January 21, 201511 yr Finally made it to Covington this week- I'll be posting more pics in this thread later.One highlight of the trip- we ate in a great little place called 'The Square Perk Cafe'. Great food and service. Turns out, this is the building where the infamous 'other General Lee' was parked during the chase in 'High Octane'. (click on picture below)
January 22, 201511 yr So you ate a Hazzards pharmacy? The food must be great there. You haven't been to the Visitor Centre of Covington? There are some Dukes of Hazzard picture there like this one.

January 30, 201511 yr Author I have drive through Atlanta probably a dozen times in the last 5 years, but never took the time deviate East. What was nice is that we had not planned to go there until the day before- it turned out to be a really nice addition to our vacation!Mark
February 3, 201511 yr My wife wants to go to Florida someday. We live in northern Pennsylvania so you know where we'll be spending the night. It won't be anytime soon though. I don't like to travel but visiting the original Hazzard county sure gives me some incentive.
July 1, 201511 yr Author RogerDuke; as long as you don't come in the summer it should be a pleasant trip! But you should do it; the south is beautiful most times of year; I recommend early fall. We get out of FL every chance we get; in fact as I type this we are headed back up to the "Hazzard" part of Georgia now! Might stop in Covington again if we have time.Mark
