Finally got the internet going again. A repair person was supposed to come tomorrow but we woke up this morning and it is working fine....so far. 

I've noticed that when I clear cookies/history I have to completely do it to log back in here. I used to clear all but hazzardnet and a few other forums I frequent but when the latest forum update here that doesn't work.

Turnbuckle....George used to tear open the turnbuckles and fake eat the foam .

Juice... Apparently pro athletes are chugging pickle juice at games now thinking it gives them an edge 

Today I got to spend my first day this year at the seaside. We found a quiet beach about an hour away and had blue skies all day. I even got into the sea three times!

RIP. A few years ago the Today show or ET had a reunion of the Magnum PI cast and Roger was still pretty ripped for his age and besides Tom Selleck looked the best.

Game night

I forgot to mention that I went to a local vintage car show yesterday. It was mainly all European models, with a couple of Japanese ones. I think the only US car was a bright red C3 Corvette. There were also about 20 tractors and two old fire engines shooting water back into the river. We had heavy rain on Saturday night, so it was a pleasant surprise that the sun came out for the show. The only downside was that half of these "vintage" cars were around when I was younger - it can make a person feel old!

Wife had surgery today for thoracic outlet syndrome. Everything went good and I really hope she gets to come home tomorrow. 

It must've taken them half a week to remember the words to this song, before they recorded it!

Was an Interesting night in Pocono. Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch were far and away the best cars finishing 1 2, at least until Nascar dq'd them for unapproved modification to the front fascia so Chase Elliot won without leading a single lap https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2022/07/24/chase-elliott-wins-nascar-cup-race-at-pocono-raceway/.
This is the first time since the 1960's I think that Nascar disqualified a Cup race winner.

This week's French Grand Prix saw Ferrari's Charles Leclerc start on pole again, with the Red Bulls of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez behind. Charles' team mate, Carlos Sainz, had to start in 19th after penalties for changing engine parts. Lewis Hamilton got a good start from fourth and got past Sergio. For the first third of the race it looked like Charles had the better of Max, with Max having to pit from second. Then, just a couple of laps later, Charles lost the rear end of his car and ended up in the barrier. Carlos made good progress through the field, but had to pit for tires with 10 laps to go. He also picked up a 5-second penalty earlier for an unsafe pit release.

In the end it was a relatively easy win for Max, who now has a 63 point lead in the championship. Lewis improved on his last three third place results by finishing in second, and his team mate, George Russell, jumped Sergio after a late virtual safety car to join Lewis on the podium.
