Soooo....maybe that's insinuating that they didn't all come to the farm at the same time...Bo might have arrived at the farm first for all we know....oh god this is all so confuddling....all I know is Luke is the oldest, Daisy middle, Bo youngest for certain....we need to write to Gy and get him to tell us properly lol
-
To say someone's a tyke just means they were young when they arrived. As I understand it, from what Gy Waldron's been saying and stuff, this is what I get... The Duke cousins parents died in the same car accident...how that works I dont know, dramatic liscencing (it would help if I could spell that word lol) I guess. Luke is the oldest of the cousins, Daisy next and then Bo. Bo was only a baby when he arrived at the farm, Daisy is supposed to be two years older than him, and then Luke two years older than Daisy. This then makes him four years older than Bo. So therefore, if Bo is a baby, Daisy could have been 2 when she arrived and Luke 4. I have kinda always thought of it that way, what do other people think?

Jesse sighed softly and pulled up at the farm, stopping the truck and looking out over it before turning back to Luke, putting a hand on his shoulder. "Luke...no one can make this decision for ya...its yours alone...all we can do is try an' point ya in the right direction. Now I ain't sayin' I trust Cassie a whole lot either, an' I can see why Bo would be upset....but at the end of the day son, this is about making you happy....what you want, not what Bo wants. What you have to ask yourself is, you may feel you love her, but most importantly can you truly trust her to remain as loyal to you as you will to her...trust her not to tear the family apart again, hurt them and you all over again....I'll support whatever decision you make Luke an' if you want to go after Cassie, i'll help Bo through it too...but its your life Luke, and if you feel Cassie truly has to be a part of that....then so be it."
-
Bo stopped as Luke pressed his finger to his lips, looking to him frightened and confused. As he listened, he knew that Luke was making perfect sense, the doc's had told him this might happen too...but still it was scary enough that it was acutally happening to throw him all outta line. "I...they....they'll lock me away if I don't get better won't they....put me in the loony bin..."
-
Bo closed his eyes, shaking his head and letting Luke hold him, needing to feel the security of both him and Daisy. "That was a month or so ago....I should be over this by now...I should be....it wasn't even that bad! I just got hit by him is all...I shouldn't even be so badly traumatised....I'm not traumatised! And why didn't this happen in the hospital! Shouldn't it have happened directly after the thing actually happened..." He knew he was blabbering, making no sense whatsoever, but he needed to have this out loud reasoning with himself and needed Luke and Daisy to reassure him and hear it as well.
-
Bo shuddered in Luke's hold, shaking his head as he stared at the floor of the room "I know,...I know that..I dont understand this...I dont understand..." Daisy swallowed and started to make Bo a hot drink, finding the shine underneath the kitchen sink and pouring Bo a small glass, handing it to Luke.

Jesse nodded gently as he listened and drove, thinking things over. "I take it this is also why Bo isn't with you...." He said softly, knowing that seeing her again would probably have shaken up Bo as much as it had Luke and the fact that Luke was probably talking like this around him had probably made him worse. Always having been the more emotional of the two cousins, Bo had probably gone to be alone and calm down....or so he hoped anyway.
-
mmmm possibly....you know I'd love to ask them some of these questions. It'd be so cool to find out the proper answers...
-
:-) Yup agree, although being trained for four years never to show emotion would have an effect on your home life, i've had a grandad in the military and my Uncle and you can tell that they have been because they rarely ever give hugs or show emotion at all.
-
Actually on that point, when Jesse finds out Bo never arrived, Luke doesn't seem that worried really. He leans against the door and laughs a little and is always smiling as he 'rushes' out to get into General Lee with Daisy. I thought that was interesting....

No, its great. That's what I love most about Dukes, its the fact you see how the characters really do grow up with each other and how their relationships grow closer which is something you really dont see a lot of in today's programmes. The only other programme i've seen for that is Friends.

Also maybe to see how Tom looked as Bo as well. Just because he read in doesn't mean that he was ever really considered for the role of Bo. I heard on some commentary that as soon as they saw Tom they wanted him for Luke....I can see why, with that rugged, kind of responsible older sibling thing going on whereas Bo has a more cheeky grin. Excellent casting I have to say, if only they could have gotten that in the poor 2005 movie.

Could be, or it could just be Luke's character. As an actor, it is your job to act like you like them, but what you have to see is that Luke was never really a very huggy person towards any members of his family particularly. It's nearly always Bo with his arm round Luke not the other way around. Lots of people have written in fan fics that thats because of Luke's time in the Marine's and stuff, its open to interpretation. :-) But that's my take on it anyway....
