Friday update: Good News! Good News!! Ben is out of surgery and the Dr. Is very pleased. Looks like it will be a pretty long recovery but I promise to take good care of him so he'll be back in the tow truck asap:) thank you from the bottom of my heart, Hazzard Nation. Today's update: Hey y'all, Miss Alma again...first let me say that Ben is genuinely overwhelmed by the outpouring of prayers and concern from old friends all around the world. Although he says he is in " a heap of hurtin' " he is very happy despite the pain and as y'all know he is a tough ol' bird! There has been a slight complication and the surgery has been postponed until tomorrow morning (we hope) so Bless you all and Thanks for your love and kindness.

I agree about the yellow one as well as the season 1/2 yellow hat- adds that splash of color. Thes season 1/2 was also the most iconic as this was the image you saw if Cooter in the title sequence that lasted the entire series. Ben Jones must agree- the hat you see him in most often now is his yellow 'Cooter's Place' hat!

I'm looking for info/pics, etc on 1977 Dodge Monacos used in the show as something other than a police car. I recall seeing them now and then, but can't recall which episodes. Any help is appreciated! Mark

On Saturday July 29th and Sunday July 30th of next year, 2017, we will be producing our last “big event”, Hazzard Homecoming 2017, which will be our last festival with the whole Hazzard gang. Hazzard Homecoming 2017 will also be called “Cooter’s Last Stand”, since this show will also mark the end of my almost 60 years “on the road.” As many of you know, a debilitating and progressive spinal condition has greatly restricted my movement and my travel in the last few years. After this event, I plan to “kick back” around our home here in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and I’ll have to cut back on concerts and personal appearances. I’ll still make it to our Cooter’s Place stores when I can, and I’ll still get into the recording studio for our musical projects. But we want to go out with a bang, and we want to make this event as special as our “Dukes” fans deserve. We plan to have the whole cast there, and it seems like something magical always happens when we are all in the same place at the same time. There will be personal appearances, great music, the Hazzard Car Show, a stunt show, wrestling, fine Southern cooking, fireworks, a Civil War re-enactment, kid activities, and plenty of surprises. Hazzard Homecoming 2017 will be at Ben Venue Farm here in beautiful Rappahannock County, Virginia. Unless you pay close attention, you may think that Cooter always wears the same hat (probably the one in the title sequence). Bo and Luke even chat about Cooter wearing the same old hat in 'Welcome Back Bo and Luke'. But if you DO pay close attention, you'll know that that Cooter wears no less than 9 different caps during the run of the 7 seasons. If you count the two reunion movies, then the total is 11. The cab is an AMT Crewchief Blazer and the wheels/chassis if from the Revell '77 GMC Wrecker. The rear body and tow rig are scratch built, but I used a couple pieces from the Revell wrecker kit.
