Victory came in a dramatic penalty shoot-out when the match ended 1-1 after extra time. This means that they retain the title which they first won in 2022. They beat Spain who won the World Cup against them in 2023. Over the past few years, the English team (men's and women's) have adopted Neil Diamond's 'Sweet Caroline' as an unofficial anthem, so I'll post this to celebrate. Quote
