  1. Kinda disappointed at the lack of response to this post. Come on people!!! I know most of you don't or won't consider it "Officially a birthday" until Jan 26 of next year the actual first air date but it started filming on the date above. This entire site devoted to the show and only 1 person responds to it???? Whats up with that? That was an historic day!!!

  2. Ok here is another hypothetical question. Say WB would have settled things with John and Tom before it got to the point of them leaving the show and there would have been no Coy and Vance. How many seasons do you think it may have added to the longevity of the series even with them using miniatures for jumps? I mean the ratings would have never dropped as radically as they did when they left. We all know cars and scripts were being prepared for a 8th season as it was. I believe it would have lasted 9 possibly 10 seasons.

  3. Check the universal joints in the drive shaft also check the oil level in the tranny and differential. If it has sat for a long period of time you may have had leaks that you weren't aware of it kinda sounds like a universal joint though. Pray it isn't in the transfer case for the 4 wheel drive.I've been told that can get very expensive.

  4. I was just being realistic wasn't intended to rain on anyones parade.Sorry my bad. Just facing the facts of the matter. Get them to start building 69 Chargers again and I'll be all for a new series if it met certain criteria that Roger allready has pointed out.

  5. This has been addressed before. One huge problem.Where are you gonna find 69 Chargers? There aren't enough to do a weekly series with the amount of stunts everyone expects to see.CGI? There goes your low budget.Miniatures? Looks too fake but low budget.Change the car to a newer car or introduce a new car with a different name? Won't watch it period doomed for failure. Every Knight Rider fan I've spoken to hates the new KITT so a new General won't work.Even with a new car it will be a huge budget. So I don't see it happening.

  6. Roger I believe you nailed it exactly. They went toward a age demographic not a fan demographic.Unfortunately a lot of fans fell into that trap and went to see it out of curiosity hopefull to see a decent remake of a TV show they hold so dear to their hearts.Boy did they get fooled. It is sad that society has gone to the depths that that is what the younger generation wants to see. I was just at a local early Halloween party and all I heard from the younger people looking at my car was "Where is Johnny Knoxville?" or "Where is Jessica Simpson?". A bit unnerving to say the least, in fact it upset me a bit but I kept my cool about it and just rolled my eyes.At least there aren't going to be anymore movies at least none in the near future and I don't believe there will be at all.

  7. Nope can't tell from those either other than it is a true 69. It has the reverse lights in the lower valance, however most of those were covered over or filled over on the TV series to make them all look uniform because 68's didn't have them and they converted many 68's. My guess is he mispoke and meant it was from the 05 MOVIE. I might believe it was a movie survivor but there is a TON of difference between a movie survivor and a TV survivor. I don't see any padding on the roll bar either another flaw in the slaw.

  8. I still don't think it was from the show. Where was this taken? I mean what state. As said before IF this is indeed a TV series survivor it has been restored and things added to it. Therefore as I said it has lost ANY historical value it had and is ruined in my opinion. If I had a TV series survivor it wouldn't be touched outside of maybe buffing the original WB paint. Yeehaw is that the only photo you took? I'm not convinced until I see more pics.I'm not taking someones word for it.The door lock knob was a good spot too those were removed as per your explanation. Also a question was this car advertised as being there or did it just show up?

  9. The "G" has that extra drop down piece where it starts to curve up. That shouldn't be there. I can tell those are Phoenix graphics. IF this is a true TV series car it has totally been re-done which ruined any historical value it had. But I'm 99.9% sure this isn't a TV show survivor. Another little detail it has the fender antenna most were removed and filled in on the show.

  10. Hate to tell you but if that person claimed that car was used on TV they lied.To my knowledge NONE of the TV series cars had the Charger emblem on the sail panel unless he added it. Also the General Lee text on the roof is also wrong. If you can supply more pics I can tell for absolute positive. Another flaw is the white letters tires none of the TV series cars had white letters exposed they were turned in so you couldn't see them.

  11. Concrete are you totally serious? You mean you actually have that kind of cash? More power to ya bro. I wish I could dish out 150 grand that easy. In all seriousness though Rick and Paula JABOLNSKI owns # 33 here in Ohio, can't say if it's still for sale or not. I don't know if their number is listed or not you can look on White pages.com. Here are 2 sites you need to visit. http://www.dohgltruth.com/ and http://cglfc.com/ you can register and post on the cglfc just like this board someone maybe able to help you there. As far as what they are worth? With John's GL selling for 450,000 at Barrett-Jackson it's hard to say and I would consider it a "REAL" one even though it wasn't built by WB but it was used by the original cast in the second reunion movie. I don't think you'll see a TV series used one under 100 grand.

  12. The move to Atlanta was supposed to be FOR the fans. That's where Dukes started.Atlanta,Conyers,Covington areas. It was held there for the 30th anniversary so fans could go see all the original filming locations and so forth. When this was first announced they didn't expect 4.15 a gallon gas along with everything else going up. You can't change plans at the last minute for an event this big once it's set. Agreed Adam West was bad choice. You can't please everyone or control the economy or control how well you are received at a certain city. This maybe the last one as far as a castmember sponsoring it. If you think you can do a better job, go for it. Then you can deal with all the headaches organizing an event this big with people complaining on this person should be there or that person shouldn't,what to do with all the Hazzard vehicles, ect. list goes on and on. Until then be grateful there even is an event like this.
