Elly and Daisy stare at eachother. Daisy: Enos . . .I-I really want to say yes, but after the last time.

Enos: Well . . .it's when one of those guys shot me. Apparnetly those weren't regular bullets and he says there's something not right with my blood. I would have told you sooner, but I didn't want you to worry.

Elly: Okay so sorry I got y'all started. Daisy: *shrugs* Enos . . .how can it when we almost got married and never did?

Enos: Daisy . . .I'm awful sorry to say this *cries* but the other day when I was here. Doc wanted to see my arm. He thinks I might have poisoning.

Daisy: I know you ain't mad. It's just that I can't stand to see you hurting like this.

Daisy: Touchy? *sighs* Enos I'm really not trying to be. It's just that you know how much I love you, but it'd never work.

Enos: Daisy, you were just saying how well he was doing. Where do you get this idea that he's going to.

Daisy: *goes into the den to see Enos laying on the couch* Hey Enos *starts crying a bit* I'm so sorry.

when they finish Daisy takes the plates back in the house and then the boys and Uncle Jesse come back out.

Elly: I might but seriously Manny. You're making my cousins uncomfortable.

Daisy: Can I see him for a minute?

Daisy: *sets the plates down on the picnic table in the yard* Good. We made plenty.

Elly: So glad. You know . . .seems to me that the law ain't the only thing crooked around here.

Daisy: How's Enos? I know he's hurting awful bad right now.

Alan: Don't worry. *Just then Daisy comes out with breakfast for all of them*

Elly: and you were worried i'd fall for him? Manny i'd never anyone who would hurt my family like that.

Daisy: *kocks on the door to Enos' house*

Alan: I know they will come. Are you thinking that they'll have trouble helping? Remember, I grew up around here. This is a hard place if you don't know your way around it.
