Bo shrugged, picking a berry and eating it.

"Truth be told I dunno...your rude, not friendly and sure do run fast...but there's somethin' about ya I suppose...reminds me o'me..."

Troy cocked his head. "Like what?"

Bo shrugged again.

"Well the fact you always escape the doctors...see I woulda tried when I was younger but not bein' able to breathe made it a bit difficult..."

Troy bit his lip. "Ya had trouble breathin?"

Bo nodded, picking another berry and popping it into his mouth.

"Yeah...I had asthma bad when I was a kid..."

"Did they hafta prick ya?" asked Troy looking at him.

Bo looked to him, nodding gently.

"Yeah a lot of the time...had to put a tube down my throat some other times..."

Troy frowned trying to keep the tough look on his face though his bottom lip trembled. "Did it hurt?"

Bo shook his head a little.

"Nah...they'd knock me out while I did it...then I couldn't feel it when I was awake...didn't mean I liked it none but...I'm thankful for it now...seein' as my asthma isn't as bad as it used to be...I wasn't supposed to live past my 5th birthday..."

"But...you can race cars..." not understanding how someone so sick could be a Nascar driver.

Bo chuckled and nodded.

"Well yeah...astham doesn't affect my ability to drive....don't help none with runnin' or fightin' or doin' a lot of hard work...but ain't never affected things that really meant a lot to me..."

Troy bit his lip. "They keep prickin me...I don't like it."

Bo sighed gently, nodding a little.

"Can understand that...I have a huge phobia of needles...very rare I willingly let anyone stick me...usually Luke has to hold me down or the doctors do...its never nice but in the end it helps..."

"They can't hold me down...I run away."

Bo looked to him, eating some more berries.

"You scared of needles too?"

Troy looked down nodding picking a berry and popping it into his mouth.

Bo nodded too.

"Like I said...I know how that feels...so...what's wrong with ya? Why are the doc's keepin' ya here..."

Troy sighed. "Somethin with my blood....they say I'm real sick...but they're lying. They just like t prick people."

Bo frowned a little, nodding.

"Well wouldn't ya like to prove 'em wrong then..."

"I do....every time I run... I prove they can't prick me no more."

"Yeah but....unless they stick ya they're gonna keep tryin'...if yer certain there ain't nothin' wrong with ya, then you should let them stick ya just to make monkeys outta them when they prove that you were right an' they were wrong..."

Bo said with a shrug, eating some more berries.

"But what if they are right?! They's gonna keep prickin me..."

"Well unfortunatly...that's just something you have to deal with if it comes to it...I mean the only reason I can do what I did is because I listened to what the doctors told me an did what they said...if you don't you'l spend the rest of your life wishing you were better..."

"But I don't wanna be pricked!"

"What's worse...bein' pricked an' cured or avoidin' it an' findin' you can't live your life because your gettin' sicker an' sicker...a lifetime over a few injections that could make you better seems like a wrong deal to me..."

He said softly.
