That's been there for years though, as part of 'Cumberland Pencils' Great stuff! I took some with me on Sunday (18th), as 'emergency food', when I ran a 17 mile Fell-Race around the HolmeMoss/Woodhead Pass area At least you know it's not actually a 'cake', like some people I know think it is!!!!! Have friends in Barnsley - but take a 'phrase-book' when we go to see them, & have the innoculations beforehand!

Hello 'Hoss' Yes, it's quite a confined space, but I guess vacant property of an appropriate size in the centre of Keswick (or any 'Lake District' town) would cost big money to purchase/lease If he took 'FAB 1' out, he'd get another 3 cars in the space!!

Now this may have been linked on here before, I don't know?, & I'm not going to start searching pages & pages of threads BUT.... Is there something that we don't know about here?? http://www.1966batmobile.com/home.htm http://www.1966batmobile.com/brush.htm http://www.1966batmobile.com/celeb.htm (right hand photos, 7th line down)

General Lee's used on the show, now crashed, & sittin wh
Bush Tucker Man replied to TXZ045's topic in The General Lee
There's one authenticated Warner Brothers 'General' over on my side of the Pond' It belongs to a museum up in the north-west of England, called 'The Cars Of The Stars', & is a 440 engined vehicle The museum owner also has the 'Police Interceptor' from (the first) Mad Max film, & a large collection of James Bond vehicles He also has 3 BatMobiles; an Adam West era car, a Micheal Keaton, the 'Forever' car (was that Clooney, or Kilmer?) http://www.carsofthestars.com/ -
We have a Jaguar XKR as a 'weekend toy' It's got the older 4.0 Supercharged V8, not the later 4.2 (new models are 5.0) The big figures are 370BHP, & 375Ib/ft of torque (more torque by 1600RPM than the naturally-aspirated XK8 has at its peak!!!) But it still goes like crazy! We're talking 30-70 in 4.3 seconds!!! - that's fantastic overtaking ability, far more important than silly 0-60 times Sadly, it only returns about 15-18 MPG on average, & with our petrol costing the equivilant of US $7.81 a gallon (converted to a UK sized gallon = 4.545 litres), it gets used sparingly! I've also added a pic of my old Landie (sold in February sadly!!), it was a 1999 Td5 County (& my wife spent the money on a Ford C-Max - if you have those in the States??? - it's a Focus sized/based MPV) And... there's a Mustang that I saw a little local show last week, if the owner had been stood by it, I'd have been begging him to swap!

Hi, I've probably not been on here for over 2 years. As far as I know there's only 1 genuine studio car on our 'side of the Pond' It's owned by a chap called Peter Nelson who has a museum in Keswick (pronounced 'Kesik'), which is in Cumbria (referred to by us Brits as 'The Lake District') I've seen that car, & it's reputed to be one of the 'chase scene' cars, with the 440ci motor http://www.carsofthestars.com/ If you look at the 'Vehicle Index', he's got some wonderful motors; - the original 'Mad Max' Police Interceptor - Batmobiles (Adam West, Micheal Keaton, & Val Kilmer) - Flintstones - LOTS of 007/james Bond vehicles (including the DB5) - Herman Munsters car - A-Team van - KITT (original series) Obviously, there may have been changes since my last visit (new vehicles/some sold??) There's also, probably -as far as I know, roughly a dozen replicas in the country I saw one of these at a little show not too far from me a couple of weeks ago, which took place at a local historic inn/restaurant (dating back to the late 1700's) http://www.hbclark.co.uk/kingsarms/ My wife was on her way out to a friends & saw it parked up at a local (to use one of your expressions...) 'truck-stop'/motel, I knew the show was on so headed out in our 'Coventry Cat'* Click on pic to open/enlarge * We're lucky enough to have a Jaguar, & it's the XKR (the supercharged coupe)

After a break of almost 10years, I've returned to this winter sport. Unfortunately, I'd forgotten how hard it is. I've done 3 races so, & got another one on Saturday - which is a 'Cyclist verses Runners' Up to the top of a local (to the event start anyway) moor & back down! I'm using a mountain-bike I bouught earlier in the year, not a proper 'cross' bike, but might get one for the next season (had one before) Click on pic, to open album

I'm not sure (without reading everything) if anyone's posting about this DVD from England, but I managed to find a copy on sale last week in HMV (a British music chain-store) It's quite amusing in places; Luke crying as Daisy tells him about the virginity pledges Loulou stuffing the Turkey with Luke Not sure about a seemingly gay Cooter though???? Finding the General in a pool???, at odds with the boys getting it off a used-car lot in the TV series April Scott as Daisy??? Hot!!!!!!!!! As Mike Myers used to say in 'Waynes World'.... "Schwing!!!!!!!!!!" That Simpson woman failed as Daisy, now Cathy Bach has a worthy successor

Those are both superb cars I like 57's but would definately prefer a '55 Chevrolet, or a '32 Deuce However, they'd have to be 'American Grafitti' ' lookalikes Failing that, a 1978(?) Kenworth W900 in brown & gold (Smokey & The Bandit colours) Johnny (in Germany) Is that your friend in the picture I could always 'Tomb-Raider' my Land Rover though

Which video?? (all you say is; 'this video', no further information)

I try to get out on 'green-lanes' as they're called over here in the UK in my Land Rover. They have full vehicular rights, but aren't concreted/tarmacced. Sadly the access we have is being curtailed by law, due to a vociferous campaign by the Rambler Association (hikers) & with a Government Ministers in their associatio,as you can guess it's a bit one sided. At the same time, the the paths they use are constantly being eroded due to over-use, OR,, being resurfaced with materials alien to the surroundings. 'Rant Mode' off On a similar vein, guess what the 4x4 hating Minister Of Transport drives??? Give in? A Range Rover Hypocrite, or what???

I know that John Lithgoe (Dick) is a Shakespearian actor. Wasn't the actress who played Sally(?) a catwalk model before coming to TV work??
