When Friends Ain't Friends...
Bo drank the shine Luke slowly gave him, resisiting the urge to swallow the whole glass down in one go and going to get some more.
-
When Friends Ain't Friends...
Bo shuddered in Luke's hold, shaking his head as he stared at the floor of the room "I know,...I know that..I dont understand this...I dont understand..." Daisy swallowed and started to make Bo a hot drink, finding the shine underneath the kitchen sink and pouring Bo a small glass, handing it to Luke.

When Friends Ain't Friends...
Daisy looked up as the pair stumbled through the doorway, smiling but it soon fading as she saw the state Bo was in. Swallowing she cried out for Luke as Bo slid to his knees beside B.L.

When Friends Ain't Friends...
Bo swallowed and nodded, glad she was keeping him close though he wouldn't admit it as she walked him home, jerking at noises around him sometimes, so very relieved when the farm came into sight.

When Friends Ain't Friends...
Bo swallowed and shook his head, looking around. "I dont know what the heck it is B....I just...every little noise...this never got to me before! Why is it hittin' me so hard now?" Bo looked to her frightened, knowing that these kind of reprecutions sent people straight to the head doctors.

When Friends Ain't Friends...
Bo looked to her, knowing she could see the change in him and sighing, nodding slowly as he got shakily to his feet, jerking sharply as he heard more noises and closing his eyes.

Picking Up the Pieces
Jesse nodded gently as he listened and drove, thinking things over. "I take it this is also why Bo isn't with you...." He said softly, knowing that seeing her again would probably have shaken up Bo as much as it had Luke and the fact that Luke was probably talking like this around him had probably made him worse. Always having been the more emotional of the two cousins, Bo had probably gone to be alone and calm down....or so he hoped anyway.

Luke's Injuries
mmmm possibly....you know I'd love to ask them some of these questions. It'd be so cool to find out the proper answers...
-
Why does Tom have a beef against them ?
:-) Yup agree, although being trained for four years never to show emotion would have an effect on your home life, i've had a grandad in the military and my Uncle and you can tell that they have been because they rarely ever give hugs or show emotion at all.

Luke's Injuries
Actually on that point, when Jesse finds out Bo never arrived, Luke doesn't seem that worried really. He leans against the door and laughs a little and is always smiling as he 'rushes' out to get into General Lee with Daisy. I thought that was interesting....

LUKE DUKE: THUD TIME!
No, its great. That's what I love most about Dukes, its the fact you see how the characters really do grow up with each other and how their relationships grow closer which is something you really dont see a lot of in today's programmes. The only other programme i've seen for that is Friends.

Dukeboys
Also maybe to see how Tom looked as Bo as well. Just because he read in doesn't mean that he was ever really considered for the role of Bo. I heard on some commentary that as soon as they saw Tom they wanted him for Luke....I can see why, with that rugged, kind of responsible older sibling thing going on whereas Bo has a more cheeky grin. Excellent casting I have to say, if only they could have gotten that in the poor 2005 movie.

Why does Tom have a beef against them ?
Could be, or it could just be Luke's character. As an actor, it is your job to act like you like them, but what you have to see is that Luke was never really a very huggy person towards any members of his family particularly. It's nearly always Bo with his arm round Luke not the other way around. Lots of people have written in fan fics that thats because of Luke's time in the Marine's and stuff, its open to interpretation. :-) But that's my take on it anyway....

When Friends Ain't Friends...
Bo swallowed gently as he leant against the barn whole, having taken on a slight tremble and not from cold. For some reason, an inexplicable fear had risen in him and while it wasn't showing completly, he knew that right now the slightest thing was going to set it off, something he couldn't afford to let happen. He kept trying to clam himself down, but there wasn't a lot he could do without alerting B.L. that there was something wrong. As soon as she knew that she would take him straight hom and he wasn't ready to go face a tongue lashing from his family yet....

When Friends Ain't Friends...
Daisy smiled and eventually gently pulled away, rubbing Luke's back gently before turning back to making the pie she had been before Luke's outburst. She loved both her cousins dearly and while inside she felt slighlty panicked that Bo had run off without telling anyone....really she knew that if it was anyone's fault it was B.L's. She had seen the look on B.L's face when Bo had resigned himself to his room and had been supported all the way there by Uncle Jesse and Luke, she wanted to rescue him and allow him the fun the family restricted because of worry. Bo was in good hands with B.L. She was sensible and would call or bring Bo back if there were any problems....she just didn't want to tell Luke because in his frame of mind he was more than likely to take it out on the girl.

Picking Up the Pieces
Jesse swallowed gently as he sat next to Luke, watching him down the watered down beer like it was the only hope he had left. Shaking his head, he took the beer glass away from him and gently but firmly led him outside with a look that refused argument. He put Luke into the passenger seat of the truck, CB'ing Cooter to come pick up the General for them, before driving away, talking softly to Luke. "Now, first things first, you know I don't like you drinkin' alcohol like that, even if it is watered down. And Two, you also know that I don't approve of you boys drowning your sorrows in the stuff either. So, instead, why don't ya tell me how ya feel so we can work through this together....like we all should have done last time..." He trailed off, driving slowly so he could look to Luke briefly and place a supportive hand on his shoulder, drawing him close.

When Friends Ain't Friends...
Daisy nodded, resting her head on his chest as he proped his chin on the top of her head, sighing gently. "I know ya worry about him, we all do. But there's worryin' an' there's bein' paranoid...i'm sure he's just fine. Uncle Jesse's big toe would be hurting if there was trouble which there ain't." She reminded him jokingly.
-
When Friends Ain't Friends...
Daisy shook her head, crossing to Luke and wrapping her arms around him, knowing the glare was only given because he was worried and she was the one calming him down instead of him being able to go and do what he wanted, which was to find Bo and drag him back home. "Luke...Bo is a grown man, not a 5 year old anymore. I'm sure he had the sense to take his inhaler..." She glanced to the open bedroom door where Bo and Luke always hung their coats. "Look he even took his coat. C'mon cut yer younger cousin some slack...and actually there have been quite a few times you've been laid up because someone beat ya bad so dont you start that."
-
When Friends Ain't Friends...
Daisy sighed gently, chuckling a little "Uncle Jesse's right Luke....honestly he doesn't like being molly-coddled anymore than you do when your ill. You often moan and complain that your perfectly fine and that no one should bother looking after you so strictly....give Bo a break."
-
Picking Up the Pieces
Jesse looked up from his table in the Boar's Nest as he heard the door open and thought he heard a familiar voice. He was about to call out to Luke when he saw the despondent and troubled look on his face as he headed over to his place at the bar. With a soft sigh he got up and crossed over to this oldest charge, putting a gentle hand on his shoulder. "Somethin' troubling you boy?"
-
When Friends Ain't Friends...
Daisy had to turn away as she heard them talking, biting back peels of laughter. If only Luke could hear himself....sometimes she really could see why Bo called his own home prison sometimes, espeically when he was ill.
-
When Friends Ain't Friends...
Daisy looked up from chopping apples for a pie on the counter, stopping as she saw the look on Luke's face and swallowing gently. "Is...Is Bo what?"
-
When Friends Ain't Friends...
Bo swallowed and had to open his eyes again. this was rediculous, the doctor had said he might have problems with memories and things but he hadn't believed him because in the hospital he hadn't had any problems at all....he just couldn't figure out why this was all springloading on him now.
