Congrats on a job well done! Loved seein' all the pics, you didn't clog up anything. LOL

Oh man, that brings back memories. LOL! That was a fun story to develop.
It was. I don't think we spared any car in Hazzard from pranks. Even Hughie's VW Bug got the General Lee paint job. Khee!

Happy Birthday Mufn!!
Is there anything Hoss can't do? Vector art, birthday cakes... Heh!
-
A very Merry Christmas to all our friends and neighbors in Hazzard!
-
did you make this one?
I did! And that's an example of the stuff I do in Paint Shop Pro.
Don't worry, I don't mind you usin' the pic.

Did you imagine it something like this?:
BAHAHAHAHAHA! That's about how I was picturing it!
Let's hope that this satisfies MaryAnne and Roger. I left the rollbar on the Charger for safety reasons. I gave the Caddy a tan interior.
I love these! Thanks Hoss!

Those are good K-Duke! I recognize the cast photo collage in the lower right corner of this one...

Heh heh!

Another flashback to that fanfic....
The General Lee, chopped like a convertible, painted white with steer horns on the hood...
What say you, Hoss?

I think the eggnog at the Christmas party has got to Roger with these strange requests . Anyway, I'm happy to oblige.
I wrote a fanfic once where the Duke boys and Cooter, as a prank, painted Rosco's patrol car hot pink... I shoulda gone with this paint scheme. Khee!

As Monty Python would say, "Stop! This is getting too silly!".
Ford had the Ranchero, Chevy had the El Camino, and I think I've just invented the Dodge Chargero . From now on I'll be ignoring all but sensible requests, so don't go asking for Uncle Jesse's pickup as a convertible race car, or Boss's Caddy as an off-roader .
This, ladies and gentlemen, is what Rosco would be driving if Boss had ever succeeded in completely and totally controlling Hazzard County. The Dukes would be gone from Hazzard, Cooter would be out of business and Rosco would have to pull himself out of the creeks!

You are the Picasso of the HazzardNet Hoss. I love it. Thank you.
I'll second that!

Five years ago, one of my coworkers spotted this truck and took the picture with his cellphone...
I haven't seen the truck since then but I have seen, over the years, various "01" paint jobs on doors of vee-hicles. Heh!

I use Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 and have had pretty good luck with it. I like to do desktop wallpapers and banners.
It's nice to see the free online photo editors now tho'. At the time when I was startin' to do photo edits, there weren't any so I bought the software to do it.
My previous laptop was a Vista system and the Paint Shop Pro software I had on that had an animated .gif maker which I had fun with. Unfortunately, the Windows 7 versions does not and I really miss that.

That's neat!

Since Rosco's the Ten Million Dollar Sheriff I guess that means MaryAnne's making about $60,000,000 a year working here. But wait...as I recall from the second part of that episode it was only 10 dollars...so, that's 60 bucks...minus the money she has to shell out for food at the two upcoming Christmas parties and the bail she has to put up after the parties for Brian....
Hmm...if I was MaryAnne, I'd be moving on down the line to a place that pays better. Does Knight Rider have a website?
Food? I was supposed to bring the food??
No wonder Hoss is lookin' at me funny here in the chatroom....

When I was learning to drive, I first started learning a little by driving in empty parking lots with my mom. Unfortunately, she was too nervous about letting me drive on the road, so when I took driver ed and it came to my first time driving a car on a public road...
...it was in a snow storm. Heh! I gotta say tho', it is the BEST way to learn to drive a car. Because you really learn to pay attention to the car itself, the way the vehicle's weight shifts when you turn, when you're going through snow, how to keep it from sliding, the effect speed has on whether the vehicle slides, how to steer to counter a slide (and not over steer), work the brake, ect...
The other thing my instructor did that was beneficial was have me drive in an empty parking lot (in good weather, dry pavement) and go around in a tight circle, (not a sliding turn but the car would lean pretty good) and do figure 8s. Again, it taught me to pay attention to the car, the steering, how far to turn the wheel, when to let go of the wheel and let it straighten on it's own, the weight shift, ect.
As for any Dukes influence...well this was in between the original run and the return to TNN (there I go showin' my age again LOL). I dunno if all those car shows I watched as a kid in the 80s mighta had an effect, but I will say I would love to take my car to a big empty parking lot and do some tight turns and make the back side fish tail - just for the hell of it. LOL. I have yet to do that tho'.
Anyway, like Roger said be careful. But also have fun. If you get the chance, I also recommend learning to drive a stick shift (if you're not already learning that). Knowing both is handy.

When it's summer in the city, you know it's...

I'd love to attend the 17th however the 'Strate' family is having their annual Christmas party at 4pm EST and I don't know when that will end. Could be 6pm but it could be 8pm. So I may not be able to attend.
On the 20th, I am out on patrol till 7pm EST and have to come home to supper. So the earliest I could come on is again, 8pm EST. See a pattern?
I'd love to attend and see everyone but I don't think folks will be sticking around till that late if you start at 6pm. Just a suggestion but some of us second shifters can't make that.
Actually Val, the reason we start it so early is for the folks like Hoss over in Ireland where when it's 6pm here it's 11pm there.
As Roger noted, there is no official end time to the party. So if you don't wander in until 8 or 8:30 or 9 or whenever, the door will be open! We'd love to see ya!

(Ya reckin' Boz ended up in Hazzard at one point? This song almost fits... LOL)

It's official.
There will be two Christmas parties this year.
The first one will be Friday Dec 17th at 6:00 PM Eastern Standard time and will continue until we're all admitted to the emergency room with food poisoning from the buttermilk and egg nog.
The second one will be Tuesday Dec 20th at 6:00 EST and will continue until we're all admitted to the emergency room with injuries sustained by a drunk reindeer's nasty antlers.
If your GPS is broken see Hoss's last post for directions.
You mean Saturday the 17th?

Howdy RT! Welcome to HNet! (belatedly LOL).
Great story about how the Dukes was and is a part of your life. I know Catherine was second behind Denver for your favorites, but allow me to take you back with that "People" mag cover of Catherine Bach (and for those who've never seen it...and the rest of us old duffers who might have forgotten about it. LOL...)
I hope you vist more often too!

Bahahahaha! MaryAnne's turned 21 a lot.
But, I won't reveal her actual age ( I don't have the necessary degree in anthropology, for one thing) because she and I have a pact in that respect.
I've turned 21 a lot too.
Indeed. And with that pact (and the fact that I'm no good at carbon dating) I won't reveal Brian's actual age.
It's easier for both of us to just say (and stay) 21.
-
MaryAnne, I'm beginning to doubt your claim that you turned 21 at your last birthday .
That's why I hate revealin' my age too much. Really! I'm still 21!!! LOL

Howdy Ramiro! Welcome to HNet! You're right, we have folks here who really know their stuff when it comes to the Dukes. Everything you ever wanted to know, you'll find it here.
