. Dixie and Lori drew the same conculsion Luke had and......................

Jeb gasped for air! "Oh, you can sure say that again!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Just as Lori and Jeb had finished dressing Bo pulled the General Lee in to the yard RIGHT beside Midnight Rider. Lori replied, "OH Sh--!" Bo got out and seen Lori adn Jeb in a bit of disarray! He..................... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Luke and Dixie had been on the couch. When Luke heard the General Lee slide to a stop, He jumped up! Luke took one look and closed his eyes and said, "I hope this farm is ready for World War III!"

Daisy seen how drunk Bo was but hadn't had time to talk to him. When she seen him leave with the girl she had know something wasn't right. As soon as she got the chance she radioed, "Lost Sheep 1 this is Bo Peep, come back." Before Luke could get to the radio, Daisy called again, "This is Bo Peep to anyone home on the Hazzard Net? I'm looking for Lost Sheep 1 anybody that sees him." Luke had been on the porch with Dixie talking when the base station in the kitchen came to life with Daisy's call. He got up and headed toward teh kitchen, his steps got quicker by the second call. Luke didn't like the sound of her vioce as he snatched the CB mic, "This is Lost Sheep 1, Bo Peep. What's wrong?" Daisy sighed, "Luke I just seen Bo leave drunker than a skunk with some drifter...she was blonde and looking for a good time apprently they're at the lake right now from what I heard Bo slur out." Luke swore! "Daisy finding him at that lake is like finding the Sam and Sandy in the swamp! I'm gone!" Luke headed to the pickup. He stopped just long enough to very quietly let Jesse know what was up. When he got to Dixie he tried to act calm, "Ummmm, want take a ride?" Dixie knew something was up but followed him to the pick up. As Luke backed out of the yard, he explained what he knew, "Daisy said Bo just left the Boar's Nest. He's pretty drunk and with a blonde heading for the lake!" Dixie concluded, "And, you are trying to run interferance without Lori knowing." "Exactly!" Luke said, "If I can find him." Most of any spots Bo knew he knew from Luke and a couple from Cooter, but Luke knew he'd kept a few to himself so he figured Bo had also found a few of his own IF he didn't want to be found. Luke really figured NOW should be one of those time he should want to NOT be found cause IF Lori caught him instead of Luke there would be he-- to pay. The fact she was making eyes at Jeb wouldn't mean a thing! to her IF she caught Bo going out on her. Luke knew -- he'd been there too many times!

I loved Jeb!!! I can see why he and the boys were close enough to get caught running shine together. He is as "bad" as they are and a team player! Judd was Ok and a cool long lost brother, but I still wondered about that story IF he really as Luke's brother! As for Coy and Vance-------I know the shows we saw where they were basically 'forced' to walk, talk, and be Bo and Luke. But, the characers themselves had the powers that be let them be their own characters I think we would have liked them much better. Had they visited and joined Bo and Luke in the events it would have went over better but we all knew they were 'replacements' and took an immediate dislike to them. After all these years when I watch some of the shows they were in the writers actually did some good plots but at the time thinking we'd lost Bo and Luke it was really hard to see and watch Coy and Vance act like our guys! But, Vance has got some of the sexiest eyes!!!!

Hey, Cooter don't believe anything Lori, BL or Hilery tells ya about me (and especially don't believe those two state troopers either!) **Ducks** The fact I was 16 and Luke was 20 (and a few months) shouldn't be THAT big a deal! We just had a bit of car trouble with the General Lee -- the windows were too fogged up to drive home....**Looks around innocently** Lori STAY AWAY FROM LUKE! He's MINE! Anyone really want to know her nickname???

Jeb smiled, "Yeah I know since you were a kid you have only talked to Luke, but, .... ah, ........... hey, ............ Looks like he is occupied. I'm NOT?" Lori looked at Jeb and winked,"Yea...Luke kinda pushed me to the side I guess...." She giggled and batted her eyelashes at him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Luke went after Dixie only to find her waiting in the General Lee. She wasn't happy! In fact she was sniffling. Luke plopped into the seat, "Sorry, Dix!" He was silent a long while. "But, until I know for sure, I could be having one or three kids." Dixie looked at him and said, "That isn't the part that bothers me. You went from her to me, to her, and BACK to me!" Luke swore to himself, and said, "Dix, I know and I swear I'd likr to change things but I can't." "I know, Luke and I am tring to be good, but some times, I just can't be." Dixie stated. Luke nodded. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bo followed Cooter to the garage. "Coot how do I compete with that? THOSE babies COULD be just as much mine as Luke's. But no one sees that!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was with her FIRST!" Cooter sighed and looked at Bo,"Bo...don't ask me! I don't know how that stuff works!! No matter what she'll always go for Luke!!" Bo glared, "Thanks Cooter! Thanks a lot pal! Think I'll just go to the Boar's Nest and find me somone else, then!

As the group started out, Doc remembered a couple of things he had forgotten due to the unusal situation and added tension. "Folks, could I see Lori in here for a few minutes." He sighed and added, "And, ah,..... who ever ya want with you!" Luke felt daggers in his back as he turned with Bo to go into the exam room! Inside Doc asked one more sensitive question, "Miss Davenport you said you were with Luke before Bo on March 1. How long exactly was that? I remember that you two were married awhile before that?" Lori thought for a minute. Luke HOPED she knew! Lori waved Doc off. "Doc, I hadn't been with anyone for a about three months. Last I know was Luke on Dec 7th. before March 1. AND Yes, I had regular, "God she hated THIS!!, "Cycles after that." Doc said, "Ok so taking the March first or second date you will be due normally around the first part of Dec. However, with twins, it could be some what earlier." Luke sighed having rememeber the earlier due date of late Nov. His thought were what IF they went into labor at the same time? He remarked, "Oh, that's just great! Thanks Doc!" Lori looked at Luke and smacked him! Hard!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As they all walked outside of Doc's office, Jeb had to ask and being in a public place he felt safe enough, "You ALL really DON'T KNOW! HOW could none of YOU know who the father is??" Dixie, being pregnant, was not in a good mood and she had just bee asked several really 'personal' questions in front of her brother. The fact Luke had run off with Lori was eating at her. "I can tell ya how. It's called Bo and Luke are a couple a freakin' MAN WHORES who only think with what's in their jeans, and Lori, well, everyone knows she's the HAZZARD WHORE! I dunno if there's a man in the county she hasn't screwed around with who's under 35, possibly under 40!" Dixie promptly stomped off! Luke winced at her words and went after her. Bo was left to ........................

At the Doctors office, Doc was entirely too happy for the group of young people. Jeb was just watching pleasantly at his older cousins' discomfort. Doc picked up a file and said, "Dixie we'll see you first and I need Cooter to come back with us to explain a few things to him." Doc looked at Luke who had already stood up, "You can also join us if Dixie wants." Dixie couldn't help but be shaking in her shoes. She hated going to the doctor to begin with but with Cooter along and going for this reason she wasn't happy at all. She looked at Doc firmly and nodded, "Yeah, Doc, Dixie wants Luke to be there." Jeb watched the three go into the exam room. This was getting good from his point of view. Inside Doc looked at the three oung people, "Cooter as Dixie guardian I need you to sign a consent to treat her. I've had it typed up so that it will cover all her visits so that you don't have to come each time, that is unless you want to." Cooter nodded and took the paper, "I'll sign it and I'll come if you need me to." Doc looked at Dixie and asked, "Ok, now I need some information. When was you last cycle?" Dixie turned 5 shades of purple and finally answered, "Doc I don't know." Doc looked at both Luke and Dixie, "When did you start have 'relations'? Luke saw Cooter set up straighter. This was an answer he wanted to hear! Dixie thought it was getting really warm in this room. She looked at Luke for assurance and she answered, "February 23th." Luke had also said, "The last weekend in February." Doc looked at his calender and the 23 rd was the last Sat in Feb. "Ok. That would put you due around the end of November. I'll be giving you a prescription for prenatal vitamins that you need to take once a day." Doc asked also just in case she had been seen by someome else, "Dixie you were not taking an birth control pills were you?" Dixie vioce was barely a whisper as she replied, "No." Doc said, "Good. If you were, you would have needed to stop taking them." Doc said, "We'll give you a few mintues to change into a gown and I'll be back to do a couple tests. Who, if anyone do you want back in here?" Dixie replied, "Luke." The look on Cooter's face was............

Jesse nodded and smiled, and said, "Good. Maybe you can help keep these two out of trouble." Then, Jesse thought about what he had said, "Never that." He knew he now had a third one to try to keep straight! Then he added, "You boys go start the chores since they weren't done this morning. You girls get to help with lunch." Everyone exchanged looks as they headed off to get busy. Out in the barn, Jeb, Cooter, Luke and Bo were all busy when Jeb stopped to get his breath, "Guys Lori said Dixie and Luke was having a baby and that she was pregnant by twins................" He paused, "Who's the father?" Jeb didn't miss the evil look Cooter shot Bo and Luke. Bo and Luke both looked like a deer caught in the head lights. Jeb said with a half way grin, "Did I say something wrong? I mean I didn't think it was that big a deal....." Bo and Luke looked at each other,"ME!" They said in unison. They glared at each other and had a mexican standoff. Jeb felt the tension in the air increase ten fold. Jeb threw his hands up in surrender and said, "Hey, just forget I asked OK? I think I hear Jesse calling!" Jesse hadn't called them for lunch yet, but did so before anyone could reply. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jeb purposely took his time washing up just to see who was setting where at the table. He still had questions about what was going on, but he seen REAL quick that Bo and Luke were NOT the two to ask. Jesse and Daisy was at either end of the table. Luke and Bo were across from each other beside Jesse. Cooter was beside Daisy. Dixie had claimed the seat by Luke and Lori was taking a seat by Bo which left the other seat between Dixie and Daisy for him. As the lunch dishes were being done the phone rang. Daisy answered it, "Duke Farm." She listened to the other party and then said, "Yeah, they are both here. I'll give them the message. Yeah, you are in luck they are all here. By now Sugar." Daisy hung up the phone and said, "Lori, Dixie that was Doc's office. He wants to see you all this afternoon. Dixie he needs Cooter to be there to sign some forms and ah, ............... guys, they said, ya'll can come too if you want."

"Well, if Boss knows that Jeb knows. That is good. He'll figure Jeb to head to the house to tell Jesse which," He looked at Jeb, "You will! Boss will send those two fellas to stop ya. And, ..........." Jeb added, "We get them and make them confess to planting the shine for Boss?" Bo asked, "Well, who confessing to Rosco won't hold water if Boss hired them." Jesse replied, "They won't be confessing to Rosco. Ya'll just make sure this plan works to get them on the farm. I'll handle the rest. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A couple hours later on a hill over looking the Duke farm were the two men hired by Boss Hogg. The smarter of the two hired men glared at the man with the big mouth, "We had five hundred dollars free and clear til you opened your mouth!" "How was I supposed to know that guy in the band was these peoples kin?" He asked. The first guy growled, "All you had to do was keep your mouth shut!" They saw a motorcycle coming up the drive way. They had watched the farm for several hours and it seemed that no one was home. Jeb purposely parked his bike out in the open a good distance from the barn and the house and said into the mic in his helmet, "Ok, Fellas I'm here. No one is around." He put the kick stand down, turned off the bike, got off the bike and slowly began unzipping his jacket, took off his gloves as he heard a car coming. In to the mic in the helmet he said, "I got company." Bosses hired men pulled in fast blocking Jeb from the motorcycle. One got out and said, "Don't think no one's here to tell what you think you know!" Jeb had the mic in the helmet keyed, "What do you think I know?" The dumber of the two said, "That we planted shine in those cars!" Jeb grinned as he looked behind him, "Would it be THOSE two cars?" Both men's eye went wide seeing Midnight and the General Lee heading toward them. They headed toward their car as Midnight and the General Lee cut off their escape route. Both men broke into a run which would be their last mistake of the day as Luke, Bo, Jeb and Cooter downed them. Jesse looked at Andy Roach who had been watching the entire event from another hill top with the CB and recorder on. "Well, Andy?" "Jesse, I knew you Dukes weren't back in business but I got to tell ya I was sure suprised to see that shine and still in those cars. Then, when I got to the shine, I knew beyond a doubt it was your work. Let's go get these guys before your boys hurt them too bad?" Agent Roach said. Jesse laughed as he started the truck. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ With in an hour Agent Roach had gotten his statements from the two who 'claimed' they had no idea who had hired them to plant the shine and still. Rosco was plumb tickled pink when Agent Roach called for him to come escort two prisoners to the jail. Rosco had just known that picking up two prisoners at the Duke farm HAD to be Bo and Luke. Everyone had a good laugh at Rosco's expression, when he saw the two hired men cuffed in Agent Roach's car instead of Bo and Luke Duke. Rosco finally pulled himself together enough to say, "That's fine I'll take these two in but I'm still arresting you four." He looked at Bo, Lori, Dixie and Luke. "For jail escape and I might just take Cooter in too as an accessory! Not to mention breaking those two cars out of the impound yard!" Roach stepped in, "Well, Sheriff since these good people were set up and charged on false charges, you would just have to let them go as soon as you booked these two. So I highly suggest I follow you in with these two to make sure they get charged all nice and legal like and you leave these young men to get busy around here. I understand we're going have three more Dukes running around here soon." Rosco spit and sputtered around. He wasn't happy he couldn't arrest the Dukes. He said, "You still broke the cars out of impound!" Luke and Cooter grinned like Chessy Cats and shook their heads 'no'. Luke added, "Rosco, how do you THINK we put cars you have us tow INTO the impound yard?" Everyone seen that it had never crossed Rosco's small mind that Cooter and Luke had carried a key to the impound lot since they were sixteen and started driving the wreckers! Rosco stomped off toward his patrol car and Agent Roach followed him to town. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jeb looked at the others ans asked, "What was that about three more Dukes running around??"
