Happy DOHD everybody! I hope people will hangout periodically through the night and keep the party going. I'm not sure what episodes I'm going to watch tonight but probably it will be the 1st yr. I'll pull them in here ( my computer room ) watch them while on the computer, after I see the news and some other shows that come on at this time and then.............IT'S FULL ON HAZZARD COUNTY!!! ( along with my Natural Ice ......America's biggest selling Ice Beer!).....aaaand maybe a few snacks! Well my fellow Hazzardites....I was hoping to see a few more Hazzard citizens in here just before watching an episode. I thought it would be nice if sometime on DOHD, we could ALL be here at the same time and watch an episode or two!.....I'll check back a little later before I start watching .... I also wanted to say, that my wife wasn't feeling good, so I picked her up early and she's off the rest of the weekend, so I don't have to worry about getting up early tomorrow or Sunday! So the Dukes and the fun begins a lot earlier!! YEEE HAAA!

I waited to watch the 2005 movie until I could stream it free somewhere. I got out of it exactly what I paid for it.... nothin'.

You're right. I've just looked at the prices people are asking for rare 1:18 Dukes diecast models.

Just got back from a 3 day trip to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. Looks like things are pretty slow around here. Looks like we need another Moonshine 400!

He can ask 5 grand for it but good luck selling it for anywhere near that. We've been selling antique furniture from our parents estate. It has been a real eye opener. Prices on the internet do not represent the real world.

It did help by giving a new generation exposure to the Dukes. There, I said something nice about it. I'm not a fan though. That's the only nice thing I will say. At least all 4 Dukes were together in the 2005 movie. The reunion movie was the worst. Bo, Luke and Daisy all left a frail dying Uncle Jesse all alone. They completely abandon the ailing family patriarch and moved out of state. How in the world did the writers think that would go over well? Clearly the writers weren't fans of the show.

It's been discussed a lot on this forum. I too was looking forward to its release, but didn't get to see it immediately. By the time I did, I'd read the reviews. I have it on DVD to complete my collection, but I only paid €0.25 (about $0.29) for it and it hasn't been out of the box for a long time.

It has been 21 years since the 2005 movie was released. Like many here, I followed the production avidly in 2004-2005. At the time I was a freshman in college. Today I'm 40 years old. LOL I've always had mixed feelings about the movie. While it might have some entertainment value as a movie by itself, it isn't the movie that the Dukes fanbase had hoped for.

I'm afraid I can't help much. I'm not even sure if they were sold over here. I did find a 2012 article on the Dukes of Hazzard Collector blog where someone restored one of these pedal cars. As far as I can see, he just fixed the steering, cleaned it up and got someone to recreate the decals. There's no mention of a sound module. Maybe you can find someone selling a trashed car with a working module. I did find one seller on eBay asking $5,000 for a car "in working condition and in good shape for being 43 yrs old.". As far as I can tell, that's with fading decals and without a box! BTW. Had anyone at Coleco ever seen a '69 Dodge Charger? I understand that making an open pedal car isn't going to produce an exact replica, but the front looks more like a '69 Pontiac GTO, there's a spoiler on the trunk and the wheels are completely wrong. At least their 1984 KITT looks like a Trans Am.

Ducati is now making dirt bikes. And (Hoss might be interested in this) Triumph is too.

After listening to more of the tributes, I discovered that Glen did an annual Christmas busk for a Dublin homeless charity. It all started in 2010 when he was asked to join the charity choir as he walked past while doing his Christmas shopping. He didn't make it back that day, but did return the following day to busk and donate any proceeds to the charity. By chance, he was joined by Irish singer Mundy (see previous page for one of his songs). I couldn't find the story on Youtube, but Glen tells it himself on Facebook. Over the last 15 years he persuaded such big names as Bono, Imelda May, Hozier and Sinead O'Connor to join him. The busks have raised over €2 million ($2.31 million) for the charity. Here are some clips from 2015: The day after Glen's death, a group of buskers/musicians organized a tribute busk at the statue of another great Irish musician, Luke Kelly. One of them was apparently playing a guitar which Glen gave him because he didn't have one.

OK fellow Hazzardites! It's that time of week again, Friday! That means it's the International holiday, Dukes Of Hazzard Day! ( DOHD) Right now, I'm watching the news and drinking my first can of brew ( Milwaukee's Best Ice) and preparing to watch DOH tonight, which everyone on the planet should do on Friday nights! My wife said she's off Sat. and Sun. and that means I don't have to get up early and take her to work and so, I'm free all weekend! PLUS .....she says she's going to fix me a pizza for supper later on, so, Pizza, Friday night, DOH, day off tomorrow, and a pack of Cold ones....it doesn't get any better than this! What's everybody else doing tonight? HAPPY DOHD!!

The Ferraris looked fastest in practice for the Hungarian Grand Prix at the weekend, but it was World Champion Lando Norris who took pole in his McLaren. Both Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari) and Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes) got 3-place grid penalties for separate incidents in qualifying. Off the line, Lando initially got a perfect getaway, but went wide a few corners in and lost the lead to his team mate Oscar Piastri. Both Ferraris also got good starts as did Max Verstappen. These five then swapped positions a bit though different pit strategies, and Lando managed to take back the lead from Oscar. Sadly for Oscar, his gearbox failed on lap 56 (of 70) and he had to retire from second place. At the flag, Lando took his first win of the year followed by Max. Kimi recovered well to take third, and after Lewis managed to pick up a pit lane speeding penalty, he was demoted to fifth behind Charles Leclerc. That's still four different teams in the top four places. You can see the highlights here. Kimi has now extended his lead to 50 points over Lewis, which is two race wins. F1 now takes its annual 4-week break, during which time the factories have to shut for two weeks to give their globe-trotting staff a break. One bit of extra F1 news today: if there's still war in the Middle East at the end of the season, the finale will be held in Europe.
