I think I just got good and covering up my lapses. It's definitely not the first.

It's the Canadian Grand Prix later today. So far, McLaren haven't dominated like they have at recent races, but Oscar Piastri is continuing to look faster than Lando Norris. Several drivers failed to make corners in qualifying and a couple of penalties were given out for impeding other drivers. Alex Albon had a weird equipment failure in the first qualifying session when the engine cover of his Williams blew off. The subsequent red flag allowed him to replace it in the pits, and he made the top 10. It should be a close race today as there are five different teams in the top six (Mercedes were the only team to get both cars in the top six). Here are the starting top 10: 1. George Russell Mercedes 2. Max Verstappen Red Bull 3. Oscar Piastri McLaren 4. Kimi Antonelli Mercedes 5. Lewis Hamilton Ferrari 6. Fernando Alonso Aston Martin 7. Lando Norris McLaren 8. Charles Leclerc Ferrari 9. Alexander Albon Williams 10. Franco Colapinto Alpine You can watch the qualifying highlights here. The race is on at 2pm (ET), so should be more accessible to US viewers. Will the "Wall of Champions" claim any victims this year?
