Meanwhile in Placid Co, Jeb Stuart Duke and his band were playing a local bar. Jeb had went to the bar for something to drink when he heard tow men talking about the two cars they had planted something in the trunks of. They were amazed at how two cars that rare were so close together and how they would liek to buy them once they were impounded. One man said, if it wasn't for the fact that one was orange with the racing logo and flag on it instead of black like the other one they could be twins. Jeb took his beer and eased to toward the pay phones he dialed the familiar number to get the Hazzard operator. "Duke Farm please." Cooter was just about to leave when the phone rang and Uncle Jesse answered. "Duke Farm." Jeb said, "Uncle Jesse are the boys home?" Jesse replied, "No they ain't Jeb." Jeb recognized the tone of Jesse voice, "Have they looked in the trunk of the General Lee lately?" Jesse held his hand up to stop Cooter from leaving, "No, they haven't but the Sheriff has!" Jeb said, "I got two guys here talking about planting something in twin cars. One black, one orange figured it had to be the General Lee and Midnight." Jesse said, "It was and it was shine." Jeb said, "Well, I got me a feeling they will be telling someone that real soon....talk to ya later." He hung up the phone! Jesse said into the dead line, "Jeb? Jeb!!!" Jesse shook his head and looked to Cooter, "Jeb's got two guys talking about planting something in the trunks of twin cars; one black, one orange. Said, they would be telling that to someone real soon!" Cooter said, "Where is he?" Jesse shook his head, "Don't rightly know. Somewhere in Placid County." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jeb walked back to the bar and set his empty glass down. He was standing beside one of the guys doing the bragging. He said causally, "Say fellas I'm looking for a car. All I got is my bike, But I'm looking for something different." One guy nudged the other and before his friend could stop him he'd already stuck his foot in ten miles deep, "Well, I just saw two REAL different cars being impounded over in Hazzard." Jeb's pulse was getting faster but he reamined as calm as he could on the outside, "Really? Impounded for what?" The guy with the mouth said, "Had a trunk full of shine." Jeb asked, "Wouldn't have been an orange car with a big '01' on the doors would it?" Both men's eyes went a bit wide. One asked, "How'd you know that?" Jeb replied, "Cause that happens to be my cousins' car and I heard ya'll bragging about setting them up." He said quickly as he elbowed one guy in the midsection hard knocking the breath out of him and swinging a hard punch forward into the other guys face!

Boss Hogg walked out of the courthouse and told his drive, "Take the rest of the day off." He placed a twenty in his hand and got into his car and drove off out of town by himself. He drove to a secret location, an old barn on a property he had foreclosed on several years ago. He was careful as he parked to make sure no one followed him or was watching him. When Boss Hogg was satisfied he got out and went inside. In a hidden closet was at leasat fifty cases of shine but it wasn't just ANY shine this was some of Jesse Duke's finest, that Boss had bought and stored years ago when he and Jesse were still partners. He took two cases of pint jars out and covered the closet back up. He placed the now rare shine in the trunk of his car and drove to met his men waiting out on Rt 7. When Boss arived he saw they had a tarp over something in the back of a pick up truck. Boss reminded, "Now you know what I need you two to do. The girls car is up the next drive way. It's a black dodge Charger. I have word no one is there. Put one case in the her trunk and you know what to do with the other case and this little baby." Boss said as he tapped the covered item in the pick up. He took five one hundred dollar bills and showed them to the two men. "Here's the five hundred I promised you. I'll give you fifty percent now and the other fifty after you are done. Just come see me in the back room for it." He promptly tore each bill in half and handed them half of the bills. For a change the men he hired may have had a brain between the two of them. They drove to the next drive way and seen the car in question. They jimmied the trunk and put one case of shine in the black Dodge Charger. Now they headed to the Boar's Nest where the other car they was looking for was parked. It was the brother to the car they had just seen, but this one was orange. They quickly jimmied that trunk also and placed a case of shine in the trunk along with the covered item in their pick up. Then, they went to the back door of the Boar's Nest and reported that they had loaded both cars. Boss Hogg handed them the other half of the hundred dollar bills and a bottle of watered down liquor, "Now, you have your money and something to wash down the road dust on your way out of town. Don't go up front and let everone hear about how you just earned that money. Spend it far away from here." The request was simple enough as neither men had 'lost' anything in Hazzard they had made their money and headed out of the County. Dixie had cleaned the entire garage and had placed all the tools for once on the shadow board where they belonged. It was likely this was the first time they had all been in their proper place since the shadow board had been made. The oil buckets were empty and CLEAN, the floor grease and oil free and she had even cleaned the upstairs apartment that had only been used in recent years as storage and a place for a one night stand or the guys when they were too tired or too drunk to make it home. She was glad she had taken a change of clothes with her as it had taken her awhile longer than she had expected and she really wanted to go check on the guys at Boar's Nest. She showered and changed into a new pair of jeans that had elastic in them instead of her normal tight ones with a zipper, her boots and a blue baby doll top. Dixie pulled up at the Boar's Nest and walked in. She was suprised to see her brother, Luke and Cooter setting at a back table enjoying a beer. From the looks of Bo and Luke they had already drank several. Cooter was driving the wrecher that night and had only drank a couple beers. Luke saw Dixie some in and got up to meet her. As he did the beer that he had drank over the past few hours hit bottom hard and Luke felt a bit light headed as he wrapped his arm around Dixie. "Want something to drink?" Dixie said, "Yeah a 7-up, Spite, Cola, something." Luke nodded and went to the bar, "Daisy, can I had a 7-up or something for Dixie and three more beers for us?" As he waited for the drinks the base station behind the bar came to life........... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lori had finished her ride, put up the horse. She showered, cleaned up and headed out for a bit. Lori hadn't got three miles before Rosco was hanging one to her tail like he was connected there, with blue lights flashing. Lori try as she might ws having a hard time shaking him and that was unusal, in fact Midnight seemed a bit sluggish tonight. There was nothing she could do about that right now, so she did the only thing she could do. She reached for the CB and called, "Breaker Breaker, anyone home on the Hazzardnet? This is Whiskey Bent and I got company!" Luke turned to Bo, "Hey Bo, you may need to answer this." Bo came over and picked up the mic, "This is Lost Sheep Two go ahead." Lori would have preferred Luke, but at the moment she wasn't picky! "Lost Sheep this is Whiskey Bent, Rosco is on my tail and hanging on too good for comfort! Something is not right with Midnight. I'm on Rt 7 heading toward the Boar's Nest." Bo replied, "We're heading to ya!" He looked at Luke. "Come ON!" Luke had the keys to the General Lee. He knew how much Bo had drank and it was more than he had and he knew better than to drive right now. He looked at Dixie, "Come on, you're driving!" He handed her the keys as the three headed to the General Lee. Dixie fired up the General and headed down Rt 7. She saw Lori heading toward her and Rosco hanging in tight on her bumper. Before she react she saw blue lights in the General's rear view mirror. "Luke, we got company and that is NOT Enos!" Luke looked back, even in the dark and in his more than slightly intoxicated state, Luke still knew that patrol car. It was Sheriff Big Ed Little's personal patrol car from Chickasaw County! Luke swore!!! The CB came to life and Big Ed's vioce boomed, "Alright you Dukes and Davenports pull it over right now! We are blocking the road, you are surrounded, AFT is on scene and we have warrants to search BOTH cars!" Big Ed was working dirt cheap for Boss Hogg just to be in on this traffice stop! Dixie looked at Luke and said, "Luke? Any ideas???"

Several minutes later found Luke setting on a bunk drying his face off. Bo was still smiling from what he considered 'good news'. Luke looked at Bo in utter amazement, "Glad you are happy there cousin!" Bo smiled,"Ohh I am!!" "Well, I got to admit I was pretty worried about the prospect of possibly supporting TWO children. I don't want to think about the possibly of THREE." Enos was standing near by and asked in confussion, "Bo? Luke's gonna be a Daddy? Miss Lori your having Luke's babies? I thought you were dating Dixie, Luke?" Lori looked at Enos and shook her head,"Enos...just get up there and read Bugs Bunny honey...I know you try soo hard.." "Now, Miss Lori ya know I can't do that when there's visitors here! Congratulations though to you and Luke!" Enos giggled. He still thought Luke was dating Dixie, but sometime it was har to tell about these boys. Luke wasn't going to be in the spotlight alone, "Well, Enos, you might just need to congratulate Bo and Lori. AND, I am dating Dixie!" Bo blushed. Lori glared at Enos, "No need to congratulate me!" She looked from Bo to Luke and added, "I hate you both! Ya'll do know that right?" She said very quietly. Luke looked at Bo, she had been utterly to calm and that worried Luke. A lot. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When the ten days were up, Luke and Lori were released from jail. Cooter had calmed down and even decided to join the boys for a beer that evening at the Boar's Nest. Dixie was worried that they would get into an fight if the three went out drinking with each other but all she could do was hope that she was wrong. Cooter walked into the Boar's Nest behind Bo and Luke, but was in time to see a sight he never expected to see in his lifetime. The bar was very crowded as it normally was on weekends. Ladies lined the bar looking for someone to share a good time with. Bo and Luke walked to the bar to order a beer and every lady in six feet of them cleared the area! NARRATOR: Good news sure travels fast now don't it?

Luke was looking at Jesse still confused at why he was so mad about him putting his around Lori in his sleep. "Uncle Jesse nothing happened. Enos is ten feet away. Ask him if you don't believe me." "Luke, YOU and BO, had da-- well, decide WHICH Davenport girl ya'll want!" Jesse huffed. "Me and Bo?" Luke asked. Most everyone may think he wa pretty smart but NOT when he's just been woke up after little sleep. He had never gotten used to sleeping in jail. One may think he was used to being there as much trouble as he and Bo got into. Adding to it their usual willingness to jump into situations they may leave them behind bars one may also think that it didn't bother either one of them or Lori for that matter, but the truth was it bothered all of them far more than they would ever admit to anyone but maybe each other. The fact that they were bothered by being locked up usually surfaced more at night and therefore Luke nor Lori had actually been asleep that long. Jesse nodded,"Thats right I walked in the living room this morning and Bo and YOUR girlfriend was arm in arm!" Though Luke figured they had been in about the same situation he and Lori was in and that it was as innocent, the fact bothered him. He hadn't been there. He hoped he was conviencing but was unsure who he tried to convience more, Jesse or himself, "It was likely nothing." Jesse looked at Luke and smiled a fake smile,"Likely nothing...bout as Likely nothing as you and Lori!!!!" Jesse seen the doubt in Luke's expression. Luke knew Jesse could read him like a book, "We have all always been close, Uncle Jesse, ou know that. They were probably just talking like we were until late." Jesse nodded,"Uh huh...whatever you say.." Luke said, "Besides 'anything' else we are friends, nearly family........"Luke got quiet and said much lower, "Well, til Cooter turned on me." Jesse sighed,"He didn't turn on ya Lukas!!! He pressed those charges cause he was drunk he regrets it now!" Luke sighed as he looked at the bars around himself, "Course I guess he had a reason or two to be pissed at me, huh?" Jesse looked at him,"Ya think?" Luke just looked at the floor.

Dixie and Bo hadn't 'talked' like this in years. Daisy was at work, Luke and Lori were in jail and Jesse figured it could do them both some good as he headed to bed. Dixie asked Bo, "Remember the first time we talked like this?" Bo did, "Yeah we ended up sleeping in here. It was teh first time Luke and Lori went to jail." Dixie said, "Yeah and look at us now what two years later and here we are again and there THEY are!" Bo heard the frustration in her voice, "Dixie he's not going anywhere." Dixie had tears in her eyes, "Bo how do you KNOW that?" "Luke has been crazy over you for awhile now. I seen him want you and wouldn't act on it until after your birthday which I guess he figured was your 18th from what he told me. He had said no one would understand or approve and he KNEW better than to even bring it up to anyone, even you, until you was 18. I didn't know how, ..... um, .... close you two were until it ws too late. Course I'm not sure I'd had figured out there was that much age difference either. You act older." Bo explained. "I do not!" Dixie said. "Bo what are you going to do if Lori's baby is YOURS?" Bo sighed,"Well Dixie...I don't know....If it is I'll take care of it whether she wants me to or not...I like her alot Dixie...but she just won't open her eyes and see it.." Dixie put her hand on her tummy, "Bo I want NOTHING in this world more than to be with Luke and have his child ......." She was quiet. Too quiet for a long time before she was able to get past the lump in her throat, "But I'm SO DA-- SCARED I'll loose him to Lori and end up raising this child alone." Bo looked to Dixie,"I honeslty would like to tell you that you won't lose Luke to Lori, but I can't.... But I know that you will NEVER raise the child alone, come he** or high water Luke will help you raise it.." "Bo you see them together! You and Cooter looked for her three days and he found her in WHAT two hours?" Dixie was really frustrated. Bo nodded, "Yea...but Dixie ya gotta think, those two have been through he-- together and, as bad as I have to tell you, they both love each other..." Dixie nodded and said quietly, "I know that Bo. I know that. That is what makes THIS all so da-- hard. That baby she is carrying COULD be his or yours, but he will worry about her until he knows cause of Caitlyn" She saw the look on Bo's face and gave him a weak smile, "Yeah, Bo, I know about them loosing daughter." Bo nodded and smiled. So they did talk and not connect for only sex. Bo sighed and looked at Dixie,"Don't tell Jesse or Cooter...not even they know..." "I know. I also know he was at the grave the day ya'll went after only to find out that I'm caryinghis child and Doc had to tell him it was largely due to Lori being 'too young'." Dixie was quiet for several minutes before adding, "Bo I'm nearly a year younger than Lori was. What do you think that does to Luke?" Bo sighed,"Worries the he** outta him.." Dixie nodded, "Yeahhhhhhhh, I know it does! and I can't make it better!" Bo nodded. Dixie barely whispered barely able to speak around the lump in her throat, "Bo he was my, ....... first......." Bo nodded and put a reassuring arm around her,"I know darlin' I know..." "YOU know how this is going to spread in school! He--, Bo through town! How can I go back to school?" Dixie whimpered. Bo looked at Dixie,"Same way Lori did, you hold your head up high and be proud.." Dixie nodded, "I'd like to do nothing more Bo and I am proud to have his child! But, once the rumors get out YOU know everyone is only going to enforce my doubt about Luke and Lori and on a bad day I don't know if I can handle that!" Bo sighed and shook his head,"I aint gonna fight with you over it..." Dixie said, "Bo I'm not trying to fight here at all. It's just that you are all gone and I'm still in school and you know how they are." Bo sighed,"Ya got Coy there.." Dixie smiled weakly, "Yeah I do don't I? I nearly forgot about him. Bo I want to tell the world I'm Luke's girl and having his child but I can't help worrying about loosing him." Bo sighed,"Dix...just hush about it... and come here, huh?" he added "Your startin to sound like a broken record.." as he wrapped his arm around her as she hugged him so tight Bo thought he'd smother, but it wasn't long until he felt her relax and knew she was asleep........ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jesse Duke the family patriot dressed and headed for the kitchen to start a new day. What he saw stopped him dead in his tracks! There was Bo and Luke's pregnant girlfriend wrapped arm in arm, though fully dressed, setting on his couch in his living room while Luke and Lori (Bo's pregnant girlfriend -- or Jesse hoped her child was Bo's) were together in jail! Jesse ......... Jesse shook his head and sighed,"Dear god Help me.." BO!!!" Bo opened his eyes sleepily and as he stretched he hugged Dixie tighter, which was NOT missed by Jesse, "Yes, Sir?" he answered not realizing it was Dixie asleep on his chest. Jesse grabbed his ear,"BOY!! ILL TAKE YOU TO THE WOODSHED!!!" Bo's eyes flew open at Jesse's words, "What? What did I do? Why?" Jesse asked, "BOY! What in Sam's Hill is going on? I know you and Luke are close but this beats ALL I ever seen!" Dixie stirred at the raised voices. Jesse looked at him,"GET UP AND GET DRESSED GO DO THOSE DERNED CHORES!!" Dixie moved as Bo tried to get up. They both answered, "Yes Sir!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jesse left early to go see Luke and Lori since he had to get supplies. He quietly made his way down the stairs, what he had seen with Bo and Dixie bothered him and he wanted to see just what was up with Luke and Lori. Jesse stopped dead! There were four bunks in two cells and Luke and Lori were sleeping beside each other with ONLY Bars between them! but what bothered him was Luke's arm was between the bars and around Lori!!!! Jesse .........................

Jesse and Cooter returned to the jail and told them they had seen Judge Drutton, who said he'd have to hear the cases and even if Cooter didn't want Luke charged with being with Dixie he'd still have to hear the Escape charges. Jesse watched Luke with Dixie. He could tell that Luke's actions were guarded at best which was likely do to the fact that Cooter had wanted him arrested for being with his sister, but Jesse felt it was more likley because Lori was close by. Jesse could tell something had come between Bo and Lori not that he hadn't thought they were an unlikely match to begin with, but he couldn't help be wonder what would happen if she were pregnant by Bo and not Luke. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Judge Drutton heard the cases the next day. He managed to lecture Luke and Lori long and hard. He told them exactly how much trouble they coud be in and Rosco's mouth was watering as they both plead guilty to the charges. Judge Drutton told them that he had been informed of 'extinuating circumstances' and had decided to sentence accordingly, reminding them that any such 'stunts' in the future would NOT be handled the same way. He also stressed to the two to pass the word to family and friends that this was a one time break to them all. He then sentenced them both to ten days in jail with credit for the time since Rosco had picked them both up at the County line and then he added another year to the probation time they were already serving. Judge Druttone knew what the others did. Luke and Lori had both been in and out of jail before and likely would continue but they could both do the rest of the ten days 'standing on their heads'. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At the jail after court...............

Jesse looked at Cooter, "No, YOU need to go with me. Come on." Jesse was an old fishing buddy of Judge Drutton he HOPED that there was a couple big favors he could call in. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Downstairs Luke looked at Lori who was pacing like a caged tiger. "I knew I shouldn't have let you get me outta here." Lori pointed to him,"You hush! I told ya I did that for ME and well...Dixie too....its my own fault..." "No, now we are both in deep sh--!" Luke said, "And, I'm no closer to Dixie than I was before." Lori looked at him and sighed, "You ain't???" Luke looked at her confused, "No, I ain't unless you see something I don't. I see me locked in a steel cage." Lori shook her head,"Shut up.... And turn around, Luke." Luke looked confused as he did what Lori told him. Coming down the the steps wsa Dixie and Bo. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It took awhile for Jesse and Cooter to explain the situation to Judge Drutton. Jesse also reminded him of a couple events that had between them and there was mention of a bear trap. Cooter wisely didn't ask about the incidents. In the end Judge Drutton explained his situation, "Jesse I'll have to hear the cases, but I have a lot of lee way in the way I can sentence them. Go home and don't worry I'll get it taken care of this week." Outside Cooter asked, "How are we supposed to not worry?" Jesse replied, "He said he'll take care of it and he will." Knowing no more they felt it best to keep quiet about the visit until after the hearing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Back at the jail,

Luke grinned at Lori, he unlike the others caught her message as did Jesse. "Good one! Wonder where you learned that?" He knew she had heard him make such calls when he was running shine. Lori smiled, "Like everything else, you taught me." Rosco had taken his smart pills and doubled back. He had his gun on them and yelled, "Ok, YOU TWO, Freeze it right there!" Lori had jumped in the driver seat as Luke jumped on the back of the wrecker as she pulled out QUICK! By the time Luke managed to get in the front of the wrecker he saw two things: The County line that neither could cross and Sheriff Big Ed Little waiting on the other side! Right as he heard Rosco's transmission.................... ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jesse explained, "They are at Eagle Point and are fine. They want us to meet them there." Jesse turned to Cooter. "You know if you push this with Luke Rosco is also going to lock Lori up?" Cooter nodded and sighed,"I didn't mean to get him in there in the first place!!" Jesse stated, "Well, how are YOU going to convience Rosco of that?" Cooter winced,"Can I ask Luke or Lori that...theys the brains of the operation!" Before Jesse could answer they all heard Rosco's transmission................. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "This is Hazzard Sheriff, ROSCO P. COLTRANE. I have two fugitives heading toward the County Line! Both are on probation. Lukas Duke is an Escaped Felon. Lorane Davenport is wanted in connection with the ESCAPE!" NARRATOR: Don't that fry your taters??

Luke had really began to get a false since of hope in the past couple weeks since Cooter had found out about him and Dixie. He had to wonder 'Why' and 'Why now?' Surely he could see that Luke could be more of a benefit to Dixie and Lori if he were home and working to take care of them, finincially, emotionally and physically. Luke hadn't slept he'd been up all night trying to figure this out. Trouble was he saw no solutions and the only conclusion he was coming up with was he was going to prison. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lori had already had her say where Cooter was concerned, but the usually quiet Dixie hadn't! Cooter looked at Dixie and started to tell her it was time to go home, "Dix..." "NO one calls me that but Luke. Cooter I hate YOU and IF you know what's good for you, you'll leave me be!" Dixie walked back toward Bo and Luke's room. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jesse.........

Jesse Duke was setting in his chair in the living room. Luke and Dixie were setting on the couch talking quietly. Lori was in the kitchen and Bo was pacing a hole in the floor when he heard a car pull in and looked out the window. "Ah, Uncle Jesse that's Rosco!" That one sentence got everyone in the room's attention. Rosco knocked on the door and opened it when no one got up,"Jesse I'm here to arrest Luke! Cooter is pressing charges against him on account of Miss Dixie." He saw Luke get up and sigh, Luke had been expecting this visit since Cooter found out he and Dixie were intimate, but expecting it and it actually happening were two different things. He walked in there to Rosco and held his arms out. Rosco clapped the cuffs on him and smiled leading him out. Lori looked at Dixie and then to the car and smiled... Dixie had known it was possible for Luke to be arrested, but she really didn't believe Cooter would press charges agianst him. She had expected Cooter to handle it between the two of them and not involve the law. She Lori smile and it went all over her. She asked in disbelief, "You really think it's funny?" Lori looked at Dixie and grinned widely,"It ain't funny....but I gots me an idea.." She had that twinkle in her eye that meant they ALL would get in trouble! Jesse sternly advised, "Lori, now you just better not be thinking of causing any trouble. We's got us enough going on here. Now, I'm heading to bed and ya'll need to do the same think. Can't none of us help Luke tonight." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Luke stepped into the cell and the sound of the door locking bothered him a lot more tonight than it had before. Not only was he locked away from his family, Dixie, even Lori, but he was here compliments of his best friend in the world and he was a guilty as sin!

As Luke and Lori stepped through the door Bo jumped up and headed toward Lori. Luke shot him a tread easy look. He knew she was skiddish. He was glad Dixie was setting where she had been by the door in an overstuffed chair. He stood behind the chair and put his hands on her shoulders. He felt her relax at his touch. Jesse looked to Lori who still had her head hung low as she sat at the kitchen table, he looked to Luke and then asked,"I take it you worked things out?" Luke answered the only way he could, "Well, we're both back." Jesse pointed to the living room,"GIT!" Luke came closer into the living room where Jesse was pointing. Jesse yelled,"I aint gettin any younger boy pick up your pace!" Dixie winced at Jesse's tone. Luke replied, "Yes, Sir." and did so! Jesse nodded,"Now....this is a FIIIINE mess you four are in." He pointed a finger to all Dixie, Luke, Bo, and Lori. Luke was a bit relieved to see that it wasn't ALL being layed on his back alone! The room was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop as they waited for Jesse to continue. Cooter had been calm too long. "I for one want to see YOU and BO outside!" Jesse looked at Cooter,"YOU HUSH AND WAIT COOTER!!!!" Luke took a deep breath fully expecting it to be his last and opened his mouth.... Jesse pointed his finger right at Luke, "YOU don't want to say anything to me right now! I'm doing ALL I can do to KEEP this room from stringing YOU up by your TOES!" Jesse got his second wind and continued, "For about two cents I'd march in there and grab my shotgun and we'd go see Parson Brown, but I can't do that because YOU four don't have any idea who the father of at least one of the babies are! Just you wait til this gets around town!" Lori looked down and looked up,"Permission to speak sir?" "Ok, I think I'd like to hear this." Jesse changed his mind. Lori looked in there at Luke and Bo and Dixie with eyes that said,"Help me....." She looked up at him and sighed, "I don't think it should matter if word gets out around town or not....As long as the boys help take care of the kids we should be fine..." Jesse assured Lori and Dixie of that, "Ohhhhhhhh, believe ME, MY boys will do what it takes to make life as easy as possible for YOU BOTH until those babies are born. AND then the work begins for one or BOTH them!" Bo and Luke exchanged looks. Lori sighed, "Now Uncle Jesse sir, I mean you no disrespect...but go easy on em...try putting yourself in their shoes..." Jesse pointed his finger at Lori, "I have been there! I have had my share of being young! BUT I was CAREFUL not to get myself or my girlfiends in such situations. MAINLY, " He glared at Luke, "BECAUSE I had ONE girlfriend at a time!" Cooter asked again, "Now I we go outside, Uncle Mr. Jesse?" Lori looked down,"Yes sir....But still...COOTER WOULD YOU SHUT UP AND STAY OUT OF THIS!!" Cooter replied to Lori, "NO, I won't stay out of this!" Jesse took a deep breath and tried to calm down, "Hold up here a minute. Now, Cooter I take it you are going to let Luke and Dixie see each other? But, as far as I am concerned, nothing will go on under MY roof until, if and when they are married." Cooter was still wanting to hurt Luke and Bo, but he remembered his promise to Dixie about IF she became pregnant by Luke since he was over 4 years older than her. Cooter sighed,"Uncle Mr. Jesse sir, I can't stop him from seeing her, that'd be pure suicide!" Cooter added, "BUT, that don't mean I won't be dealing with the TWO of you!" Jesse looked Cooter in the eye, "There will be NO such thing happening here!" Cooter shot Bo and Luke a warning look that said he was tired of being messed with, then his eyes met Jesse Duke's eyes that held a warning that Cooter knew NOT to buck. He held Jesse's gaze for full minute before backing down and storming out! Jesse looked at the clock it was getting late, yet he knew no one would be sleeping anytime soon. He didn't see sending the girls home alone or to deal with Cooter alone tonight. "Alright, you FOUR! Boys you two are sleeping in here, alone! And, Lori you and Dixie can have their room. AND, none of you want to cross me on this!" Jesse went to the kitchen to pour him some coffee. Meanwhile in the living room, four sets of eyes were searching the others eyes for answers. Luke saw Bo's eyes and saw pure fear and insecurity. He knew Bo likely didn't want that sort of responsibility and also was about like Lori. They had both likely been out for a good time and it just may catch up with both them. But Luke could also see Bo being really defensive and even hostile because it apppeared to him that everone assumed Lori's child was Luke's. Luke looked at Lori and her feelings were a bit harder to read. He saw pure evil, hatred, scared, depression and he knew he was largely the reson for MOST of those feelings. Then, he looked at Dixie who had moved closer to him. They were currently setting together on the couch and Luke had his arm protectively around her. She was sixteen years old and carrying his child. He saw in her eyes a fear but it wasn't so much of the responsibility or impending motherhood, no he knew it was doubt. Luke kicked himself for putting that doubt there when he could also see the love and admiration the girl felt for him. Luke knew he was straddling a fence. He wasn't sure how he could assure both girls that everything would be ok, without causing the other to doubt his feelings. He knew he loved them both and also the children they carried, whether it was because one was his cousins or his. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Cooter had headed straight to the Boar's Nest. When he walked in and ordered shine, Daisy knew something was wrong. She gave him a bit of time and space before she finally asked, "Cooter, Honey, what's eating at you?" He had already downed three drinks of shine. Cooter looked at Daisy,"Your danged cousins and my baby sister AND my couisn..." Daisy was afraid to ask. She knew the four were dating and had to admit it was a bit strange seeing them 'dating' after growing up with them as close as they all had been. Yet, for Cooter to be THIS upset something was up, she waited to see if he'd go on. Cooter threw back another round of shine, "MY two are pregnant..." Daisy's eyes went wide in suprise and she exclaimed, "Oh my gosh! Bo AND Luke are gonna be fathers?" Cooter sighed,"Well Lukas is....maybe to both of the youngins...Lori aint sure WHO'S the daddy.." "WHAT?" Daisy set down on the stool beside Cooter. The customers could wait! Cooter nodded,"Yep.....Bo is ticked at him, cause you know as well as I do Daisy, Luke is the ONLY one of any of us that can get Lori to listen and cooperate. And that digs in Dixie's and Bo's skin to..." Cooter added, "He's already had to go after her twice today. Once when Bo or I couldn't find her and once when she took off on Traveler. He was gone longer than it took to get her to come back and EVERYONE knows that." Daisy said, "Oh, my Lord! And I have to live with those two!" Meaning Bo and Luke. "Can't they tell with blood tests or something now who the father is?" Cooter shook his head,"Nope...gotta wait til the youngin is born..." Daisy shook her head, "Coot, that farm ain't gonna hold those two." Cooter thought, the wheels were turning in his small brain. He'd get Rosco to take Luke. He wasn't thinking right, he was a bit tipsy. He nodded to Daisy and agreed. He downed another round of shine and finally said with a bit of a slur, "I gotta go." Daisy shook her head as she saw him weave just a bit on his way to the door. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Cooter was almost to his truck when Rosco pulled in. He walked toward Rosco who saw him stagger a bit. Cooter looked at Rosco, "You are always so eager to arrest a Duke. You want your chance?" Rosco looked at Cooter, "Your drunk?" Cooter replied, "I'm alot more sober that Hobbie is on a bad day. You want Luke Duke in prison or me for being drunk?" Rosco smiled,"Jit jit!! Im always happy to get a Duke!!" Cooter was slurring just a bit more as the shine was hitting him. He wasn't thinking of the consequences of his statements to Rosco, "Luke Duke's over four years older than my sister who is sixteen. Doc just confirmed she's pregnant. Luke's taking responsibility." Rosco smiled,"Khee Khee!!! im gone!!! thats a naughty naughty....see thats illegal and...khee khee I just love it! Rosco took out the door to go and get Luke Duke!

Dixie was wondering why all the questions from Jesse as they heard the General Lee pull up. Luke had let Traveler go and was at Lori's side before she could move. Luke swept her up in his arms and carried her past Cooter, Jesse and Dixie right to his and Bo's bedroom. He had grabbed the phone on his way by. The fact that he tucked Lori in his bed wasn't missed by anyone as called Maybelle and quietly asked to be put through to Doc. He was setting on the edge of the by Lori when Jesse walked in,"Luke?? What's wrong?? Is she alright???" Cooter soon followed."Lukas...." Luke held up his hand to quiet them, and said, "She's fine. I think." As he stood up and got to the door, he added, "Doc's on his way to be sure." Luke hoped Lori was asleep or didn't hear that part. It appeared that the stress of the past few days had caught up to her and she had fallen asleep as soon as she hit Luke's pillow. Jesse looked at him and nodded as he shut the door,"Luke...tell me she ain't..." Cooter was right beside Jesse, "Ain't what?" Luke looked at Jesse and barely managed to say, "I wish I could tell you she ain't, but....." Jesse held his hand up and pointed to the kitchen. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~` Dixie and Bo were in the living room. Bo was past angry! Dixie wanted to know what was going on. "Bo what is going on?" She figured he should know since he'd been with Luke and Lori. At this point she wasn't even sure she had a boyfriend. Bo cussed, "How the he** should I know your boyfriend stole my girlfriend.." He saw Luke come through and stood up, tenser than an attack dog and madder than a wet hen. Dixie managed to get out, "Because YOU were with them!" before Luke came into the living room. She was standing between Bo and Luke and the tension between them was like nothing Dixie had felt before. Jesse saw the hurt on Dixie's face along with the sheer anger on Bo's face. "Kitchen, now all of you." He said in a tone they all knew not to question. Jesse began by looking from Cooter to Bo, "Luke did what was asked of him. You both wanted Lori found, he did that. Now...." Luke interupted, "Now, Luke would like to have a private talk with Dixie." Dixie hadn't heard that tone from Luke ever and she was sure she didn't like it. She was sure he only wanted her alone to tell her he was back together with Lori. Luke turned to the back door and opened it for Dixie, who was not at all sure she was ready for this conversation. Luke sighed as he looked at Dixie,"First off I want to say I like you ALOT....you're fun to be with and I love ya to death...but...." Dixie concluded what she expected him to say, "But, I'm not Lori and you love her more?" Luke shook his head 'no', "No, that wasn't anywhere near what I was going to say. For right now I want to talk about us, then I'll get to what happened with Lori." He paused and then continued, "I love ya to death, ..... but, ..... I need to know something and I need to know the truth about it now........" Dixie was baffled at why Luke thought she wouldn't tell him the truth about anything. "Sure, Luke, I've never lied to you." Luke nodded and tried to get up his nerve to ask this question. He looked her in the eyes searching for the truth in case her words said otherwise. After a deep breath he asked straight to the point, "Are you pregnant?" Suprise was what he saw on her face, "What?" Dixie asked, "Why would you think that?" Luke sighed and looked at her,"Dix....you've been sick and NOT runnin a fever and when I touched you three days ago you said ow and I barely touched you..." Dixie said, "I had the flu. Everyone did, as for being sore I don't know why I am, but I can hardly dry my chest." Luke really hated himself right now but needed to know. "When is the last time you ah had something?" Dixie got his meaning. She thought about it. Truth was she had never kept up with it, but the more she thought the more she had to think about it! Her eyes grew big and she realized she couldn't remember, but it had been FAR too long, "Oh No!" Luke asked, "The night at the lake. Has it been since then?" Dixie barely whispered, "No." Luke heard a car. It was Doc. Luke waited until Doc got almost to him and said, "Doc, I called you to check on Lori, but I think Dixie is going to be your first patient. Right Honey?" Dixie nodded, 'yes' with tears in her eyes. Doc said, "Well, I wasn't expecting a two for one special but what can I do for you?" Luke rubbed her shoulders and kissed her lightly. "Thanks doc.." Luke added,"I need you to see if shes pregnant.." Doc knew Luke Duke well and could see the tension in him, "Normally, I'd say we could do that in the office tomorrow, but I got the feeling you'd liek to know tonight?" Dixie barely whispered, "Yeah, Doc, I think we need to know tonight." Doc knew about Lori's previous loose of a child with Luke and based on Luke's expression he was nearly certain Luke was the man in question here, but years of being a country doctor had told him never assume anything. He looked from Dixie to Luke and asked, "You?" Luke replied still rubbing Dixie's shoulders tenderly, "Yes, Sir." Doc looked toward the house. "Do the others know about this?" Luke shook his head no. Doc looked at Dixie, "How old are you now Dixie?" Dixie bit her lip before answering, "Sixteen." Doc looked at Luke, "I can't do it tonight. I'll have to have Cooter's permission unless you two are married?" Doc was nearly certain tehy were not. Luke swore to himself and said, "He's here. Give me a minute to talk to him." God how Luke hated what he was about to do, but there was no way around it. He opened the kitchen door and said, "Cooter can I talk to you out here a minute?" Cooter came outside. Luke walked out away from Doc and Dixie. They were in the middle of the yard when Luke stopped, "Cooter we've been friends a long time and there is no easy way to say what I need to talk to you about, ....... Doc needs your permission to run a pregnancy test on Dixie........." Cooter looked at Luke and turned red, then he looked at Dixie and the Doc. Cooter looked at Luke and wanted to kill him, he growled,"Do it...... I said let him do it...and I mean it....." Doc knew this situation wasn't good. The four walked into the kitchen. Jesse took one looke at Doc, Dixie, Luke and Cooter and.........

Bo and Luke pulled out in the General Lee. Dixie watched them both go. She had to admit it peeved her that everyone 'knew' her boyfriend could fine her cousin when even Cooter and her own boyfriend couldn't! It also bothered a certain blonde Duke boy too that everyone was so confident that Luke could find Lori when he himself had looked for her for three days! Luke gave Bo directions to the Davenport family graveyard without tellinghim where they were going until they got there. Once they did, Luke was out of hte car and headed to Lori's mother's grave. He said, "She's been here." Bo was hot! "Let me guess, cousin it's telepathy from beyond the grave telling you that!" Luke was solumn as he said, "No, more along the tracks here. Small female foot prints and Travelers prints there." Luke followed the tracks and saw heading off away from the graveyard. "She's headed that way. Grab the General and circle around to this side. There is something I need to do." Bo wasn't happy, but did as Luke asked. He pulled around to where the tracks headed off and waited. For a minute he was very suprised to see Luke kneel at a tombstone. Even from this distance he could tell Luke was crying. Bo realized and did not have to see the name on the marker to know it was Luke and Lori's daughter's grave. Bo's blood ran cold as ice as a chill ran down his back. Luke finally stood, gathered his emotions and got in the General Lee, "That way." was all he said.

Jesse had brought Dixie some homemade chicken soup and though she was feeling better with an empty stomach had ate some to make Jesse feel good. It had been really good going down, but the longer it set on Dixie's empty stomach the more her tummy flipped and FLOPPED! Being that Luke was the closest to her he said, "Ya know Dix, when I get the flu I chill and run a fever. You are doing neither." Luke's comments caused Jesse to start paying attention, but the only thing he could see was someone with flu sypmtoms, until Luke layed his arm over Dixie's shoulder hitting her more than tender breast. Dixie not only said, "Owe!" But jumped away from Luke. "That hurt!" Luke knew he hadn't touched her with any force that should have hurt her. "I'm sorry Dix." He said. No one but Jesse paid them any mind. Dixie tried to cover because she had NO idea why she was so sore, "It's Ok Luke." It was getting late and the Dukes headed home. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dixie was better the next morning and headed off to school as normal figuring it must have been a 24 virus, while Lori.......

Dixie was trying to fix her hair and about all that was going to happen was it would be in a ponytail! "Luke?" "Yeah. How are you feeling?" Luke asked as he headed to the kitchen to make sure Jesse didn't start dinner. "Better now. I was bad at school today. Ended up coming home second period." Dixie said. Luke replied, "That's good that you are feeling better. Hear that everyone is coming down with a 24 hr bug. What is with Cooter wanting us, mainly ME, over for dinner?" Dixie replied honestly, "I'm not sure I only caught parts of the conversation, but I'm glad you're coming over. Just don't expect too much I'm not a hundred percent here. Luke replied, "I understand completely, don't worry about it. I'll even see if Jesse has soemthng to make you feel better." "I'm good now, but I don't have anything on my stomach and I'm sorta afraid to eat anything." Dixie said. Luke replied, "Well you got to eat something to feel better. I'll see what Uncle Jesse can come up with and we'll see ya in a bit." Dixie replied, "Ok." She finished putting her hair in a ponytail and found a comfy jogging outfit. She noticed again as she put on her bra that she was really sore. Dixie didn't even attempt make up as she heard Daisy's car pull in.

Dixie had done exactly what she said she was going to do. She found her PJ's and headed to bed! No one even heard her move until afternoon when she slowly got up and headed to the bathroom hoping not to get sick again. She hoped a shower would help. The warm water felt really good and she stood there for a long time just soaking before she got down to the business of actually bathing. Dixie noticed something really strange as she washed. Her breasts were really sinsative. No that wasn't the right word the down right hurt! Even normal washing and drying hurt her. She hadn't remembered hurting herself and it had been far too long since Luke had gotten to get anywhere close to them. Dixie had no idea why she would be hurting there. Dixie was thankful that she no longer felt sick to her stomach as she made her way down the stairs just as Cooter came home. Cooter looked at Lori, "Well?" He was wondering if Dixie was sick or had wanted out of school. Lori looked up from laying across Bo all day,"What?" Cooter rolled his eyes, "Is she sick? Does she need to see Doc? I came home early in case." Lori rolled her eyes,"Don't roll yer eyes at me boy....princess is sick, shes got the flu give her some of grandma Davenports remedies and she'll be as healthy as a baby colt." Cooter nodded, "Thanks for keeping an eye on her, Lori. I'll go up and check on her." Dixie said from the stairs, "No need. SHE'S here! Ya'll are talking about me like I'm dead!" "Sorry." Cooter said, "Are you Ok? Do you want to go see Doc?" "I'm a bit better for now, let's just wait. Half the class went home before I ever called you today." Dixie said. Lori smirked at Dixie, "Hey cousin I got something for ya,...." Dixie looked at Cooter, "I'm really better now. I don't need any medicine." Cooter looked at Dixie,"Ya sure?? cause Lori is gonna get Uncle Jesse and Daisy and lover boy over for supper and I dont think Luke'll like ya too much if ya look like that..." Lori rolled off the couch laughing, the thought of her calling the Dukes for dinner just hit her,"I am??" Cooter smiled,"AND your cooking...."Lori cussed! Dixie could have choked her family right about now. "Oh you pick a time when I'm dying here to entertain! I really appreciate that! It's bad enough Bo's here. But I'll just get some Sprite and hopefully I'll feel better by the time they get here." Dixie shook her head. She didn't feel like fixing her hair or getting dress but she knew she at least had to put on a bra and TRY to look half way presentable!

Several weeks later Dixie walked into school. She felt like she was coming down with the flu. It was making it's rounds around school. By the end of her second class she was in the office with several other students calling for a ride home. Cooter still held her keys and she had been riding the bus since her and Luke had gotten caught together. As Dixie reached for the phone she decided that Cooter was closer and the sooner she got into her comfy pajamas and back in bed the sooner she'd feel a lot better. Cooter answered, "Hazzard Garage." Dixie was trying hardnot to get sick again, "Cooter please come get me at school. The whole place has the flu. I'm sick." Cooter heard in her voice she was sick. In fact she sounded deathly ill! "I'm on my way."

They all walked in and Luke unthinking ordered four beers. No one questioned it. Dixie had been drinking at the Boar's Nest for a couple years now. It started out by them ordering her a pop and she snitched drinks from their beer but even Cooter had ordered her beer here. Luke said as he finished his beer, "Dix when you get ready, we can head back to the farm for supper. I'd like to grab a shower and Jesse should have dinner ready by then." Dixie finished her beer and they left. Luke took a long detour home finding a parking space by the lake. "I understand you was worried about me being with Lori last night? I was still awake when you drove by the house and didn't stop." Dixie didn't blush easy but did so now, "It's just that I get a bit worried sometimes." Luke took her in his arms, "No need to worry." Dixie nearly choked, "Luke it's just after the other day, I'm afraid if I don't make you happy you'll go back to Lori!" "You make me happy." Luke kissed Dixie passionately. Luke KNEW he shouldn't be doing what he was about to do, but right now he wasn't thinking real straight. He told himself he was only going to mess around and not go all the way. He told himself that right up until he moved to the backseat of the General Lee. Once he was there and Dixie was beside him he knew he couldn't stop and he didn't want to. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lori and Bo was headed on their way to the lake as well. Lori sighed as she straightened some curves, Bo was grinning like a possum. Lori shook her head and looked out the window seeing an Orange charger at the lake! She smiled wide as she pulled down in there. She and Bo were close enough to KNOW exactly what was going on in the General Lee! She spun around honking her horn yelling,"Ya'll dead meat now!!!!" She spun dirt in the window and pulled out to go to Uncle Jesse's. Bo gave Lori a strange look and said, "I thought you wanted them together?" Lori smiled to Bo and looked behind her to see if they were following,"Ohh I do...but that doesn't mean I cant give them grief...and this is pay back from what Dixie said bout not trusting me and all..." ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Luke had just achieved relief as he heard Midnight. Both he and Dixie swore and Lori burnt back out. They knew with where they had parked and the view Lori and Bo had there was NO question about what they were doing. Luke quickly put on just his pants as Dixie began dressing quickly. Luke fired up the General Lee and headed after Lori and Bo! Lori smirked and saw them in behind her. She changed gears and smiled to Bo,"Hang on Bo..." She giggled and pulled Midnight around spinning out, she took off passing Luke and Dixie now she was just having fun! she was going to tell on them because she could! Luke swore loudly when he saw Lori turn toward the farm. He had HOPED she was heading for Cooter. He figured he could maybe live if she only told Cooter, but she was heading toward the Duke farm wide open. "She's heading to Jesse!" Dixie swore her own self! Luke picked up the mic, "Whiskey Bent, Come back this is Lost Sheep 1!" Lori laughed and picked the mic up,"This heres Whiskey Bent and hell bound!!!" She sped up faster fishtaling it around some curves. "Pull over huh?" Luke said, he was hyper. Lori shook her head,"Hmmmm lemme think about it..." She made a small jump over a dirt mound,"Hmmm still thinking..." She sped closer seeing a straight stretch she turned her wide open,"No!!" "Da-- it, Lori pull over!" Luke geared back into passing gear, hoping to gain on her. Lori did as she did in the race, she swirved and watched closely ahead and behind her she spun the car around and went behind Luke passing him. She smiled and stopped. When she saw Luke stop and turn back, she sped up more and headed wide open once more towards the farm. "I said No!" Luke knew he was sunk! as he swore again, they skidded to a hault in front of the house. Luke was out of the car and heading toward Lori. Bo jumped in front of him! Dixie saw Cooter's tow truck as she got out trying her best to straighten her clothes and hair. Luke was only in his jeans and tried to push past Bo to get to Lori. It was then that Jesse and Cooter stepped on to the porch. Lori smiled and ran towards them,"UNCLE JESSE COOTER!!!! YOU'LL NEVER GUESS WHAT I JUST SAW!!!" Lori sounded almost like Rosco reporting to Boss he was in hot pursuit! Bo had push Luke back to keep him away from Lori. Luke had pushed Bo back in frustration. Luke caught himself and turned back to Dixie. He mumbled to himself and asked Dixie, "Can you get my shirt and boots, please?" Dixie nodded. Jesse looked to Luke and then to Dixie, Cooter looked to Jesse and then to Luke. Fire in his eyes. Lori smiled and walked out grinning like a possum taking Bo's hand. She looked to Jesse and Cooter,"I caught those two at the lake...ohh and it aint the first time either....I was at Indian Caves and yea caught em then too I WARNED LUKE, DIXIE WAS UNDERAGE BUT HE WENT RIGHT ON!!!" Luke stood there in only his jeans as Dixie was reaching into the back seat of the General Lee for Luke's shirt and boots. Right now, he would have loved to have gotten his hands around Lori's throat as he saw the look on Jesse and Cooter's face. Lori smiled widely to Luke and climbed in Midnight backing out around the General,"Ya'll take care now..." she added, "Bo you care to join me?" Bo figured anywhere was better than right here right now. "Sure." Meanwhile Cooter was off the porch and had Luke on the ground. Lori stopped, something made her stop. She don't know why either..."Bo...I can't go..." Cooter had Luke down on the ground his hands around his neck,"I'M GONNA KILL YOU!!!!" Luke had expected Cooter to fight him but not tackle him like he did! Luke was doing his best to get out from under Cooter. Jesse yelled, "BOYS! Stop it NOW!!!!" Cooter got up but not before landing one on Luke's nose. He was breathing heavily and looked at Dixie. He WANTED to kill her god knows he did...he shook his head and got in the tow truck almost hitting Lori in the process. Lori jumped on top of Midnight and looked at Cooter,"DA**!!!!" Luke got up and dusted himself off. He wiped his nose as Dixie handed him his shirt and boots. Dixie asked, "You OK?" Luke replied, "Yeah, I'm fine." He tucked his shirt into his jeans. Jesse pointed to Luke,"GIT.....IN...THAT.....HOUSE...NOW!!!!!" He pointed to Dixie,"YOU go home!!!! AND I MEAN HOME!!!!! LORI WILL TAKE YOU AND I DONT WANT TO HEAR NO BACK SASS OR OBJECTIONS JUST GIT!!!!!" Luke watched as Dixie headed toward Midnight with her head hung low. Luke walked into the house with Jesse behind him. Jesse said, "I want YOU to set right there at the table like you used to when you was two! You can set right there where I can see you until the Sheriff shows up and takes you to jail!" Luke sat down in the hard wooden chair. He could only hope Jesse was wrong about where Cooter had went. Jesse stated, "Luke IF Cooter presses charges against you. There is NOTHING I can do son." Luke nodded, "I know. Jesse I thought when we first started seeing each other that Dixie was 18......" Jesse interupted, "But you found out different. When? Exactly!" Luke thought before answering, "The night Dixie and Daisy bonded me out of jail. Lori caught us at the caves." "The way you were dressed when you showed up and Dixie's appearance, I have no choice but to believe you two were intimate tonight. Am I wrong?" Luke swallowed hard and answered honestly, "No, Sir. You are not wrong." Jesse mumbled unspecific profanities. He reached for the calendar and circled the days date. "I suggest you take this and mark it with WHO and WHEN you have been with! I don't want to know. When you are done you put it up and keep it up to date. It could help you or hang you! Luke took the calendar and marked with a 'D' tonight, the night she bonded him out of jail and once before Lori was released from jail. Then, he marked with a 'L' the night after Lori was released that they had gotten together and finally with a 'A' the night he and Amy had gotten reaquainted. Luke heard a car, a Chrysler and froze until it passed the turn off for the farm. He let out a deep breath. He fully was expecting Rosco to show up and arrest him. Seeing the uncertaintity and the worry on Luke's face with each approaching car was far worse than any punishment Jesse could give him. In fact Jesse was enjoying it! ~~~~~~~~~~~ Dixie was taken home by Lori and Bo. Lori told her that if she even thought of leaving the hosue she would call Jesse, Cooter and Rosco! Dixie figured she had pushed her luck enough and wisely went to her room where she stayed. The passing days and weeks were tense between the Dukes and the Davenports. They all walked on 'eggshells' around each other. Luke kept his distance from Lori and Cooter while Cooter tried to keep Dixie a distance from Luke. Jesse had tried to keep Luke at the farm as long and as often as he could but Luke was a grown man and Jesse knew he'd have to take responsiblity for his own actions sooner or later. Trying to treat him like he was five was only going to last for so long. The more time that passed the closer things returned to normal if there was such a thing in Hazzard. Bo and Lori continued to date. Much to everyone displeasure Luke and Dixie dated but was limited to public places or group events which to a point made Cooter feel better though he was still mad enough to chew nails!

Luke laughed to himself at something Lori often told about him. She swore the only time he had physically hurt her was when he was showing her a defensive move and he brought her hand down a wall where a nail was. Luke hadn't seen the nail and Lori's hand snagged the nail causing a pretty ugly cut. No, Luke may not have physically hurt her but he was sure the emotional scares ran deep for them both. Then, he thought about Dixie. HOW had he thought she was 18 when in fact she was only 16? He knew Lori had been right they HAD to stop being intimate, but Luke wasn't at all sure he could do that. Luke remembered when he was 16 and the 16 years olds he had been with. Dixie sure didn't act 16! Even that first night. He knew she had given him 'herself' and he knew he was her first. It was those thoughts that made him realize he had to tell Amy that he had a girlfriend and that it was Dixie. He was sure glad the race was tomorrow. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dixie couldn't help but wonder where Lori had went without Bo. The longer she wondered the more her mind played tricks on her, to the point that Dixie snuck out of the house and left to go see if she saw Lori anywhere and Midnight had better NOT be at the Dukes! Cooter sat straight up in bed as he heard Dixie's car leave the drive way. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Luke was awake when he heard Dixie's car drive by on the main road. She had slowed but didn't stop.

Luke in the meantime went inside. The man setting in the chair in the living room appeared to be his dear Uncle Jesse until he turned on Luke. "Well, I HEAR you've had a rather eventful night!" It had always amazed Luke how this man knew what him and Bo did without leaving the house. Luke nodded 'yes' though he was uncertain exactly what parts of the evening Jesse knew about. "You could say that." Jesse grumbled, "Suppose you tell me how you got out of jail?" Luke was a bit relieved. That was a relatively safe subject, "Dixie gave Daisy the money. Daisy came got me." "Didn't call me for a change. Didn't feel you needed me or hoped that I wouldn't find out?" Jesse asked. Luke replied honestly, "Well, to be honest, I didn't have a chance. Rosco was a little busy getting us all in there and then Frankie showed up to get Amy. He had just got done with that when Cooter showed up to get Lori and Dixie. By the time I was about to ask him to use the phone Daisy and Dixie were there." Jesse stated, "Let me get this straight, Rosco took Amy, Lori, Dixie and YOU to jail?" Either Jesse hadn't heard the entire story or he wanted to hear it from Luke. Luke nodded, 'yes'. Jesse nodded,"WHY exactly?" Luke began, "Well, I was at the Boar's Nest with Amy and all living he-- broke loose when Lori, Dixie and Bo showed up." Luke quickly added, "I was trying to break them up." Jesse sighed, "Luke I told you...NEVER lead on a woman and you lead on TWO!!!! Now when one of them Davenports knocks you out I pray that they'll knock some sense into that thick head of yers!" Jesse added,"And you NEVER step into a fight...specially tween woman that'll do more damage to you than they will to the ones their fightin cause they're too danged ticked at ya!" Luke replied, "Yeah, I think I likely got a couple bruised ribs out of the deal." Jesse nodded and said matter of factly, "YOU deserved it!" "I figured I deserved the hit I took to keep Dixie from getting hit." Luke added, "Trouble with those three is they don't fight like women! They fight like men and Lori is more slippery than a greased pig. I had her in a bear hug and she got out of it!" Jesse had to laugh,"Yep....you know you taught her that when she was little?" Luke sighed, "Yeah, I did, didn't I? Sh--!" He could only hope that Jesse hadn't heard anyhing else that went on. Only Lori, Dixie and him knew about that, he hoped. Jesse warned Luke, "Son, be careful or you're going to be a very lonely old man." He turned toward his room and headed to bed. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dixie looked at Cooter like he'd lost his mind, "Cooter what is your problem?" Cooter pointed to Lori,"It's her and you!!! what is wrong with ya'll???????" Cooter added,"AND my tab at the Boar's Nest is cut OFF!!!!!" Dixie was still confussed, "What? We have been getting along better since she was put on probation than we have in years!" Cooter nodded,"IT AINT THAT DIXIE!!!! YOU TWO GOT CRIMINAL MINDS NOW SINCE YA'LL GOT TOGETHER!!!!" "We do NOT! and I haven't charged a da-- thing to your tab!" Dixie replied. Cooter threw his hat on the ground,"DIXIE!!!! you two get thrown in jail and LAUGH ABOUT IT!!!! YOU might not have charged nothing on it BUT thanks to you throwing that derned mug at Lori, Rosco cut my tab!!" Dixie said, "He can't cut YOUR tab cause your sister threw a mug that wasn't even hers!" Cooter,"Ewwww!!! he did!!!" "Well I just have to have a talk with him! HE-- ask Daisy, I wasn't there THAT long!" Dixie said and added, "AND I wasn't put in jail, exactly!" Cooter threw his hands up in the air and his fuse was shortenin by the the minute, "Just tell me....you and Lukas didn't do anything????? And if ya don't tell me...I'll get Lori to!!" Dixie wanted clarification, "Do what? And when are you talking about?" Cooter repeated her some,"Do what?? DO WHAT?!!!! WHAT DO YOU THINK??!!!!! I'm talking bout since you been with him!!!!" Dixie paled. "Oh. Ummmm, How do you figure Lori knows what I do any way?" Cooter looked at Dixie,"Cause....Lori's got connections..." "Connections? IF you say so! Cooter I think I'll head to bed now." Dixie tried, she knew Cooter was pissed. Cooter stopped her,"Dix...you aint tellin me something...fine then LORI!!!" Dixie could only hope that Lori kept her mouth shut for once. She looked up as not only Lori but also Bo came in the house. Lori said, "Yeah, Cooter? What's got your gridle in a kink?" Cooter shook his head,"Lori has Dixie and Luke been doing anything????" Lori looked at Dixie for a split second and looked Cooter dead in the eyes,"No." Cooter looked at Lori and THOUGHT that she was lying,"You sure..." Lori looked to Dixie and winked,"Yea Cooter...me and Luke's the two been together..." Cooter nodded and sighed,"Ok..I was worried a bit.." Bo turned and stormed out of the house! Lori glared at Dixie and turned following Bo out of he house. Dixie swore, "Ya see the trouble you just caused there Cooter?" Cooter sighed and plopped down on the couch, "I wouldn't have had to have hollered at her if you woulda told me yourself!" "Night Cooter." Dixie tried to get away from him again, but as she passed him, Luke's aftershave hit him square in the face. Cooter got up,"DIXIE!!!! YOU LIED TO ME!!!" Dixie had NO clue why Cooter's attitude changed so quickly. She gave him a deer in the headlight look as she held her breath. Cooter looked at her,"You were with Luke!!! Lori lied to me too!!" Dixie's eyes were still wide as she tried to figure out Cooter's sudden change, "Well, we did make up, but, ... ah, ...." Cooter looked at her,"I'll report him to the law!!" Dixie shook her head, 'no', "Cooter it wasn't like THAT!" Cooter looked at Dixie,"Then how was it????" he added,"Lori says she was WITH him....were you?" Dixie said, "I don't know what Lori and Luke did! I only know I got Daisy and we bonded him out of jail. We went and TALKED." Cooter nodded,"Uh huh "TALKED" ......you are underage Dixie!!!" "Underage! Oh, for Christ's sake! YOU knew I was dating LUKE! I have been for about a MONTH now!" Dixie said and quickly added, "BUT, that doesn't mean we DID anything!" Cooter looked at her, "Prove it then......" Dixie was a bit scared to ask the next question, "Prove it HOW? And all you said to me about Luke and me dating was he was 'bad company'!" Cooter smirked,"He IS bad company....alls I'm sayin is you get pregnant...I'll press charges on him..." Dixie rolled her eyes and glared at Cooter, "I am NOT pregnant! Good night, Cooter." At least Dixie da-- well hoped she wasn't, she and Luke had been careful. Cooter sighed and scoffed her off, "Forget I even try to talk to you!" "Forgotten!" Dixie said as she closed her bedroom door. She took a deep breath and let it out. Then, she looked out the window and saw things weren't good with Lori and Bo. She opened her window and climbed out. Going to them she said, "Bo, Lori was covering for me." Lori crossed her arms and set on the hood of Midnight. Bo snorted,"Oh sure she was I know hers and Luke's history...She did it with him the night AFTER she did it with me!" "Bo, Luke and I were somewhere tonight I shouldn't have been. Lori was covering for me. I promise you that. We went and made up after Daisy and I got him out of jail. Cooter insists we did MORE." Dixie replied. Lori looked at her and opened her mouth,"Cause you di...didn't...." Lori looked down and cussed. Bo looked at Lori and sighed,"So you and Luke didn't?" Lori looked at Bo and rolled across the hood,"NO!! whaya think I've been tryin to tell ya!!" Bo looked at Dixie and said, "And, ya'll didnt'?" Dixie nodded, 'no' and she lied, "No, Bo we didn't." Bo smiled at Lori and nodded. Lori glared at Dixie and got in Midnight, "I'm gonna go to the lake and practice some..." Dixie said, "Ya'll have fun and I'm sorry all this got started. Cooter is acting really weird tonight." She said and headed to her room by way of her window. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Meanwhile Luke had showered and was laying on his bed thinking ..........

Luke pretty much figured he'd be spending the night in jail and he had to admit that it may be the safest place to be. All three women were mad at him, Bo was ticked, and he wasn't even going to call Jesse. He layed on the bunk thinking. Dixie knew Rosco was more than pissed at her about the beer mug. She went to see Daisy who was getting off work about that time. "Daisy I have the money. Will you go get Luke? Rosco is still pissed at me and wouldn't let me bond him if I tried." "Sure, Sugar. Come on." Daisy said. Dixie followed Daisy to town and waited outside the couthouse for Luke. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rosco opened the cell door which suprised Luke. He saw Daisy waiting as he topped the stairs, "Thanks Daisy!" Daisy replied after they got in the hallway, "It wasn't me who had the money, Luke. It was Dixie. She's outside." Luke nodded. As he stepped outside he could see that Dixie still looked hurt, but she still wrapped her arms around him. Daisy took the cue and said, "I'm outta here, you two." Both Dixie and Luke thanked her again as she left. Luke said, "I'm really sorry about everything. Can we go talk somewhere?" Dixie was mad but felt like if she wasn't with Luke he'd go to Amy. She gave Luke the keys to her T-bird. He drove up to the Indian Caves where he built a fire so he and Dixie could talk.

Luke and Amy setting at a back corner table. Luke saw the three walk in. He looked at Amy and said, "I think I got trouble." Amy asked, "What sort of trouble, Hon?" Luke let out a long breath and tried to explain as best he could, hopefully without pissing the firey red head off. "Well, You know I have always liked the girls and two of them just walked in here with Bo and they aren't gonna be at all happy I'm here with you." Amy smiled, "I can handle my sort of problems, Lover, but I would like to talk to you about something." Luke knew what was coming. Amy said, "Last time when I was here you seemed to want to be with me, but you also wanted to be with other girls. Have you finally decided that you want a whole lotta woman instead of a whole lot of girls?" Luke answered honsetly, "Well, I don't want you leaving here with Ernie Ledbetter." He thought for a minute and continued, "We can try it, that's the best I can do." Amy said, "You are really serious?" Luke replied, "Yeah. I'll date only you while you're here and we'll go from there." Luke didn't figure her to be here long and he did really like her. Lori strutted over to Luke with a look that turned every head in the room. Luke noticed, he cursed and kicked himself mentally. He KNEW he pissed her off. Lori sat down at the table beside Luke and had that purty smile flashing and those deep brown eyes blinking,"Lukas....I....I been doing some thinking and I really miss you..I was stupid to let you go....and you showed me that in the General at Hazzard Pond not more than forty eight hours ago....I..I love you Luke...." Dixie held her head up high as she walked over to the table, "Luke I gave you something real special right before Lori came home. Least YOU said it was special. Cousins talk, Luke and I know you and Lori ain't through. I also know that you weren't home last night. Guess I was right. I knew you would do this to me, Lori!" What happened next, took everyone by suprise even though it was Lori's idea. Dixie drew back and knocked Lori plumb out of her chair! Luke jumped up and got between Amy and Dixie before Lori could get up. Lori held to her chin, it was hard for her not to laugh and give it away. She shook it off,"Cheap shot!" She looked at Luke,"Move Luke...." Luke shook his head and wouldn't move out fo her way. Lori nodded,"Alright then..."She drew back plum to texas and swung hard enough to hit Both Luke and Dixie. Bo sat at the bar and rolled laughing at them. Luke knew he likely deserved that and he would give Lori credit she could da-- well hit, but he looked at her and said, "Lori that's enough." Lori smirked and shook her head. She looked to Amy and sweelty replied,"Honey I'd watch this one he's got three women right now at one time!!" Lori smiled at Luke and nodded. Amy gave Lori a smile that was unreadable, "Thanks for the information but I know Luke pretty well." Lori nodded,"Not as good as me darlin...not as good as me..." Dixie looked at Amy, "Yeah she KNOWS all the men around here pretty well!" Lori smiled at Dixie and winked,"I sure do cousin...I aint nerey bit afraid to admit that none either..." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At the bar Frankie had made her way over to Bo, "This looks bad." Bo nodded, "It can't be good." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dixie was feeling a bit froggie because she was mad at Lori and Luke, and with Luke in front of her she knew Lori couldn't get at her like she would like to. Dixie said, "Yeah, that's because she is a whore!" Luke knew he wasn't in a good place as he saw fire in Lori's eyes. Lori stepped closer to Luke and smiled widely looking behind Luke at Dixie. As Lori grabbed Luke to try to move him he managed to get her in a bear hug. "Lori da-- it! Stop this! This is not the place!" Lori managed to get out of Luke's hold and the entire corner of the Boar's Nest erupted into a cat fight with Luke right in the middle trying to stop it! The thing about these three women was that none of them happened to fight like girls they fought like men and were playing for keeps! Luke knew because a large amount of the blows directed for someone else was managing to find him! He knew he was going to have several bruised ribs tomorrow from this. Bo looked at Frankie, "Sh--! I gotta try to stop this!" Bo was too late as Rosco came out of Bosses office and was barely missed by Dixie throwing a beer mug at Lori!

Reaquanited wasn't exactly a word to describ what Luke and Amy were doing. It is a good thing Rosco was on the other side of the County or they both could have been arrested for indecent exposure and likely more! There had always been something about Amy that made Luke loose all common sense. Jesse had even suggested on her last visit that Luke consider marriage, but Luke wasn't considering that with anyone, why would he with Amy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Luke never showed back up at the Boar's Nest nor did he show up at the farm that night. Jesse was NOW concered. He looked in the boy's rooms and didn't find anything he went outside and searched. He called Cooter's to see if he was there. No where. Jesse was now fit to be tied. He sat and waited. Jesse was still on the front porch as Luke finally arrived at the farm just after 9am. Bo and the others had started the chores as he pulled up in the General Lee. Jesse waited for him to get out. When he did, Jesse got up,"YOU GOT ALOT OF NERVE DOING SHOWING UP THIS LATE!" Luke hung his head as he approached the porch, "I'm sorry Uncle Jesse. I'm sorry I didn't call." Jesse hit him hard with his words as Luke had his back to him, Jesse snapped,"Who was it last night?? huh Luke?? which Davenport?? Ohhh ohh let me take a stab in the dark and say you found a new piece of meat." Jesse's words stung Luke hard. He couldn't have been hurt more if Jesse had hit him but what hurt worse than anything was that Jesse was right. He was dead on target and a hundred percent right. Jesse didn't hear him answer. He looked down,"I'm disappointed with you...get ready to do your chores boy..." Jesse shook his head and stepped off the porch. Luke swallowed hard and replied, "Yes, Sir." Bo was standing nearby and heard the commotion. He looked at Luke and then to how hurt Unlcle Jesse looked. Bo got a tad bit mad. Luke didn't even go into the house for coffee but straight to the barn. When he saw Bo, he asked, "Where are you?" Meaning in the chores. Bo looked at him,"Well if you was here doing yours already and NOT hurting our uncle you'd know!!!" Luke glared at Bo, "I had NO intention of hurting Uncle Jesse. I overslept. Sue me!" Bo threw down the pitch fork and yelled,"OVERLSEPT MY HIDE LUKE!!!!! YOU'RE HURTING THREE WOMEN AND YOU DONT EVEN CARE!!! WHAT KINDA "MAN" AE YOU SUPPOSE TO BE???!!!!" "Bo I ain't promised any of them a da-- thing!" Luke replied. Bo got pissed and hauled off giving Luke a good right hook,"You might not have promised them anything but you're hurting them....Dixie came by the Boar's Nest when You and little miss Amy left, asked where you was..AND I TOLD HER EXACTLY! Lori and Dixie is fit to be tied with you right now!" "Thanks, Bo. I'll remember that next time you and the Johnson twins go at it and Jill wonders where YOU are. Don't go calling the kettle black with me cousin. You are far from being a Saint!" Luke hissed and he grabbed a bail of hay getting started on his chores. "Least I treat a lady right and I don't EVER intend on hurting her OR taking away something thats as precious that you can NEVER give back...if I was Dixie AND Lori I'd be ashamed..." He was talking about Dixie and Lori's virginity. Luke nearly growled, "Bo, I ain't took nothing that wasn't given MORE than willingly. Far as Lori is concerned I thought YOU had the hots for her, or did she turn you down? As for Amy, she said she'd be back and she is............. And, Dixie, well, Dixie is great -- should Amy leave like I expect her to, well..........." Luke, I'm tired of you treating Lori and Dixie like that!!!! GO ON AND SLEEP AROUND WITH AMY!!!! SEE IF I GIVE A FLYIN FU** ANYMORE!!!" Bo was so mad he shook with anger,"You know what....I've had enough of you....I'm leavin..." Bo threw down the pitch fork once more and went inside to pack! Luke shook his head and watched Bo go. He thought that this was just his cousin's way to make sure he did more than his share of the chores. Jesse had gone to town. When he returned, the General Lee was gone. Luke was coming out of the shower and the chores were done. He looked at his oldest and asked, "Where's the General?" Luke shrugged his shoulders, "Bo took him. I'm not sure where." Jesse threw what things he brung home down. "Luke.....I don't know what in the he** is your problem but you best be gettin it fixed!!!" Jesse called Cooter's first thing. Luke nodded. He wasn't sure what Bo figured to prove by leaving the farm, but Luke was sure he'd be back in a day or two, tops! Cooter answered the phone when Jesse called.......

Luke and Dixie, both watched them go. Neither said a word to each other. Thought they were together, Dixie knew Luke wondered abot Lori and Bo. Luke knew Dixie knew he was worried, about Lori as well as Bo. The next day was Saturday and Luke was sent by Jesse to town for a roll of fencing while Bo helped put the rest of the fence up. Luke jumped out of the General Lee outside of Ruebottoms' store only to meet Lori face to face at the door. He said, "Lori." Luke said, "Luke." Luke suggested, "I have to pick up something for Jesse, but can we talk?" Lori said, "Talk? Sure." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The 'talk' took place at Hazzard Pond. Luke and Lori both professed their desire for each other, but agreed to move on, but not before having a 'High ol' Hazzard time' once more for old time sake.

Luke shook his head. Things were back to normal. He took in the sight of her, but continued to work. Bo on the other hand moved closer like a whipped pup. Jesse watched the two. Both were acting rather strangely. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That night Luke was picking Dixie up in the General Lee, Lori was picking up Bo in Midnight. It promised to be an eventful night for all............
