  1. "Do you think I'm too proud? That I'll bite the hand that feeds me so to speak?" Lizzy asks.
  2. "Daisy, if I can't trust my best friend to be honest then who can I trust?" Lizzy says.
  3. "As long as it's your kid you don't care how often you see it do you?" Lizzy asks. "Mommy you're doing it again." Heather says. "Doing what?" Lizzy asks. "Being difficult. You're testing Daddy to see if he'll give the answers you want, of course he will, he loves you mommy and your too stupid to see it. I wish you stop it. Your pride and ego get to you sometimes." Heather says. Lizzy nods and walks into Daisy's room. "Daisy...do you think I'm egotistical?" Lizzy asks.
  4. "That doesn't answer my question Duke. Do you or don't you want to see me like this in the future?" Lizzy asks.
  5. "Because you ain't use to seeing it and you don't want to see it?" Lizzy asks.
  6. "Kayle and Chad, her name is April Jeb and I agreed to watch her for a couple of days. Do you have a problem with that?" Lizzy answers.
  7. Soon Lizzy is back in Hazzard and has April with her. Jeb sees her and his eyes widen. "What?" Lizzy asks.
  8. "See it doesn't matter where it came from. Just let's get some sleep ok?" Chad suggests.
  9. "Kayle it'll work out...if it doesn't...well we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. For now rest my beautiful queen of my heart rest." Chad answers.
  10. "I know what you're thinking Kayle." Chad whispers rubbing her back and kissing the top of her head. "This isn't illegal. You're legally emancipated, you're an adult and we have a little girl. Trust me everything will work out I promise."
  11. Soon Lizzy and April are ready to go and Lizzy looks at Kayle and Chad again. "I know its difficult and it feels like you are giving up but it's for the best. Now go on and take a nap you two deserve it."
  12. "Good, no fighting, long nap, come to Hazzard. Tell your boss your...great grandmother died and it was unexpected so you have to have time off. Lets move it people." Lizzy says.
  13. "Hey knock it off. I don't want to hear you complain about staying up for two nights straight until you come off a 48 hour case only to come home to a colicky baby and then not sleep more than 20 minutes for an entire week. Tell you what I'm gonna do. Kayle you'll pack me a diaper bag with enough stuff to last at least two days and then I'll take April and head back for Hazzard. You two can pack up some stuff and then take a nice long nap and then follow us. Is that clear?" Lizzy says.
  14. "I don't know, could be the fact that I haven't slept in two days straight?" Chad snaps.
  15. "They continually tell me that but I never believe it." Lizzy says. Chad snorts and looks down. "Let it go to your head is more like it." "You're welcome. And you can stay...uh well I'd offer my place but my dad probably wouldn't like that too much. I'm sure your Uncle Jesse or your mother would love to have you stay with her." Lizzy says.
  16. "I know baby...I don't want to leave you either...We can leave when you're ready." Chad answers. Lizzy smiles to herself as she puts the monitor down and walks back into the living room.
  17. "It's a real blow to my pride. God Kayle I really wanted to give you everything and I'm trying so hard to do it on my own but...I...if you don't think we'll make it we can move." Chad says.
  18. "Taking their help would mean we failed." Chad answers. "You know little girl, lack of sleep does odd things to a person. It can make a normally docile person into a roving maniac. It can make them say things they don't mean and even do things they never would have done." Lizzy mutters to April. Hearing Lizzy's voice Chad and Kayle stop and listen. "I admire your parents April. They're staying strong continually when most others would have failed but the strongest of men know when they're beaten and more often than not should take the hand that's offered to them."
  19. "God Kayle do you have that little of trust in me? I'm trying to make this work. I quit school and got a full time job plus a night job. We're making ends meet here. Why do you have to insist on uprooting us again?" Chad asks.
  20. "Good. I'll be back." Lizzy says taking April into the nursery and then putting her in the crib. She picks up the baby monitor and overhears what's going on in the living room. "What did Lizzy want Kayle?" Chad asks.
  21. "Lizzy Davenport. I'm a friend of your...mother in-law's. Why don't I go put April down and give you two a chance to talk." Lizzy says.
