"Heck Hughie Hogg can't pull off a dry look either...he's still as ugly as a possum's fanny," said Luke "Course....I should't be so mean t the poor possum," he added.

Luke pretended to take a whiff of him. "Coulda fooled me...ya smell like ya live in there with her..." he teased, a half-grin on his face.

"S'only because I's been hangin' round with you...your smell rubs off on me..." replies with a smirk of his own.

Luke dug the treasures out of his pack and ran over to her a hand behind his back before presenting her with a bunch of delapitated wildflowers, much wilted and torn from their time in his back pack. "I picked em all for you!"

Lavinia however either didn't really notice or didn't really care, more likely the latter, about how wilted and delapadated they were.

"Oh Luke they're beautiful! I can't take em right now cause I got Bo. Why dont ya put them on that there table and i'll put them in some water in a minute...and would you go get your Uncle for me..."

Lavinia couldn't help but giggle a little as Luke sped out the house, shouting at the top of his lungs. There was no way the little boy wouldn't be heard by his Uncle who was only in the barn.

Shaking her head a little she looked back to Bo, who seemed to be back to his normal self and was now trying to reach out and grab the shiny necklace hanging round Lavinia's neck. Smiling, Lavinia tickled him gently making the little blonde boy giggle happily.

Jesse came up the path. "Well there ya are...you come home didja?"

"Yes sir...an' Auntie wants ya so come on!" With that the little boy grabbed his uncle's big hand and led him inside. "Here he is Auntie!"

Bo looked up as he heard his name, looking to Luke and smiling, seeing his outstretched arms and knowing that usually meant a hug, Carefully he took a few steps forward holding onto Lavinia's hands before Lavinia let go and Bo half walked half stumbled the rest of the way to Luke's arms.

Bo hugged onto Luke back, having missed his older cousin when he had been away. He may only have been little but he knew when Luke was missing, he knew when any of his family was missing, and he pined for them as much as anyone else did, maybe even more so.

Lavinia watched with tears in her eyes, looking to Jesse as he spoke.

Luke smiled as he said his name and dug in his pocket taking out a feather from a bluejay that he had found. Carefully he tickled him on the nose with it.

"I brung it just for you," having no doubt Bo could understand him, "cuz I missed ya."

Bo nose wrinkled as Luke tickled him with it, giggling a little as he pulled back and plopped down in Luke's lap, looking up at the feather Luke held, reaching out his hand and batting it like a playful kitten, giggling as it moved.

Lavinia bit her lip softly, standing up and moving next to Jesse beside the boys.

"Luke dont let him hold that ok...he'll put it in his mouth.."

Bo giggled as he kept playing with the feather, bouncing a little in Luke's lap as he got more excited.

Lavinia smiled.

"I know it dont seem like so much fun now Luke...but when he grows up you'll have lots of fun t'gether...wont be so many rules..but to get him there we gotta have rules for now ok?"

"Right..." Bo said, shaking his head before leaning on the fence looking out over the farm again. Suddenly he jumped and looked to Luke.

"Oh by the way! I forgot to tell you, they opened up a new race track!"
