Thanks everyone. You guys in the US have really gone to a lot of trouble for my birthday this year.

I keep getting scam text messages giving me websites to track my parcel deliveries or some variant. There seems to be a lot of them going around. The fact that I don't order online kind of gives their game away.

Here's some non-copyright banjo music. One of the comments suggested playing it at 1.5x speed for car chase music.

It looks great, but I struggled to read the questions with more than about a second left to read the answers. Could you possibly put the question up for about 5 seconds and then reveal the answer choices with the 5 second countdown? I know I could pause the video, but that defeats the point of having a countdown timer.

I don't have much sympathy - I filled up with unleaded last night at €1.67/litre. If my sums are correct, that's about $7.33/US gallon.

    Voice

Despite the lead singers being American, I don't think that Voice of the Beehive had much chart success in the US. I've also just realized that it was 30 years ago that I saw them live!

You obviously mean rugby football, Roger. It's good to know that you'll be staying in to watch Ireland v Wales this afternoon (or morning for you)!

A episode of the current season of the UK TV show QI put forward the following:

When the Vikings invaded in the 11th century, English women found them attractive because they washed more often than the native British men. The Vikings tended to come without women, so they married English women, upsetting the locals. One monk, John of Wallingford, claimed that Danes cheated by washing. He wrote: "The Danes made themselves too acceptable to English women by their elegant manners and their care of their person. They combed their hair daily and took a bath every Saturday, and even changed their clothes frequently, be which means they undermined the chastity of the wives." Thus there is a theory that all of that stories about Vikings raping and pillaging were written by Englishmen whose wives were taken by more attractive Danes.

I must remember to have a bath on Saturday to make myself irresistible to women.

I couldn't use Spike's image because it's hard to recolor black panels, so here's a quick effort based on another image I found. There aren't many places for the graphics. You'll have to imagine the flag on the gas tank, because you can't see it from this angle.

I've idea whether other countries use that style, but White Star Line hats are quite similar to UK Navy hats, and do not have ropes and anchors.

It is used here, but I can't imagine it would have been used for the master of a White Star Line vessel over a hundred years ago. It would have been a very respected position. Skipper is also used here for the captain of a football (soccer) team.

Despite sinking on its maiden voyage, Belfast is still proud of building the Titanic. There's a visitor attraction dedicated to it, although I didn't have enough time to check it out when I was in Belfast a few years ago.
Whether he was bad or good, the person in charge of the Titanic was English, so he would never have been known as Skipper Smith. He was Captain Edward Smith.

BTW. Skipper, why are you posting everything about the Titanic twice? Your posts don't really relate to either movie (they're just general discussion about the Titanic), and you certainly don't need to double post.

We had 330 new cases today. That's just over one and a half times as many as you, but with a population over 18 times as large.

A few years ago, the TV show Wheeler Dealers repainted a Caterham 7 (the modern version of the Lotus 7) in Kawasaki Green. It was apparently a 'hot' color - definitely eye-catching.

It's funny how this guest stars thing goes. I watched another two episodes of Hart to Hart today and didn't spot anyone from Dukes. I didn't recognize any of the guest stars in the first episode ('Murder Between Friends'). The second, 'Cop Out', featured Burr DeBenning who was in a couple of episodes of CHiPs and The Fall Guy. It also had an early appearance of Markie Post who went on to be Terri Michaels in The Fall Guy. The Terri Michaels character basically took over from Samantha 'Big Jack' Jack who was played by Jo Ann Pflug (Helen Hogan in 'Route 7-11') - that's the closest I could get to a Dukes connection!

The F1 season finally got under way this weekend. This year's cars are quite different from last year in a effort to make close following and overtaking more easy.

After pre-season testing, it looked like Red Bull had made the most of the new regulations, with Ferrari close behind and Mercedes off the pace. However, in yesterday's qualifying, Ferrari took first and third with Red Bull in second and fourth. Aiming for a damage limitation race, Mercedes were fifth and ninth.

In today's race, Ferrari's Charles Leclerc led from the start, but Red Bull's Max Verstappen briefly swapped places with him several times after the first pit stops. Carlos Sainz in the second Ferrari maintained third place for most of the race with the second Red Bull of Sergio Perez and the lead Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton behind. George Russell in the second Mercedes improved from ninth to sixth. These places were looking pretty static until Pierre Gasly's Alpha Tauri pulled to the side of the track, bringing out a safety car with 13 laps to go. Charles Leclerc nailed the restart while Max Verstappen began to complain about issues with his car. With three laps to go, Max Verstappen had to retire, and his team mate Sergio Perez also retired at the start of the last lap. That gave Ferrari a 1-2 finish in the opening race with Mercedes gaining an unlikely third and fourth. Kevin Magnussen, who only found out that he was racing a few days ago when Haas sacked Russian driver Nikita Mazepin, finished an impressive fifth. F1's first Chinese driver, Guanyu Zhou, scored a point for finishing tenth on his debut.

Ferrari now head to next week's Saudi Arabia Grand Prix with a maximum of 44 points, with Mercedes on 27 and Red Bull on zero. Mercedes think they have a fast car once they can iron out a few issues, and both Haas and Alfa Romeo seem much more competitive than last year. Apart from Mercedes, other teams playing catch-up this year are McLaren and Aston Martin.
