Yeah poor ol' John lol. Ah well, thats what makes fan fic writing so cool.

In shallow water he was okay, like in Ghost of General Lee he's there too, it was in deep water that he couldn't do it. Such as, in the one where Bo wrestles the alligator, that was supposed to be Tom but he can't swim so Bo does it instead. The shot where Tom's underwater could very well be a stunt double that looks like him or it was shallow water made to look deep.

Bo grabbed a small bag and put some things into it, packing his swimming trunks incase he did feel like going in the water at some point. He knew Luke would probably go skinny dipping but he felt embarrassed enough about the scars all over him as it was, he didn't reall want to feel more self concious. That was another reason he didn't want to go. Daisy and B.L hadn't seen his scars, he kept his clothes on most of the time apart from when he was somewhere on his own like the roof and if they came along they couldn't see them. The only one who had seen them was Luke and while he said it didn't bother him, it bothered Bo. Eventually he came back out the room again, met with encouraging smiles frrom Daisy and B.L and a friendly pat to the shoulder from Luke.

Bo swallowed gently before starting to hesitantly climb down after him, picking up his shirt on the way down before heading insde to find anything he would need, some car magazines, his guitar, things to keep him occupied and amused.

Bo sighed gently. "I'll...I'l go on two conditions....one...I dont wanna go in the water...and two....if Uncle Jesse yells about this not being finished you take the blame."

Bo swallowed gently, looking to Luke briefly before looking away again. He knew that he needed to start getting away from the farm again....but it was a big step...

Rosco was sitting inside having been updated from the prison about what had happened to Bo and feeling more torn up inside than ever before. He hadn't meant to particpate in hurting the Duke boys at all but his actions had nearly now cost both boys their lives. He cared for the pair of troublemakers, no matter what Boss kept trying to tell him, they were good people who always had helped him out of a jam...and this was how he repayed them.

Boss sighed happily as he sat back in the seat in his office, grinning like a chesire cat who had gotten extra helpings of cream. Finally he was rid of the Dukes and he could start raking in the money. Rosco soon pulled up at Morgan's farm before Luke and Dusty did, going inside after immidiatly telling Enos to hush and handcuffing the young woman even though she couldn't move if she wanted to and that was how it was going to stay. He had brought an extra set for Luke too and was waiting in Boss Hogg's trap to arrest him.

Bo sighed softly, stopping what he was doing. "What if....I mean what if something spooks me under the water and i freeze....or...I don't know...I....I just don't think i'm ready..."

Daisy frowned a little, not wanting to leave her cousin behind when he deserved the fun they were going to have after everything that had happened. "Well he's much better, there ain't much that could spook him at the lake...and even then we'd all be there...Luke can't ya go talk him inta it...you know he listens to you more than us..."

Bo heard that and shook his head, switching the CB off as he passed the county line and left his family and his fears behind in Hazzard, heading for his new life as a race car driver. At least there he didn't have to worry about what Luke was doin' anymore and he didnt have to worry about watching out for that backstabbing, no account criminal his older cousin had fallen in love with. Leaning back in the seat he smiled as he passed through the counties, getting satsifaction each time he was stopped and he presented the paperwork that allowed him to travel with NASCAR through his probation. Boss Hogg was happily dancing with joy with Rosco in his office. His plan to lure Cassie back into Hazzard and get Luke met back up with her had worked perfectly. He knew the Duke family would be torn apart as Luke went after his old flame again and not only could he now send Luke and Cassie down to Atlanta State Prison, Luke for assisting a state prisoner in escaping the law, but he had also gotten rid of Bo too. He would work Daisy at the Boar's Nest to keep her busy and then Dusty would be too busy with Cooter and trying ot reunite the family to do anything. He could carry on with his schemes as planned because now there was no meddling family to get in the way. "Alright Rosco, you go make sure that girl gets to hospital and keep her under house arrest until the time she's well enough ta get to Atlanta Women's Penitentary...and while yer at it, if Luke Duke shows up, make sure you send him down too! Oh this is a fine day for Hazzard!" Grinning as Rosco hurried out, Boss laughed and got back to Enos, planning to hurt Luke further and rip him more in two. "Alright Enos, Rosco's on his way....you didn't by any chance see Bo Duke leavin' the county did ya? Only I heard he got himself a NASCAR contract...he came ta me and asked me ta sign the papers which I did...did he get off okay?" He said, his voice dripping with mock concern. Enos sighed and replied. "He sure did Sheriff, sped outta the county like a scalded cat just a few minutes ago..."

Daisy came out a little while later, her bathing suit underneath her shorts and t-shirt, laughing as she saw the play going on between B.L and Luke. "Well if you two ain't ready looks like i'm goin' by myself!" Grinning as they looked to her, she suddenly realised Bo was still on top of the barn roof working. "Did ya ask Bo?"

Bo sighed, shaking his head. "B..I ain't ready to take that step yet okay....I'd rather just stay here and get used ta bein' on my own again..." Daisy narrowed her eyes and flicked the towel at his bare legs, grinning and scampering away to get her bathing suit.

Bo sighed and shook his head. "B...no...okay..." Daisy jumped and shrieked as Luke tickled her, laughing. "Quit it!"

Bo jumped but only a little at the voice that echoed up at him. Hearing the part request part order he chuckled and looked down, shaking his head. "Sorry I can't. If I don't get this done Uncle Jesse's gonna tan my hide an' I need ta get it finished so that the hay don't get destroyed otherwise we're in big trouble. You go on, i'll swing by later if I get the time."

Bo didn't hear any of it, too far away and too up high to hear B.L. and Luke's conversation as he whistled happily through his work.

**6 Months Later** Bo wiped the sweat from his brow as he worked on the barn roof in the sun, his shirt slung over one of the rafters below him as he fixed up the hole put there by the storm they had had previously. Since returning home six months ago, everyone had been helping him to overcome his paranoia of small noises and being alone and he was largly cured. There were some thing that still set him off, a car backfiring still reminded him of the shot fired after his cousin or the sound of Luke splitting wood still reminded him of the board he had been beaten with...but slowly he was learning to dissacociate the two and now he could do most things as he normally did. Luke still refused to let him drive on his own, which he was thankful for remembering what had happened last time but he was very near the stage where he could do that again soon without any trouble. Slowly, life was getting back to normal.

(OOC: Dusty, Enos had gone to find Cassie lol) Bo scowled, making her sit on the floor once she had finished heaving. "Yeah I want you to rot in hell fer what ya done, but first I want ya ta pay in this lifetime for it too like ya deserve. You're a coward takin' the easy way out, runnin' an' tryin' ta kill yerself over what ya done. You ruined people's lives, you helped ta take one man's life an' very nearly mine too! You deserve ta rot in jail with the rest o'them before ya rot in hell." He looked up as he heard Enos' siren and swiftly gathered up the drugs from the floor, putting them in a bowl, knowing Cassie was helpless to move. "An' luckily, Enos can take care o'that fer me." Without another word, he walked through the front door and handed Enos the bowl of pills as he passed, explaining breifly what had happened before pointing to where Cassie was and getting back in the loner car, speeding away again.

At the time, Bo was speeding his way out of Hazzard county, sitting in silence as he thought about everything that was happening. NASCAR had accepted him back onto the track instantly and he was due in his first come back race the very next day. Driving past Cassie's place though he heard the smash of a bottle and the thuds coming from there and his mind instantly sprang to thinking Luke was in trouble, even though he was supposed to be at the Boar's Nest. Shaking his head he raced to the house, skidding to a stop and running inside, breaking effortlessly through the front door with his shoulder, feezing at the sight he could spot in the kitchen....Luke wasn't there at all...but Cassie was, looking in a real bad way. At first, he thought about turning and leaving her, thinking this was what she deserved....until he saw the plls scattered everywhere and his face set in anger. She had been trying to kill herself...and Bo was determined not to let her escape what she had done that eaisly. Picking her up he dragged her over to the sink and held her head over it as he thrust two fingers sharply down the back of her throat, making her gag and start to heave up the drug she had taken, growling. "You are not getting off that easy you hear me." Everytime she stopped, he gave her a breather before forcing her to hurl again.

Daidy shuddered gently, shaking her head. "Good....god I hope he forgives us for this..."

Daisy sighed and rested her head on his shoulder, watching Jesse and Bo with a small sigh. "What's gonna happen now?" Bo closed his eyes gently as he rested in his Uncle's hold.

Bo swallowed gently and held her close through the window of the car, rubbing her back and closing his eyes gently sa he whispered back. "I know cousin....just...god try and keep Luke out of trouble...."

The surgeon's worked tirelessly through the hours to get the surgery done. During that time Bo flat lined twice but each time they managed to bring him back. Eventually, they had sealed the incision and were soon getting him stabalized for transportation to the recovery unit. Stepping away from the table, the surgeon removed his gloves at the sink Walker and Micheals were standing by and washed his hands, shaking his head. "Well, we've done all we can do here....its down to you and him now to get him through..."

After four shocks, the surgeons finally managed to get Bo's heart beating again, wasting no time in celebrations as they dived back into their work to get Bo out of the OR and into revoery as swiftly as possible. There was something about this young man that made the team work harder than they ever had done before....possibly the fact that such an innocent looking young kid was still handcuffed to the operating table....or even that he was just a kid at heart...he had been through something terrible and this was not how he deserved to end his life.

Daisy leapt out of bed and ran to the living room, seeing Bo in her uncle's arms, heading to Luke instead and hugging him close.; "Oh my god, is he okay?!" Bo heard Daisy come in but was grateful that she didn't try an split up the soothing hug he was encased in with his Uncle, wanting nothing more than to stay there for a good few hours.
