Luke smiled. He was glad he took her distributor before he went to talk to her. From what Cooter said and what Luke saw he knew she didn't need to be driving anything.

Cooter was settuing by Midnight when Lori jumped in and went to fire it up. It refused to start! Lori continued to crank the engine.

Cooter saw Luke walking slowly towards Midnight holding the distributor. Cooter fell over laughing.

But this next time Cooter wasn't laughing. He saw the look in Lori's eyes as she clenched her fists and knocked Luke out,"You son of a bi***!!! there aint no one and i mean NO ONE that messes with Midnight, cept me!!!!!"

Luke lay there knocked out, she could really hit when she wanted to.Lori took the distributor and fixed Midnight. She climbed in and shook her head, heading towards the Boar's Nest.

Cooter got out of his vehicle and went to check on Luke,"Luke.....man you alrigth??"

Lori meanwhile was at the bar sametime Ernie was, well he wanted a good time and Lori wanted to take all her pain away so she followed Ernie home, going past Luke and Cooter

Luke nodded 'yes', but wasn't so sure he was OK.

Luke saw Lori pass him behind Ernie. He radioed Cooter, "Did you see that?? What is she up too???"

Cooter picked up the CB and answered Luke

"Yeah I seen it and I don't have a clue what she's upto but I aim to find out."

B.L had turned her car back around and followed Cooter and Luke back to hound dog lake. Sliding back in her window after Lori got the distibutor cap from Luke when she knocked him out and now B.L was still bringing up the rear and had seen Lori in behind Ernie, this couldn't be good. B.L picked up the CB and added her own two cents to the conversation.

"She's upto no good fellas,just don't know what she's got in mind."

So on they went following in behind Lori and Ernie. Lori.......

As the line of vehicles got closer to the Ledbetter place, Luke remembered he had made plans for the evening which hadn't included Lori. She obviously didn't want to talk to him. Luke grabbed the CB mic and said. "Crazy C I think you things under control so I'm gonna ease on out. Holler if you need me."

Cooter radioed back, "Hey, thanks for trying."

Luke replied, "No problem." He and Cooter both knew if Lori was intending on being with Ernie tonight and Luke showed up at his place it would only end up in a fight. All he needed right now would be to get into a fight with Ernie on his property and have Rosco show up. Luke didn't like to see Lori with Ernie but he figured she didn't much like seeing him with Robin either. He headed for the farm and a shower.

When Luke came out of his room after supper he was dressed to go out.

Jesse looked at him. Then decided a few words of caution may be wise, "Luke, I don't know what you have planned tonight but you need to be in court on time in the morning and it would be wise not to be hung over."

Luke shook his head 'yes', and replied, "I'll be on time. I may spend the night with Mark but if I do I'll he home in the morning to do the chores before we leave."

Jesse replied, "Ok, let me know for sure if your staying with Mark so I won't be up all night wondering where you are."

Luke said, "OK, I will." He knew he didn't have to ask permission to stay out over night but Jesse did like to be told.

Luke pulled in at Robin's. He noticed her giving him a strange look. He walked over to her and asked, "What?"

Robin said, "Where did you take off too in such a hurry earlier?"

Luke wondered how she knew but replied, "I went out to help Cooter and BL try to get Lori out from behind Midnight. Seems Luther said something to her which made her think he blamed her Mother's death on her."

Robin nodded and explained, "I was on the phone with Daisy when I heard you pull out."

Luke knew if she was on the phone with Daisy she had also heard the radio transmissions between him and Cooter. "The last I seen her she was following Ernie Ledbetter towards his house. Cooter and BL were still behind her. She wouldn't talk to me so there was no point in my being there so I headed home. At least she had slowed down. We aren't going to fight about this are we?"

Robin smiled and said, "No." She wanted to talk to Luke but she didn't want to fight about Lori.

Luke was relieved. He really didn't need to fight right now. He was worried and couldn't even lie to himself. As much as he disliked going to school, he didn't want to have to finish with a different class later than next year. They planned to let Robin be the driver as Luke planned to drink his share at the Boar's Nest before heading back to her house.

Robin started towards the passenger side of her car and tossed Luke the keys. They were taking her car because it had an automatic transmission and Luke's was a four speed. She could drive a four speed but wasn't really comfortable in it. They were getting close to the Boar's Nest when Robin asked, "Do you really think it's such a good idea for you to go to the Boar's Nest tonight?"

Luke laughed, "Probably not but it's the only show in town."

"It's your life." Robin reminded him.

Luke shook his head as he pulled into the Boar's Nest, "Thanks! I needed reminding of that!"

Cooter shook his head and said,"Shes got more tricks up her sleeve than any other woman I know of...and fellers that could be dangerous too...."

B.L. sighed and said,"Coot I, reckon yer right bout that, If I know my cousin, and I believe I do.... IF she's going with Ernie to...yea you know..which is sick... then she'll more than likely head to the Boar's Nest afterwards..

Cooter nodded, they turned around and headed for the Boar's Nest, they'd all corner her there.

Lori and Ernie was at Ernie's place, in his barnloft... When they were finished, Lori knew she had drunk all her whiskey and decided to go to the Boar's Nest, Ernie following her in behind.

Lori walked in with some of the meanest kids from school..that'd only mean trouble too......

B.L and Cooter had just barely got to the Boar's Nest before Lori and Ernie they saw her go in with a crowd of the meanest kids in school and followed her inside. They ordered a beer each and sat down on a barstool biding their time till they cornered Lori. She saw them and flew mad storming over.

"WILL YA'LL QUIT FOLLOWIN' ME!!!!!!!!!"

Cooter stood up to his full height towering over Lori with the most intimidating look on his face he could muster.

"Somebody's got to keep you out of trouble!"

B.L had her arms folded giving Lori a hateful look she'd managed to get them all in trouble enough lately without getting them in more with her temper tantrums about not being with Luke as B.L saw it.

"Unfortunately it's US that has to keep you out of trouble."

Lori: "don't trouble yourselves cousins I'm a big girl."

Cooter: "Yeah a big girl that's gonna get herself in some serious trouble maybe even killed if she don't stop this path of self destruction she's on."

Lori rolled her eyes........

Lori rolled her eyes and said, "Like you would care!" She stood up and looked to Cooter and B.L. rolling up her sleeves,"you wanna make something outta this, I WILL TEACH YA'LL ONCE AND FER ALL TO BACK OFF!"

At the table in the back Luke had seen Cooter and BL come in. He was about to motion them over to join him and Robin when he saw Lori, Ernie and his whole crew walk in. He looked at Robin and said, "Ah, sh--!"

"Um, Luke you wouldn't want to leave anytime soon would ya?" Robin asked.

Luke seen Lori and Cooter had already squared off. "I don't think that's an option right now. Cooter's a lot out numbered. I'm going over to get a beer I'll be back." Luke stood up easy and headed toward the bar hoping to get closer to Cooter in case Ernie and friends wanted to take Lori's part. Luke was met by Jeb, Vance, Mark and Andy who had just came in hoping to drink a couple beers themselves before having to go to court in the morning. Luke nodded to where Lori and Cooter were standing toe to toe, then to the bunch standing behind Lori.

Robin said to Daisy when she saw Mark and the others walk in, "Oh this is not going to be good!"

Daisy agreed, "No, it doesn't look that way."

Cooter looked to Lori and said,"Cousin, you think you really want to be doing that, to yer own family?"

Lori quivered in anger,"My so called FAMILY keeps it up and I'll do alot worse."

Cooter sighed as Lori landed her fist right swuare center in Cooter's jaw. B.L. stepped in front of him, and then it happened. B.L. and Loriboth rolling each other and beating the tar outta the other, then entire clan got into a fight, Duke and Dvenport against Ernie's crew.

Rosco just happened to walk in and see them fighting as Ernie's group had fled, being the so called,"Mean kids" they was and all fled like chickens. The Dukes and Davenports all mangled and what not. Lori stood up wiping th eblood from her mouth, B.L. doing the same. Rosco had a few words,"Which one started it.."

Lori thought and acted quick, if she confessed to being the one that started it, she'd be able to get away from everyone. She spoke up,"I was."

Rosco nodded and looked to Luke,"So ya just couldn't leave wel enough alone could ya Duke..... now ya got court in the mornin and ya wanna go to jail the night before thats smart thinkin!"

Lori turned to look to him and then to Rosco,"He wasn't even in on it..."

Luke and everyone else looked to each other as if she was stupid, or was she??

Lori looked to Rosco and said,"Just take me to jail and let Uncle Jesse and Uncle Luther handle them..."

Everyone's mouth dropped as Rosco made the call to the Davenport and Dukes residence taking Lori by the hands, cuffing her she turned to look to Cooter and Luke and B.L. and said,"Ya'll won't hopefully follow me now..."

Rosco took her away to the jail..

When they arrived he booked her and took her to the bottom cell and locked the gate..finally peace and quiet.

Luke, B.L. and Cooter.....

Luke B.L and Cooter all got towels for themselves and Jeb,Vance and Mark from Daisy and wiped the blood that was coming from split lips and bloody noses. Luke looked at the two Davenports and sighed saying

"Fine kettle of fish is we all got court in the morning and look at us it's not a hard guess that we been fightin'."

Cooter dabbed at his cheek and patted Luke on the shoulder consolingly at least they were all gonna be in trouble together. He looked at the others

"Look at the bright side Lucas misery loves company and there's plenty of the latter standing around ya."

B.L: "Judge Hardcastle is gonna throw the lot of us UNDER the jail."

The rest nodded to B.L's statement then dispersed back to their own activities before court in the morning. Cooter and B.L decided to stay a while now that Rosco had taken Lori to jail so she couldn't hurt herself or anyone else behind the wheel of Midnight.

At the jail, Rosco wrote up his reports for the Judge on Lori's confession about the fight and her arrest. Of course Rosco put in everyones name that he knew was involved in the fight. He thought it would be a nice touch since most of them would be in his court room for court tomorrow morning.

Lori was beginning to sober up and now she .................

Back at the Boar's Nest Luke went back over to Robin and said, "Ah, sorry about that."

She replied, "You all were really lucky I thought Rosco was going to run you all in."

Luke took the beer Daisy had brought him, and replied, "Yeah, well he did worse." He said taking a large drink of the cold water down beer.

Robin asked, "Worse?"

Luke nodded, "He called Jesse and Luther!"

She looked at him and said, "Should we head out?"

Luke nodded 'no' and said with a loud sigh, "I figure I've got about enough time to finish this beer before Jesse gets here."

Robin asked, "Are you still staying at the house?"

Luke really had been looking forward to staying at her house tonight. He had managed to catch a glimspe of a very frilly bra under he low cut top. "I plan to, yes, but I'm not sure I'll live that long."

Jesse pulled into the Boar's Nest. He saw all the kids cars and the wrecker but he didn't see Luke's car. He was sure Rosco said he had been right in the middle of the fight. Then, he spotted Robin's car. At least Luke had enough since if he planned to drink he had apparently planned for her to be driving home. He got out of the truck and walked in.

Luke had indeed just finished that beer and had just taken a drink out of the next one when he saw Jesse walk in.....

"LUKE DUKE!!!! VANCE, COY, JEB!!!! GIT OVER HERE AND DON'T LET IT TAKE YOU ALL DAY EITHER!!!!!!"

The children got up as quick as they could and headed for the door filing out of it, Luke had no time to say goodbye to Robin.. Uncle Jesse had them lined up outside against his truck and he yanked his belt off going down the line beating them all. Luke winced as the belt hit his rear-end. Uncle Jesse looked to them and told them to get in their cars adn get home, he was taking Luke home.

Whne they got in Luke looked to Jesse and said,"What about Rob..."

Uncle Jesse snarled,"DONT YOU EVEN DARE THINK OF A GIRL AT A TIME LIKE THIS!!!!! YOU AINT GOING TO HER HOUSE FER QUITE SOME TIME TIL' YOU LEARN TO MIND YER OWN BUSINESS!!!!!!"

Luke sighed and said,"Uncle Jesse, Lori was the one that started it, she hit Cooter first!! They had him out numbered and I wasn't about to see him go down!"

Uncle Jesse looked to Luke,"Well yuo might have done the right thing in that department...but you aint off the hook just yet boy!"

They pulled up to the house and all go tout, going ot bed, the morning would come early.

Lori was beginning to sober up and now she rolled over in the bunk and sighed, getting up to the window she looked up and saw a shooting star fly across the sky, she hadn't wished upon a star since she was 4 years old, she decided to now...........

Luther pulled up at the Boar's Nest and saw the wrecker and BL's car there. He didn't see any of the others cars so assumed that Jesse had come got them already. He wasn't any happier than Jesse was about the fight and he intended to let Cooter and B.L know it he'd get Lori tomorrow. He went in and seen the two still by the bar he didn't say a word just pointed toward the door and they both slunk out it keeping their rear ends as far from his reach as possible. Back at the farm Luther held out his hand as soon as B.L and Cooter were out of the vehicles he only said one word.

"Keys"

Both handed him the keys to their cars and Cooter handed him the keys to the wrecker also. They then went inside and to bed without a word knowing to speak now would only get them in more trouble.

The next morning the Dukes and Mark all met the Davenports at the garage before heading over to the courhouse. As the rather large group walked over to the courthouse Andy joined them. He looked at BL and saw she was a bit nervous, but BL just looked away from him.

Judge Hardcastle looked at the group of young people before him. he had read all of the complaints against them several times over. What had really bothered him was the report he'd read about the fight last night. As he looked at them he could tell the report was likely pretty accurate. He began by saying, "OK to make this as simple as I can since most of you are being charged with the same offenses. Let me see I need Cooter Davenport, Brandy Lou Davenport, Vance Duke, Jeb Duke, Andy Jefferson and Ernie Ledbetter up front." Judge Hardcastle looked he had six folders and five people had moved up front. "Who am I missing?"

Everyone looked around. Ernie wasn't there.

Luke and Mark were looking at each other. They were not certain whether being first would be a good thing or not btu they knew being late like Ernie was surely wasn't good at all.

Hardcastle layed Ernie's file to the side and began, "I understand from the way I read these files that some racing had been going on up at the lake Thanksgiving night. I also understand there were some arrests made that night. But, you five were in the lucky group who was warned and released. Am I correct thus far?"

The group answered, "Yes, Sir."

Hardcastle then continued, "So, after being that lucky it seems on the VERY NEXT NIGHT you were arrested for Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor because you were back up at the SAME place again with drinking and racing and what ever going on and there were minors up there also drinking. Is that right?"

The group hung their heads and lowered their eyes a bit before replying, "Yes, Sir."

Hardcastle asked, "So how do you all want to plead?"

They had talked to Jesse and Luther and all had figured it was in their best interest to admit guilt and hope for the best. They all replied, "Guilty."

Hardcastle said, "Well, I want you each to understand that you could have been charged with alot more than you were and I want you to know that I COULD sentence each of YOU to 12 months in jail." He paused hoping to let that sink in to their minds before he continued, "I understand that you are all still in school and I know you all help either at home or at the garage. But, I can NOT and WILL NOT let you all have such disregard for the laws of this County without being punished for your actions." Hardcastle again paused, "I am sentencing each of you to jail for two complete weekends. You will report to the jail no later than 6pm Friday and will be released at 6pm on Sunday. That's 96 hours to be exact. I will allow you to bring in your school work and I intend to call your teachers and make sure that you have enough homework to keep you busy. I don't like doing this but I think if I don't get your alls attention now then we'll be seeing a lot more of each other in the future. I will have your all's paperwork waiting on you Friday evening. Sheriff you are to inform me if anyone doesn't show up. I will issue a Capias and have them picked back up and I won't be so nice when I see them back here. Oh, yes, You all are to remain completely sober until you final release on the last weekend and are to also be sentenced to house arrest from now until 6pm on the last Sunday. Sheriff I mean 'house' as the immediate area around their farms. Should you catch them off their property other than during school hours and immediately before or immediately after then haul them in. I think I have been as easy as I can on you all so I EXPECT NOT to hear from the Sheriff you have broken the terms of the sentencing."

Cooter looked to B.L. and winced as he knew she'd more than likely go off on Lori if and when she saw her. Luke groaned as did they rest of the crew.

Ernie never showed up at all, Rosco had to serve him a bench warrant.. he should've known what Ledbetter would do. Rosco had the warrant and was off to Ledbetter's house. When Rosco arrived he arrest Ernie and held him in the upstairs cell. A recruiter from the Marines walked in to the jail asking were Loren Davenport was, usually they didn't like to recruit women in the Marines but, they heard things on Lori and knew she could probably hack it. He asked Rosco and Rosco escorted him down to the cell were she was at.

"Miss Davenport?"

Lori looked up and stood straight,"Yes'sir...im Miss Davenport?"

"I was informed that you wanted to join the Marines?"

Lori nodded and said,"Yes'sir I've been planning on it for awhile now."

The recruiter looked to her and shook her hand. Lori felt good that they had actually taken the time to consider her. Lori smiled and said,"well??"

The recruiter said,"Basic Traning begins within a three days of now.."

Lori sighed,"Well sir, I'm stuck in here, less the judge drops it..I aint been sentenced yet, but I will be here today or tomorrow, dont know which one."

The recruiter left his number to contact him to let him know if she was coming or not. Lori took the number and nodded, the recruiter left.

Lori sat down and ran her hands over her face, she didn't know what she was doing but she'd sures to he-- hope it wasn't the wrong thing.

B.L bit her tounge hearing the sentence passed down to them it was bad enough to be in jail for the next two weekends but on house arrest too was about more than she could take. Wisely though she kept her mouth shut in front of the judge but Lori was going to catch an earful when she got a chance to give it to her. When Lori was brought up for her own hearing a few minutes later B.L jumped up from her seat and let Lori have it screaming and cussing a blue streak.

Judge Hardcastle glared at BL. "Miss Davenport you will conduct yourself as a lady in my courtroom! Or I will charge you with Contempt!"

BL wisely set down and hushed.

Judge Hardcastle had took a break and then said, "OK, now I need Lucas Duke and Mark McCormick."

Luke and Mark looked at each other as they approached the judge. They had heard the others sentence and knew there's could be a lot worse.

Judge Hardcastle began after taking a drink of water and began, "Let me see. You two were originally charged with Racing and Reckless Driving. Then, you also went BACK the next night and were charged with Contributing to the Deliquency of a Minor. For first offense racing I can only fine you up to a hundred dollars. Reckless Driving carries a mandatory sentence of five to ninety days and as I told your friends Contributing could be up to twelve months. That could be a total of fifteen months. How do you want to plead?"

Luke and Mark both said, "Guilty as charged."

Hardcastle began, "As I said to the others, I understand that you both are still in school and I know you both help at home. But as I said before, I can NOT and WILL NOT let you have such disregard for the laws of this County without being punished for your actions. I am sentencing you both to home arrest as I described to the Sheriff earlier. You are not to leave the property where your home is from today until your release on the last weekend. I am sentencing you to five weekends in jail from 6pm Fridays to 6pm Sunday. And again, I will let you bring your homework which I am certain you will be having. I am also fining each of you Fifty Dollars for the first offense racing charge."

Luke said, "Thank you Sir." He knew he could have been in jail for up to 15 months so though he wasn't happy with having to stay home for the next five weeks and report to jail on his weekends he knew he'd gotten a heck of a break. He figured he may as well clear his social calendar for the next five weeks or so.

Lori was setting where Rosco had told her to when he had handcuffed her and brought her upstairs for court. She had heard Luke and Marks' sentence and figured she was next.

The judge then said,"Miss Loren Davenport?"

Lori sighed and stood up, she looked and the recruiter hadn't left, he'd talked to the judge about Lori and the judge was still going to sentence her, but she wasn't going to be able to spend her time in jail, as she was leaving for the Marines, which no one knew of til then.

The judge had went through the same procedure with Lori ans he did with the others but only adding to the end,"Miss Davenport, hopefully time in the Marines will help you see the err of your ways... I expect that you'll also keep up with your school work, as it can and WILL be sent to you..just like yer diploma will be."

Lori nodded and agreed,"Yes'sir, im bout sure it will."

Everyone in the court room wenr balistic, the couldn't figure out why she wanted to go to the Marines. Lori looked to them all and shook her head, Rosco leading her back down to her cell, everyone following her. Asking her questions and things all of which she didn't answer. Rosco would have to let her out so she could pack her things and say good-bye to everyone.

When Rosco let her out, she went to the garage were Midnight Rider had been taken to, and climbed in..when she got to the farm she saw Luke there...along with B.L., Cooter, Dixie, Luther, and Jesse. the others was at home working on the farm. They all looked to her and asked in unsion,"Why?"

Lori looked to them and sighed,"Ive been planning this since the beginnin of highschool fellers, they finally accepted me."

They all looked a little shocked that she had been planning this for so long but hadn't said anything to any of them.

Luke walked over to her and said, "Ah, can we talk before you leave?"

Lori replied,"The only reason someone would want to talk to me now is to kill me!!!! whats it bout?"

Luke said, "I just like to talk to you before you leave. I can't believe you are really going to walk out on us all after the large majority of all this was your fault."

Lori replied, "I'll come over before I leave."

Luke replied, "You KNOW I'll be there!"

Lori looked to Luke,"Luke? it sounds as if your sad to see me go?"

Luke sighed and took her hand leading her to the barn fence,"Well, thats because I am Lori, I aint ready to be serious and when I was dating you I wasn't, im trying with Robin.....Lori I dont want you to not think yer not special to me, you are Lori....I..."

It took a little bit of courage for Luke to say the next part,"I still Love you Lori."

Lori looked to Luke as if to find some hint of lying in him, nope, nada....nothing, he was telling the truth. Lori let tears slip and looked to Luke,"Luke...I..I don't understand........ hwo can you still love me, and be datin Robin?"

Luke looked to her and said,"Simple...im doing it now aint I?"

Loir laughed and looked to Luke,"If you wasn't dating Robin Id kiss ya...for old times sake..."

Luke brushed her hair back from her face. He brushed her tears away and leaned down kissing her very passionately.

BL couldn't hear what was being said, but she had seen the WHOLE kiss thing! That was too good not to tell! She'd have to wait to the right moment though.

Jesse called from the house, "Luke we best be getting you home before Rosco gets the idea to see where you are."

Lori looked to Luke and blushed,"Well I reckon so...."

Luke chuckled softly and walked her back seeing the look on B.L.'s face. Lori looked to Luke and then back to B.L.,"Ohhh sh--!!!!!"

Luke stomped his foot and walked to the truck. He looked to Lori once more and said,"Member what I said...and don't you dare forget to write to me either!!!!"

Lori chuckled softly and nodded, returnin her glare to B.L."B!!! I swear if you tell Robin......"

B.L. lauhghed,"Hahahahaha!! welp cousin don't think you'll have to worry with ME telling her!! too many people saw you do it!!"

Lori shook her head and walked in looking to Uncle Jesse hugging him. Uncle Jesse went to the truck having seen the kiss he then asked Luke,"Luke??? who is it gonna be Lori or Robin?"

Robin meanwhile had gotten a phone call from B.L. that said it all Robin........

Luke replied, "Robin. If she doesn't kill me or worse."

Jesse nodded his understanding.

At the farm Luke figured he'd just as soon get it over with. If Robin hadn't heard that he kissed Lori she would soon so he figured he shoudl be the one to tell her and since he couldn't go over there he'd have to call her. He walked in the house to change clothes before starting his chores. But stopped long enough to pick up the phone and make a call.

Mark had just gotten in from Court and picked up the phone, "Hello."

Luke said, "Hey, how long you been home?"

Mark was confused, "Just walked in why?"

Luke sighed, "Never mind. Is Robin there?"

Mark said, "Yeah, she's here, hang on." He turned to his sister and said, "Phone."

Robin looked him in the eye and said, "Tell Luke I don't want to talk to him."

Mark looked at her strangely and said into the phone, "Ah, Luke, she said."

Luke replied sternly, "I heard what she said." He laughed and said, "Da-- if good news doesn't travel fast. I was calling to explain to her what I figure she is pissed about."

Mark replied, "I don't have a clue. I just walked into this."

Luke said, "Well, I'll tell you. Maybe you can get her to listen to you since I CAN'T come over. Jesse swung by the Davenports on the way home. I was with him. I talked to Lori for a couple minutes about her leaving. She said as I was leaving that if I wasn't dating Robin she'd give me a kiss for old times sake. I kissed her goodbye. I just got here myself so I figure BL has had to have called Robin. I was also calling to tell her about Court but I don't guess that matters."

Mark whistled. If BL told Robin half of what Luke just said, it was no wonder she was pissed. "I'll do what I can."

Luke said, "Thanks."

Lori got her things and packed them up, she thought the sooner she left the better. She never told no one good bye and didn't intend on going to the jail to see no one, considerin she'd be looong gone by then. Lori took Dixie with her to the bus stop so Dixie could take Midnight Rider back to the farm and park it for awhile.

When the bus pulled up Lori got her stuff and smiled to Dixie throwing her the keys,"You be careful in her now...I want it took straight home and the keys put up."

Dixie had a small tear in her eye and nodded saying,"Take care cousin."

Lori nodded and got on the busm, leaving Hazzard County.

Dixie meanwhile decided to have fun in Midnight, she dorve it to the Duke farm to tell them that Lori had gone, when Luke saw Midnight pull up, he thought,"Ohh lord what have I done now?"

He figured it was Lori that would climb out, nope it was Dixie. Luke........
