The doctor wheeled his small table over with a few needles placed on the top. He sat on the edge of the bed opposite to where Bo was and put a hand on Troy's leg gently.

"Now I promise this isn't going to be as bad as you think Troy...I'm just going to take a blood sample to run some tests...then I want to put an IV port in the back of your hand so that I can make sure your getting the nutrients you need and possibly later any medication you might need..."

Bo bit his lip gently, keeping a firm but gentle and supportive hold on Troy.

Luke in turn kept a firm supportive hand on Bo.

Troy squirmed.

Bo whispered gently as the Doctor picked up the first needle.

"Just hold out your arm..turn your head away an' think about somethin' else..."

Troy did as Bo said hiding his face against him.

Luke frowned not understanding why they had to use such big needles.

Bo squeezed his eyes shut, glancing away as he gently held Troy's arm still for the doctor. He knew, if Troy's reactions were anything like his, as soon as that needle touched his arm he would try and pull away.

Troy didn't evenwait for the needle, trying to pull his arm away before it even came near him.

Bo held his arm out firmly, keeping a tight but gentle hold on him while he whispered softly.

"Calm down Troy...just listen to me ok...don't think about it..."

"They's gonna prick me! How can I not think about it?!"

Luke crossed over to him putting an arm around him.

"Talk to me about somethin' else..."

Bo said as the doctor started to slip the needle under Troy's skin, unbeknownst to Troy.

"I dont wanna talk bout nthin else!" he said adamently with tears in his eyes. "It's gonna hurt..."

Luke smiled behind his frown watching as the vial slowly filled with his blood.

Bo shook his head gently, rubbing his arm, seeing the hidden smile and knowing the doctor was already taking the sample.

"It won't Troy...it won't I promise...you won't even feel it so long as you just talk to me about somethin' else..."

Troy shook his head. "It will...it will..."

"We ain't gonna let nothin hurt ya Troy...we promise..."

Bo continued to hold Troy close, reassuring him gently before too long the doctor called out.

"Alright, all done..."

He had not only taken the blood sample without Troy realising it...he had also put the IV port in and the IV's Troy needed in.

Troy looked up. "Wh-what..."

"Good job Troy..." said Luke with a smile leaning on his crutches.

Bo smiled too, showing Troy his arm with the small bandage on it and the IV's all set up in his hand.

"You did it lil' man..."

"I did!" exclaimed Troy a wide grin on his face.

Bo smiled back at him, nodding.

"See now what did I tell ya..."

Troy threw his arms around him though the IV's one pulled a little. "Thank you."

Luke smiled at them marvelling how alike they were.

Bo once again was taken by surprise by the hug, but didn't hesitate to return it, rubbing his back.

"S'alright Kiddo...you just behave now..."

"Are ya leavin?" asked Troy with a whimper.

Bo bit his lip a little, swallowing gently.

"Troy...I gotta take Luke home...he should be off his foot..."

"No! Don't go!" whimper Troy holding tight to Bo.

Luke squirmed uncomfortably trying to think of who he might get a ride from.

Bo swallowed hard, hugging Troy back.

"Listen...kiddo...I'll come back...i'll drop Luke home then come back I promise..."

Troy sniffed. "You promise?"

Luke shifted a little on his crutches.

Bo nodded gently.

"Yeah...and I ain't broken a promise to ya yet have I..."
