Skipper Duke reacted to HossC in NASCAR news
Lewis Hamilton may have lost the F1 world championship on Sunday, but he received his knighthood for services to motorsport from Prince Charles during a ceremony at Windsor Castle earlier today. I wonder if his name will come up as "Sir Lewis Hamilton" on the captions next year.

Technology is amazing. I popped in the Hazzardville Horror episode in our new 4k bluray player and wow is that thing great at upconverting dvds to 4k video. The only way the General would look better is in real life. I could even count the buttons holes on Roscoe's and Cletus's shirts. There was only one scene with a bit of judder but I think that was due to the contrast of Daisy's Jeep against the dark background. I think I'm going to have to watch the whole series again just to enjoy it in 4k.

Thanks, Hobie.
I had a very painful, stiff shoulder in the middle of last week - it's apparently a known after effect of being inflated with CO2. That kept me awake for a couple of nights with only strong painkillers and a hot water bottle giving a few hours of respite. Luckily, that's now eased considerably, and last night I got the most sleep I've had for over a week.
I stupidly went straight back to work last Monday. I initially felt OK, but by the end of the day I was exhausted. Tuesday I did less than half a day, and then I gradually built up to about 80% by Friday. This week I'm back to normal hours, so fingers crossed I get on alright. I survived today!

I used to watch Dusty's Trail with my dad. It used to be on Saturday evenings when I lived in NY. It was a funny show.

Dusty's Trail scene. Dusty has been accused of horse thievery and is gonna be hung. The Wagonmaster Mr. Callahan/Cal springs him loose. Mr. Callahan/Cal:"Dusty, if we get outta this alive, I may hang you myself."

In Dusty's Trail/Gilligan's Island in the West, the nickname of "Little Buddy" from the original became "Little Pal"

Dusty's Trail Theme Song lyrics:
Let's follow the path of Dusty's Trail Oh Dusty's Trail Dusty's Trail A stage and a wagon a headed West Part of a wagon train Lost from the rest Dusty's the reason for their plight Thanks to Dusty Nothing's right Only the Wagonmaster's hand keeps 'em a rollin' thru the promised land Awe the goin' gets mighty rough But they don't seem to mind Cuz it's Califor nia That's the place they must find Deserts and rocks are in their way But they won't stop Come what may Mountains and hills that they must scale But they know they'll make it Cuz they just can't fail on Dusty's Trail

Milk Duds
From 'The Big Bang Theory' :
Sheldon: Milk Duds, with their self-deprecating name and remarkably mild flavour, are the most apologetic of the boxed candies.
Raj: Junior Mints are pretty apologetic.
Sheldon: You're embarrassing yourself.

Thanks for posting this Spike. I read it twice and it's very interesting. I'd love to own a door from a General Lee.

I had to read it twice too, but that's because the first time I read the opening paragraphs, I thought they were implying that these were from the original show. Cars from Ray Kohn's stunt show makes much more sense, especially as I don't remember a 1973 Dodge Polara appearing as a patrol car (there was a 1970 model in 'One Armed Bandits').
Is it my imagination, or is that Uncle Jesse's pickup in the background of the shot showing the good side of the General? It doesn't appear in any other views.
Roger, the comments on Instagram say that the junk yard is in Woodlawn, VA. Maybe you could make them an offer if you can find it!
