  1. "I can't. You'll die just like he did. I'm sorry Jeb but things are better off staying the way they are. Please don't tell me you love me. Please don't I can't handle it." Lizzy says.
  2. "That's what Petey said....then HE DIED." Lizzy cries staring out the window she's now standing in front of.
  3. "I lo... No I can't, I can't do this again." Lizzy says bolting from the room and into her own shutting the door softly and sliding down it.
  4. "I should go check on her." Lizzy says pulling back. "I'll go. You stay here." Cooter says kissing his daughter on the top of her head and moving down the hall.
  5. "Oh Daddy, you're so silly, of course Mama's gonna come back. She does this sometimes when somethings bugging her. Uncle Earl says that a drive in the moonlight calms her down. She'll be back soon. It's probably Petey again." Heather sighs.
  6. "No, not a bit. You're taking something that will normally bring a person down and turning it around to something great." Lizzy says.
  7. "I guess you're right." Lizzy says standing. She touches the top of the headstone and sighs. "There's no goodbyes just...good luck." Lizzy mutters. Back in Hazzard Heather crawls out of bed and heads for the crying. "Daddy?" She says walking into the room.
  8. "Honey people in this town talk but those tacky enough to talk when you're walking down the aisle shouldn't be invited in the first place. Tongues were waggin' all over the place when the town found out that I was pregnant with Luke's kid at nearly 40 years old and he had yet to put a ring on my finger. Each and every one of them now knows better than to say anything about it in front of my face and I dare them to say something when that day comes for me and Luke. I will dare them to say something about it to you. He's doing right by you and that's all people around here should care about. If they were really your best friends then they'd be sitting here planning your wedding with you and supporting you. My grandma, may her soul rest in peace, always told me 'Your friend will bail you out of jail but your best friend will be sitting right next you saying Man that was fun'. Don't worry about it. They don't deserve you if they can walk away." Lizzy says.
  9. "I know Daddy and I hate to put him through all this but you know as well as I do that riding that contraption can get him killed just as easily as the war is." Lizzy says.
  10. "I would love to Sam. I can get in touch with a few people in the morning about fabric, designs, flowers, and the cake if you want." Lizzy says.
  11. "I...I don't know. I can't lose him like I lost Petey. Two weeks before the wedding, a week and a half before he came home he was killed. I can't lose Jeb like that, I can't go through that again. I can't and won't put Heather through that." Lizzy says.
  12. "Are you trying to convince me or you doll? Because that didn't sound too convincing." Lizzy says. "Really I can get most of the wedding stuff for half price."
  13. yeah it's just too bad it'll be another two hours before he'll find out she just went for a drive.

  14. Cooter watches as tears begin to roll down Lizzy's face and slowly steps toward her. "Lizzy?" He asks softly touching her should. Lizzy jumps about a foot in the air before looking at him. "Dad I'm sorry...I just had to get out." Lizzy says.
  15. "I'm sure we could wrangle up a fairy tale country wedding if you really wanted it." Lizzy says. "I know enough people who would pitch in."
