"Yeah but showing up wearing that isn't gonna help." Lizzy says.

"You might want to wait." Lizzy says.

"Yeah but look at it from her point of view Chad with out any information about what's going on all the signs are pointing to a cheater." Lizzy says.

Lizzy bites her lip then looks down before speaking. "She thinks you're cheating on her."

"It's not my place to tell you Chad." Lizzy says.

"Anything is better than what Kayle thinks right now. So you took the safe route and came here." Lizzy says.

"Oh Chad to make you walk nearly forty miles...Honey your grandma...I'd I'm sorry but that just makes it worse. I was a year younger than you when I lost mine. Hurt like the devil and I wanted nothing else than to crawl into bed and never get up again. Best thing I could do was tell my family and friends what happened because without those Dukes I never would have made it through." Lizzy says leading him into the living room and sitting him down on the couch.

"What in tarnation were you doing and where did you walk from. You weren't at Daisy and Enos's when I left there." Lizzy says.

"Get out of those clothes you're gonna catch your death." Lizzy says walking away. After rifling through her dad's stuff she comes up with a shirt and pants and takes them back to the bathroom. "Chad I've got a shirt and pants for you." She says knocking on the door.

"You're soaked to the bone. Don't tell me you walked all this way. Here come into the bathroom and towel off. I'll go get some of Dad's old clothes they should fit you." Lizzy says.

There stood a soaking wet Chad who looked like he had been drug behind a bus for a few hundred yards. Lizzy looked out the window to see it pouring down rain and instantly stood. "Why are you soaking wet...Wait better question where have you been...? Wait don't really care. I'll go get some towels you stay here." Lizzy says rushing away to get some towels then coming back.

"Thanks." Kayle says. Meanwhile at Cooter's Lizzy was watching cartoons on the couch eating ice cream until the door opened.

"I would never do that." Kayle says.

"Chad loves me doesn't he? And I thought with that loves comes respect and trust." Kayle says.

"Why couldn't he just tell me?" Kayle cries.

"But if all that is true then where is he disappearing to?" Kayle asks. "You can't tell me it's just a friend he's staying with."

"I know you're trying to cheer me up but it's not gonna work Mom. Besides you don't know that for sure." Kayle says.

"Hey Mom. Listen if you don't mind I'm not really up for talking." Kayle says.

"Ok." Enos says.

"Because like I said she'll pity him for his grandma being sick and in any case it's something they have to work out. You won't always be there to solve their problems and I know it's hard but sometimes they have to do it themselves." Enos says.

"Just don't tell her where he's been going. Please Daisy." Enos begs.

"Daisy...be tender she loves him and this could hurt them." Enos says.

"Let them work it out Daisy. I know you want to protect her like any mother but it's their business and you have to slowly start cutting the apron strings." Enos says.
