  1. Agreed. If we cant have the entire season of Enos on season 5 I'd take those 3 episodes because they would be the most interesting anyways...well most likely. Can we petition WB?
  2. Yeah I'm coming up with a whole lot of nothing. There was someone selling one episode on VHS for 20.00 but I couldnt justify that. And apprently there are two episodes kicking around but neither of em have Daisy or Uncle Jesse as the guest stars. One of the episodes is Cops out to Sea..or something like that. I did find the poll about the Enos show and over 1000 people have signed it and said yes they wanted it. However, making a DVD of Enos make little profit We can't even get the MOTU 200X show on DVD and that was just over a year ago because the fanbase isnt big enough. I guess it looks like I'll never see the show.
  3. Welcome. There seems to be a lot of us newbies around. I'm guessing the DOH marathon and the TV show and soon to be movie have something to do with that.
  4. Wow June. Hmmm. I wonder if some big movie is coming out in July and they decided to move it up. That could be a bad sign.
  5. I'd like to see the rest of the cast. I'm also gonna have to think about getting this one. No Enos in this season.....do I really want it that badly?
  6. I can see how the flag is associated with slavery. I'm not saying its right or wrong but I can see the connection. North and south were divided. South wanted to expand slavery in the West. South wanted to keep their lifestyle the way it was. Throw in Bleeding Kansas, Harpes Ferry, etc. and we have a lot of tension. The flag was used as the symbol of the new goverment..country..what whatever you want to call it. And the new gov..country or at least the rich white plantation owners liked the idea of slavery. So they have been interconnected. As for Gone with the Wind...GET A GRIP. It was made in the 30s, which was based on a book...in the 30s. The author protrayed slaves as happy because that was her idea of how the south was from the stories she heard. I dunno about you but I dont see many happy slave movies now..or books written about happy slaves. Futhermore, people need to get a bloody life. The damn flag stays on the car! If people want to protest it...so freakin be it! Let' em. All the more power to em but this P.C feeling nice crap is getting to be too damn much. My rant is now over...
  7. I'll take a stab at it. Or maybe this is why I love it so much. One they live in a small town. That notion in many areas is no longer around. There is a sense of community. Who doesnt want to run from the law? Common. 8) And since the majority of people cant and get away with it, they can live through the Dukes. They have a strong family bond. Look around..you hardly ever see that now. Its simple. Simple people. Simple town. Nothing grand about it. No one fighting to be the best dressed, or pull each others hair out because someone is prettier than the other.
  8. I like the later seasons myself. Oh, and anything with Enos in it Love Enos and Daisy's wedding. I hated the season where Enos was gone. I think thats the thrid one.
  9. I didnt mean to say that you were complainging. But I can understand why you thought I was pointing you out. 8) I want a charger now.
  10. As a kid I dont remember any of this. And as an adult I dont want to know this. 8) Lets just pretend it never happened
  11. There's another car off to the side thats a bright orange. I wouldnt fret too much. Ya know all this complaining is starting to remind me of star wars fanboys or Marvel fanboys. Dont get me wrong, there are things I dont like as well...but eh...I dunno just a thought.
  12. Well, to date I found that there are two episodes on the net..well this one place has two http://www.tvofyourlife.com/ENOS.htm Also found out that Daisy made an apperance as did Uncle Jesse. The show was narrated by Enos as he wrote letters to Daisy. Now, being the Enos/Daisy fan I am...now I must have this. The search contiunes.......
  13. I dont have a DVD burner so I dont even know if one can get them through those..ya know certain websites.... Yeah, it would be nice for it to come out on DVD or something. Edit** Actually, yes you guys are being helpful. I'm narrowing down my options. One mission I have is to find out if I can get a copy.
  14. Thats what I get for changing my title and not my post before I post this. I was looking for the Enos series.
  15. I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this. But if its not please move it. I'm looking for the Enos series(or season) I dont remember this show when I was a kid. And Enos was my fav. I was wondering if anyone knows of where I can find the show. Does anyone have it on tape or that other form of media
  16. I doubt they'll get married in the movie. If the movie does good they may want to make sequals and that could happen in a sequal.
  17. Last week when they had the marathon on CMT they had some entertainment show and they showed some clips of the actors etc. They said there was no balladeer at the moment. They hadnt found one yet. Im guessing that there will be one, but they havent figured out who..or arent telling. And I agree its too important to leave out.
  18. Fact of the matter is both the North and the South had slavery. However, slavery was far different in the North than the South. Most Northern slaves were domestics. Those in the South were mostly farm hands. The North was able to get rid of slavery easier because their economy was not dependant upon it. Who cares if the domestics were free? Besides, in the North whites far outnumbered blacks, while in the South you have more blacks than white. In a few states many whites became nervous, espically after Nat Turners rebellion..or failed rebellion..depending on how you want to look at it. This was also a factor. Slavery has many different demnsions to it. True enough, white plantation owners were ticked off that the North was dictating to them. They were of the theory that the states come first then the Fed gov. a theory which was first held by many Americans just after the Rev. War. Tensions in America, Fugative Slave Laws, Bleeding Kansas, Anti Slavery Movement, states rights, etc. all helped lead to the Civil War. My rambling is now done.
  19. Of the series? Nope Much to my dismay they did not. Enos had hives and called off the wedding. They were gonna get married on the first reunion movie(which I just found on VHS today ) but Daisy fainted when she saw her ex husband who ran off and couldnt go through with it. Now, I know that there were some Daisy Enos moments in the second reunion movie but I dont remember it that well..and I dont have it on tape. Pretty sure they never got married though. It sucks.
  20. But if I had to pick one I'd say Amnesia or the diamond one. OT: How come I cant edit my posts?
  21. They all sound good to me. Get writing!!!!!! And I'll check out that other story. Grazie!
  22. I still think that Enos and Daisy should have married and thats how the show should have ended. But thats just me It would have been a nice ending with everyone there. I was hoping that the second TV movie would have them hookup...but I dont think they did...or am I wrong?
  23. I'm a newbie too. Try not to hold that against me Watching the Dukes of Hazzard marathon last weekend got me interested in the DOH again.
  24. I was just wondering that if I write a story if there will be someone nice enough to beta read it for me. I've writtena lot of fanfic before and other stories as well, but its always good for someone to go over my stuff. I was thinking that the first story would be about Enos and it wouldnt be too long. Please let me know. PM me or reply to the post. Grazie
  25. Just wondering if anyone has written any Enos and Daisy stories? searched the fanfic section but only found one where they are married and have kids.
