    It upgraded okay, then when I was installing my drivers it froze so I had to do a hard reboot.. and now won't operate outside safe mode. Trying to fix the error but it isn't working. Been trying to all day just about.

    Almost done with the upgrade, then I get the joys of driver installation. Probably won't be able to use the chats though, and yahoo will be through my mail. *sigh* better than nothing though.

    Looks like I may be in luck. One of my cousins has a spare XP disk she is going to give me, and it is the one I prefer out of the XP versions at that. XP pro.

    I am upgrading 98 fe to 98 se so my wireless will work lol. Pathetic, I know!

    Hoss, the update killed it so bad it isn't communicating with the monitor or keyboard.

    The backup computer is a desktop, possibly with a Pentium I processor. I would try to get another hard drive, but I am positively broke. I am poorer than the dukes after the mortgage was paid. It is all I can do to pay for my medication. It would be different if I had my disability, but I don't have it yet. I am trying to get my rescue disk back from my friend, but I don't know if that will work if it isn't communicating with the monitor. I may have to give it to my friend to fix it, or his dad.

    Did I mention I hate windows but Mac is too expensive.... and I have difficulties using it because I was never taught how.... because I was only taught windows.

    I have other good hard drives, but the problem is they are all for laptops.

    Yeah. It was working fine until the updates installed. Went to boot it up and it wouldn't communicate with the monitor, was booting up for over 20 minutes without doing anything (with the little light on which said it was doing something), and now it tries for about a minute before the light goes out... and I'm not going to be able to get the spare going. Not enough disk space for XP. Figures, had a feeling that was the case. Darn 98 f.e. I know it is f.e. because my wireless won't install... so I am back to the phone as it may take a few months to fix the one as I may need a friend to take a look at it... and it took six months just for him to tell me my laptops were fried. I don't have the money to take it to a computer repair shop... and my friend's dad does that for a living so... I just have no luck with technology.

    Hoss you're not going to. Believe it, but my poor computer crashed... and not because of the virus. Of all things which could have killed it... it was the windows update!! I mean... wtf. I have a spare running 98 which I am in the process of upgrading but it is going to take all night. I have to because of my wireless card.

    LOL. Hoss, today is the first of the month, the night the monthly chat is scheduled, right? I have been sitting in the chat for an hour and no one has shown up.

    Happy Sadie Hogg Day Everyone! In locals other than Hazzard, I would also like to wish everyone a happy APRIL FOOLS DAY! But seriously, in Hazzard, as per the TV series, today is Sadie Hogg Day... This is the day that the men take the day off and the women take over. Anyone want to paint the patrol cars Pink? Purple? Anyone?

To the codger by hiding in the shadows? ? ;-) hope you puckered up nice and big! . Just remember Brian, I wasn't going to say what was on my mind! PS I have the utmost respect for hnet moderators, and would not have. Spoken my mind had Brian not informally said I could without him getting mad above.

    Hope everyone had a good one. I am Irish, with an Irish last name. I didn't get into the green beer even though I had prenty of opportunity. Don't like beer lol. Did participate in a parade for the holiday and my health allowed me to finish unlike the event before. And I can have fun with a couple of posts on here majorly, but I have too much respect for the authors of said posts. Sides, I really don't want to create waves and make anyone mad.

    I could be mistaken, but I think last time I watched happy birthday general lee, there was a blooper when the man was selling the charger to the boys. Pay very close attention to the year he mentions the car being. If I am not mistaken, he calls it s 68. Like I said, I could be wrong, it has been a while and I vaguely remember this.

    Thanks guys. I am at the library and still grounded from the internet at home. Believe me, it bites. My landlady is concerned I'll relapse with my chores if she gives it back. I suggested letting me on after a certain time each day and she is thinking about it. The medicine helps, but unfortunately, my body can outrun it... meaning i can go back into the attack. Happened on the 23rd but i came back out of it.

    I have to earn my net privileges back. Ugh. I have had three more attacks since I was last on, two of them in one day (I came out of it and twenty five minutes later I went back into it at the hospital but came back out of it before they had to intubate me. It was a pretty bad attack. Was getting so little air that my oxygen levels severely dropped and the doctor said "put her on oxygen to get her levels back up") The new medication is working well. It brings me out of the attacks. Problem is my body can out run the medication, as I discovered, if the attack is going to be bad enough. But on the bright side, after one dose for a mild attack or two for a severe one, the swelling is completely gone! This is big for me because ever since these attacks started (or should I say became life threatening) I have been nearly constantly swollen (face, hands, ankles). Funny thing is, I have had problems with swelling since I was a preteen. Two years ago or so, when I was living out of state, I went to a doctor because I was annoyed at the swelling. I never payed much min to it unless it was painful. When this started I was maybe 5'3" and 100 lbs. Very skinny. Well since then I was put on medication which caused me to gain, as well as developed an endocrine disorder which causes my weight to fluctuate. To my chargrine I am currently 5'5" and 210 lbs (down from 270 when I visited that doctor). The doctor looked at me, listened to my heart and said it was because I am fat. Ran no tests to eliminate autoimmune. Did not send me to an immunologist like he should have. He just insulted me. Unexplained swelling can usually be one of two things when found throughout the body: heart or immune system. Mine is due to the compliment system... a part of the immune system. The immune system has two parts: white blood cells and the compliment system (and I still don't understand the latter so do not ask me to explain). Sorry I am still peeved about that. He also refused to test me for the endocrine disorder which I was later diagnosed with.

    I am finally home but I am going to lose my internet for two weeks or so. My room got messy due to being sick so much so I gotta get it cleaned up and work harder on my chores. I asked for consequences for my actions when I moved in here due to my aspergers syndrome and the fact my landlady isn't charging for rent in exchange for house and yard work. Fair enough... just wish it was one week instead of two. Oh well. If you see me between tomorrow and two weeks from now I may be in the hospital again. Please pray things get better for me.

    Thanks Kristy, thanks TRP. I hope to feel better soon, but its not all bad. I mean, I don't have to cook or clean, and I have access to a computer and cable and radio (the hospital has a nifty monitor which provides all three). I mean, I could do without the pain in my belly, but they are giving me medication for that. Believe me, I am being very careful not to offend anyone with this post. I done goofed once due to the pain medication which I truely regret. I mean I feel really bad about it. I get given that medication and all common sense goes out the window and I am liable to say or do anything, whether I mean it or not; I just say what is on my mind and how I feel at the time... and I'm starting to ramble. figures. But seriously, thanks everyone who have been praying for me and sending me their best wishes.

    I am starting to do better, but my tongue is still swollen. My face, hands, ankles, and belly are all swollen too. I didn't even notice my ankles, the nurse did. I am now having problems with my blood sugar due to the steriods they have me on. Almost everytime I eat, it spikes. They have been monitering it closely though.. I just received word they are keeping me for another day. They don't want me to go home with my tongue still swollen.

    See, this is why I like Bo better. He can at least appreciate hard work. You're just spoiled. *picks up painting* I know plenty of men who would want this more than a spoiled little boy. (on a side note, I kinda figured that is what happened Kris.)

    I didn't realize you guys were so far behind or all that was going on! I am so sorry. I guess I posted that because I was cranky, and I hate to say it, but I need to learn not to post when the doctors have me on narcotics. I didn't mean to offend anyone. I know there are lulls in posting and such... now I feel bad. I am so sorry. The doctors have me on dilauded for pain due to the swelling... and the benadryl they are giving me isn't helping any. I know I shouldn't have posted that, but when I am on that medication, there aren't as many inhibitions and I just aint thinking straight. I am so so sorry! Brian, you and MaryAnne are the best moderator's a person can ask for, and the best form of entertainment. I am so sorry for offending you guys! N Brian, you post the best youtube videos. I cannot believe i posted that complaint! It is just what I was feeling at the time but I don't feel that way now, and feel bad about it. If you want to throw me in the hoosgow for a while I understand. :-(

    Well Mufn, watching Brian and MaryAnne is better than watching television LOL. Although... this place has been a little dead compared to what it used to be. I mean, try to start a ruckus, and hardly anyone pays attention to it. I was after all trying to liven this place up a bit on the wanted thread. You have maybe ten regular users who post? Brian is losing his touch as Lord of the Outlaws. MaryAnne isn't really goofing (and is giving Boss's deputies a good name), she is doing too good a job of keeping the peace, and it looks like you were the last one in the hoosgow. The round robin section is about dead (I haven't posted there because what stories seem to be going were actually going when I disappeared three years ago and am not wading through all those posts). I mean... what happened? I still love the site, don't get me wrong, and I have started posting again, but you know what I'm saying? It is doing nothing to alleviate my bordom. I don't mean to sound critical. I ain't going anywhere anytime soon, especially if I get another computer, but some of us need to get together and put our heads together to liven this place up a bit. Dukes of Hazzard being shown after midnight probably isn't helping the numbers either. Maybe advertising round robin stories or topics on the hnet page on facebook would help?

    Awesome that the General Lee got a mention, but the guy goofed. He called it a '79 Dodge Charger. It's a 1969 Dodge Charger (with some 1968's thrown in due to car similarities). Sad that he didn't know the year of the car he was bidding on, especially since it's famous.
