July 11, 201511 yr Author Yes- the main difference is that a 1/25 tree is WAY bigger than HO, so nobody sells them! I could almost have used a bonsai tree! Edited July 11, 201511 yr by Mark B.
July 18, 201511 yr Author Decals are on! Now everyone can see the selection of services that Cooter offers. (thanks to Jeff at JT-Graphics.com). Also starting to do some interior signage Untitled by mommydawn2000, on Flickr by mommydawn2000, on Flickr Edited July 18, 201511 yr by Mark B.
July 18, 201511 yr Author Just like decals that come with model kits; "water slide decals". Jeff makes them; HossC provided the artwork for the lettering.Mark

July 25, 201511 yr Author You can finally get a fill-up at the garage! Pump island- Untitled by mommydawn2000, on Flickr Untitled by mommydawn2000, on Flickr
July 25, 201511 yr Author No but that would have been a good idea! The one on the right is scratch built; the on in the left is a copy on the one on the right (silicone mold, resin, etc). Graphics courtesy of HossC!
July 27, 201511 yr I was just at a little Antiques and Miscellaneous shop yesterday that had miniature gas pumps I'm guessing from an old train set. Not sure what scale they were they looked to be about 6 inches in height maybe smaller, both were mobil 1's though with the round top. Awesome work on the diorama, can almost see the Duke boys climbing down from the roof as they did several times during one season while trying to avoid the eyes of Roscoe and the Deputy's.
July 29, 201511 yr Author Spike- those were probably the same brand of model pumps I started with. They don't make the exact correct ones for Cooter's garage, but I got a similar set. I ended up scratch building two pumps but stealing the detail parts (hose, nozzle, crank, etc.) from the store-bought ones.

August 6, 201511 yr Mark, I'm sure you've started posted screengrabs from the show instead of pictures of your model . Excellent work!
August 8, 201511 yr Author The backyard is starting to get a little overgrown! This area is never really seen in the series, so I get to dress it up a little. There will be some more mechanical junk out there soon. The door and small windows on the back of the 'office' area isn't speculative though; you can see it in the John Wayne movie 'The Shootist'. Untitled by mommydawn2000, on Flickr This dirt came from the original Boar's Nest location; a little bit of actual Georgia for the sake of authenticity! August 8, 201511 yr Author HossC- that's your recreation of the Rosco election poster! Untitled by mommydawn2000, on Flickr
August 10, 201511 yr Author Cooter's Garage now carries a variety of hoses! Untitled by mommydawn2000, on Flickr
August 10, 201511 yr I hope they're all high-pressure hoses, and not those "plain old store-bought rubber hoses" that nearly saw the end of Cooter's in 'Welcome Back, Bo 'n' Luke' (when they were switched by Joey).
August 10, 201511 yr Author I'm sure Cooter carries only the best hoses; but maybe needs to make sure he keeps the doors locked when he's not there. There's a bunch of doors and open windows in that place. Edited August 10, 201511 yr by Mark B.
