  1. I'm 6'4" maybe a tad over and John and I are almost exactly the same height I got him by maybe 1/2 inch.I know I'm taller than Ben and Sonny.Rick is real close to me as well. Don Pedro is just a tad taller than me like 6'5".John20Shneider.jpg

  2. Post pictures if you can. There are 4 Bo's General Lee's but to my knowledge they are ALL accounted for. These were built by John himself and later sold or auctioned to private owners and all 4 were tagged with special tags under the hood or on the dash saying Bo's General Lee # 1,2,3,or 4. I personally know #2 is here in Ohio and #4 was the one he sold at Barrett Jackson a few years ago for 450K. This is also the only one to appear in a Dukes reuinion movie the second reunion movie.

  3. Amen Roger. The big wigs at WB were just looking to cash in on the name and that's about it. I totally disagree with the statement that a movie 100% based on the show would not have done as well.Well judging buy the responses here that statement is incorrect. In fact that's what a majority of us are complaining about the movie, that it wasn't anything like the show. The movie didn't really do all that well either considering the budget they had.It only took in a little over 100 million world wide and the budget was right near 70 million including a 20 million law suit settlement that they didn't have the rights to even make the movie.DUH By Hollywood standards that isn't a very good profit margin which explains the direct to DVD Beginning "prequel".They weren't gonna risk another huge budget on a potential loser big screen production. It's all water under the bridge now and thankfully I believe they learned their lesson as there aren't going to be anymore to be made.

  4. I apologize if I stirred up hornets nest but it's just the way I feel about the subject. The remake(s) were such a departure from what the TV series was (more of a parody really) that it rubs me the wrong way that my car is now associated with those movies. On top of that I'm well aware of what the original cast thought of those movies, just to cash in on the title and the hard work they spent 7 seasons delivering.Ask James Best about it. I have never claimed my car to be a real one even though it does have some documented TV series parts on it and I get asked all the time if it is or not. Again it is very cool if anyone owns a General. What you say is true about 17 of the 23 or 24 TV series survivors, they are still under a contract which is very restrictive but that is to keep those guys from making tons of cash buy selling pictures or charging to see them and stuff like that. I know the people who own #33 TV series survivor right here in Ohio and yes I'm close friends with Wayne Wooten also. Autorama1.jpg

  5. Very cool that you have a General too. Please do not take the following of what I say personally as it is my own opinion. I personally DO NOT consider any Lees used in the 2005 debacle "REAL" General Lees. The only "REAL" ones in my own opinion are true TV or reunion used surviving Lees or in other words used on screen by the "Original" actors and to the best of my knowledge that's only 23 actual documented cars. Again this is just my personal opinion and mean no disrespect toward WB General Lee.

  6. If it is a documented one, It almost can't be one of the 17 that Wayne originally rescued from WB back in 89.All those are under very strict contracts to prevent the owners from making huge profits by charging for pictures, charging admission to a show to see said vehicle. So that being said, IF it is one of those 17 the person owning it is breaking their contract by allowing the museum to charge admission to see it. There are a lot of so called AUTHENTIC ones that aren't beware of false advertising. Volo is claiming the Don Shishler car now being displayed at their museum is a "genuine" General also but it is NOT.True it did belong to Don who was the man in charge of the Lees while filming in Georgia and it was on the WB filming set as a parts car. However It became a General AFTER filming ended in Georgia as Don had it built for his son. It was NEVER used on screen so it is just a REPLICA but they are trying to pass it off as a REAL one.

  7. Go to CGLFC.com and go to forums section either under General Lee stuff or Hazzard garage. There are guys selling wide pushbars or there is a template where you can weld up your own if you have the knowledge to do that stuff but someone over there has the dimensions.I'd have to measure mine but my car is in storage and kinda hard to measure where its at.

  8. With as many Chargers that were used during the series I doubt any odometer readings were accurate that you could see in a camera shot. You gotta remember they used more than one car. It's not that easy to turn back the odometer on one either, you have to tear the entire instrument cluster out and remove the speedo gauge itself and tear it somewhat apart,on top of that it's technically illegal to do that.
