Truth, Love, and Justice
Bo didn't tear his eyes away from her the whole time that Luke was forcing him to back away, smiling to himself. It wasn't until he felt Luke's hands on his shoulders, shaking him that he looked to Luke. Luke sighed and shook his head once he had Bo's attention. "Bo...stop this...stop this right now.." Bo frowned a little, shaking his head. "Stop what..." Luke sighed and hung his head, rubbing the back of his neck before looking back to his baby brother...so naive and innocent... "You have to stop falling in love with her...she's Judge Drutton's daughter Bo..."

Truth, Love, and Justice
Bo couldn't take his eyes off her....she was beautiful...a long, shining waterfall of hair was cascading down her back and catching the sunlight. Her eyes were captivating and her frame was neither too thin or too big...she was...perfect... Luke sighed as he saw the two connect again and smiled to Rebecca. "Ma'am, we'll get Cooter here right away...c'mon Bo.." With that he turned and forcefully moved Bo back to the General.

Truth, Love, and Justice
Bo stepped a little closer, putting his hands in his front pockets. "I'm Bo Duke...this...this is my cousin...uh...cousin..." Luke sighed and stood up, standing in front of Bo to seperate the two. "I'm Luke Duke...if you like we can CB Cooter and ask him to come out here and get your car..."

Truth, Love, and Justice
Bo jerked a little, blinking. "Yeah...yeah sorry I...I guess I zoned out..." He said softly. Luke swallowed hard as he saw the look in Bo's eyes, having seen it only a couple of times before in all the time that he knew Bo...one of those had been when he had seen Diane...Bo was in love...and not the usual love a different girl a day either...proper love...she could break your heart so eaisly kinda love...and that was sure to cause nothing but trouble...Luke could feel it.

Truth, Love, and Justice
Luke nodded, moving past her and kneeling down to look at the bumper closer. "Yeah we're fine....and don't worry so much about this bumper. Cooter Davenport can have this knocked back into place in a couple of seconds, he'll fix your headlight too and then put a splash of paint over the orange and everything'll be great again won't it Bo...Bo...Bo?" Bo however was not paying attention to Luke but, as Luke had moved away, had properly seen Rebecca and now was transfixed.

Truth, Love, and Justice
Bo shut off the engine and glanced to Luke before both boys slid out the car and headed over to Rebecca, Bo standing behind Luke as for some reason it made him feel more protected. Luke sighed and finally reached Rebecca with a smile. "Hey there Miss...we're really sorry about this, are you ok?"

Truth, Love, and Justice
Bo felt the jerk and swallowed, slamming on the General's brakes and looking to Luke. "What the heck was that?!" Luke shook his head, turning and looking out the rear view mirror and swallowing hard. "Oh no..." Bo paled a little as Luke muttered those words, thinking maybe he had hit a person, or an animal or something. "Wh...Luke what...what's happened?!" He asked, too afraid to look back. Luke swallowed and shook his head. "Bo...you clipped a car..." Bo frowned a little, a great deal of weight being lifted off his shoulders at the fact it wasn't serious, but not understanding why Luke was looking so worried. "So...why so worried..." Luke sighed, looking to him "Because it was Judge Drutton's Daughter's car you clipped..." Bo's eyes widened before he looked back quickly and saw for himself what Luke was saying. Closing his eyes he groaned and leant his head on the steering wheel. "I'm in trouble..." Luke sighed "C'mon we can't leave her here like this...we'll be in even more trouble..back him up..." Bo swallowed and nodded, throwing the General into reverse and backing up slowly back to where Rebecca was.

Truth, Love, and Justice
Bo sat back in the seat as he drove, taking the roads a little slower so that they wouldn't get back to work so fast. He loved Jesse and he loved the farm but there were times he just wanted to get away and do things for himself with Luke more. He glanced over at his older cousin, the responsible one, who too looked relieved that they had just gotten off work too. Recently they had been working harder than usual and both boys were getting kinda sick of the same sight every day.

Picking Up the Pieces
Bo however had been on his way down the stairs at the same time that Sawyer had been talking, hearing everything that had been said between the two. Upon Sawyer's proposal, Bo had run back up the stairs and grabbed the tape recorder off Rosco's table, switching it on to record everything that was being said with a smirk. At the point he heard Luke's answer, Bo very nearly turned off the tape, turned around and walked out the door. His cousin hadn't changed at all, not one bit since he had been gone. He had been off working on the track to earn money for the farm that Jesse could no longer get because of Luke's foolish actions. However, that talking he had had with Jesse when he had delievered the money to them kept ringing through his head. Sighing, he heard Sawyer coming down the stairs and slipped the tape into his pocket, letting Sawyer walk past him. He was ready to talk to Luke...but to save his sorry, pathetic butt he wasn't yet. He stepped down the stairs and stood in the doorway, folding his arms and just watching the figure that was supposed to be his cousin...but was really just a guy he didn't even know anymore.

When we were little...
Jesse softly took his handkerchief and wiped the boy's eyes for him tenderly. "Just dont go rushin' off because your so upset...you'll regret it if you do..."
-
When we were little...
"Maybe ya are son...it just takes time for other people to see it..." Jesse said softly.
-
When we were little...
"It's gonna be hard no matter what you do Luke...but entering it in this frame of mind is gonna make it worse son..." Jesse countered gently
-
When we were little...
Jesse wished that Luke would cry like he would when he was much younger...he knew from experience what you needed to go into a war zone and bottled up emotions was not one of them. "Son...if you need to cry then let it out now...because there won't be time for it in training..."
-
When we were little...
Jesse sighed softly, keeping the man that really was no more than a frightened little boy on the inside close. "You'll learn son...we'll write all the time to tell ya what's going on..."
-
When we were little...
"I know Luke..." Jesse soothed softly, hearing some of the boys own fears of where he was going and what he was getting into coming out in his words. "I know son okay....it wont take Bo that long to come to his senses...but if you leave now you're gonna go to that place with this hangin on your shoulders and that is a sure fire way to get yourself killed...you need to be worryin' about yerself and what your up against out in a war situation...not about what's goin' on at home..."
-
When we were little...
"Yes he will...i'll have a talk with him...'splain some things that need explainin'...then you can say your part...he's just upset Luke, you gotta remember that ever since Bo was 6 months old he's been losin' people close to him...he never got the chance to know his parents...Lavinia died when he was young...now your goin' before he's barely even gotten into the hang o;high school...it's just a might rough on him son..." Jesse explained softly as he rubbed the 18 year old's back gently.
-
When we were little...
Jesse shook his head softly. "Don't make any rash decisions just because your upset son...give him time..."
-
When we were little...
Jesse sighed as he watched Luke practically run through the house, sighing softly and guessing Luke had done the exact opposite of what he had told him...Bo had upset him.... Shaking his head, he walked slowly into the room and stopped Luke doing what he was doing, turning him round and hugging him close, rocking him softly and rubbing his back.

When we were little...
Bo didn't stop Luke going, or say anything in return. Instead he stayed stubbornly in his corner, refusing to create any more of an attatchment to Luke than he already had. It was better if Luke left hating Bo and visa versa. That way if Luke didn't come back, it wouldn't matter because it wouldn't hurt and he'd have nothing to miss.
-
When we were little...
"Whatever Luke..." Bo countered back, done with talking about it. It was clear Luke was gonna go no matter how Bo felt so he wasn't going to say anymore on the subject.
-
When we were little...
"Oh yeah sure, just leave everyone you love behind to go get yourself shot, real best thing in life to do huh." Bo said sarcastically back

When we were little...
"You don't know that! You don't know that for certain at all!" Bo cried back, throwing himself down like a kid in a tantrum in another corner of the hayloft.

When we were little...
"Well I don't alright! I dont understand why you want to go out there willingly and get yourself killed!" Bo yelled back at him, getting up and moving to the other side of the hayloft.
