It looks like John got away with only five hours in jail due to Daisy distracting the guards and Luke helping him escape overcrowding.

I've been trying to find out what's happening with Tom's legal troubles. Various allegations and charges were made last August/September, but not much has been written on the subject since then. Incidentally, Tom's appearing at Cooter's in Nashville this weekend - see here for more details.

Shocked and saddened. That's all I can say. 

While I tend to agree with you, $19,000 a MONTH in alimony is a bit excessive, especially with the kids grown.

Well y'all may complain about Jeffery Earnhardt getting the boot...but there is two sides to every situation. Landon Cassill was born and raised a half hour away from where I grew up and live at. His parents own a car lot there so do see a lot of Cassill cars around. I am not saying I am glad that Jeffery Earnhardt is out of a ride. He seems like a good guy too and it will seem odd to watch a race without an Earnhardt in it. But am glad to see Landon get a car and get back on the track as well. 
With that said, really don't have much to report. I missed last week's race last weekend. Martin Truex Jr came won the race and Jimmie Johnson had his best finish of the season at 9th. I really hope Johnson and the Hendrick boys will get a hold of the Camaro and get back up to speed. They are at Martinsville this weekend and Johnson is normally pretty good there...fingers crossed for a great race (well I'm hoping at least)
Talking about Johnson...y'all here that Lowe's is dropping their sponsorship for him after this year? They have been his sponsor since he started in the Cup series in 2002, his primary sponsor since I think 2005. Lowe's has been a sponsor in NASCAR long before that as well. Perhaps I am taking this out of proportion, but am kinda wondering if this has to do with NASCAR and the dwindling down of fans in the stands. I don't know, but it will be odd to see JJ out on the track next year without Lowes on his car...
Well I am rambling once again. I am sorry for my sporadic posts. Life has been busy with two jobs, two dogs, and you know...being an adult. Yuck. LOL. Hoping to watch Martinsville on Sunday so maybe I will peep in and give an update or two. 
Baseball season will start at the end of next week...and then all will be perfect again. Go CUBS!

We dodged that snow here in NW Pennsylvania. Everybody hates those Monday races but I guess they have no choice. 

I usually pick too many Pirates so I know how you feel about loyalty. I picked 4 this time and even Andrew McCutchen who isn't even a Pirate anymore. 

They never said how much older Luke was than Bo but I guess that Luke was 4-7 years older. The reason I say that is on "Happy Birthday General Lee" when they first got the General Lee (it was black) Luke said to Bo "You were just out of high school and I was just out of the Marines". I know from experience that in that era a stint in the Marines was a minimum of 4 years....of course it was possible to do more or less because of the VietNam War....which Luke served in. Since the show started in 1979 and there were few or no American troops there in 1975 it is possible that Luke could have been in longer than 4 years and that's why I said 4-7. Daisy was somewhere in between them in age although I can't remember which episode said that.

I'm starting to have second thoughts about jumping my dirt bike on my 58th birthday. I did some calculations and the toy is 4 inches long and I'm going to need 3 inches on each side of it. I took several hours to add all the numbers up and it came to a grand total of 10 inches. I'm not too worried about my dirt bike even though it's getting old....turning 20 this year. But I am worried about making a jump that long. I mean, what happens if I get 5 inches into the jump and get scared. There's no coming back at that point. The pressure I'm stating to feel is probably what Evil Knieval felt before he jumped the Snake River Canyon. 

I'm sorry I didn't join your league but I couldn't make the draft and I hate having the computer pick for me. I'm only in one league this year and it's a public league so I don't know anybody. That's less embarrassing if you lose but not as gratifying if you win. You'll be happy to know I have three Cubs. My number two pick was Kris Bryant. I also have Lester and Happ. This might be the best draft I've ever had so I'm excited.

Thanks Hoss. I just thought it would be good to put this here since there are fewer and fewer Dukes gatherings lately. I wish this thing wasn't a thousand miles away because I'd love to go if it was closer. I see the property is 58 acres which is a coincidence since Bo is turning 58. As I said I'll turn 58 just 7 days after that. I wonder if I should start an extravaganza when I jump my dirt bike over that General Lee toy. How much do you think I should charge for admission? 

Jimmie Johnson is my all time favorite Driver and I also Liked EarnHart Senior and they have always been great drivers

I always liked Rusty Wallace and Mark Martin.

Yay another Jimmie Johnson fan!  Jeff Gordon will always be my all time favorite driver, but JJ comes very close to it as my second favorite. So now I go for Jimmie Johnsonn and Chase Elliott.  

Chase Elliott all the way! He's a real redneck and his dad was mentioned on the Dukes once. That's plenty enough to make me a fan.

So I just saw that I was wrong. Alex Bowman will start first tomorrow with Denny  Hamlin second. Then it will be the Dual winners Ryan Blaney and Chase Elliott. Guess that goes to show I should double check than just assuming that is what it would be. Oops. 

To answer the question about more females in NASCAR. I don't have a problem if they are male or female as long as they are selected to drive due to their talent and not just because they are female. I don't mean anything against Danica, but she was picked from the Nationwide Series over other drivers who won races and the championship while she has no wins. I feel like she got into NASCAR because of her name and the fact she would bring money and fans with her. I understand that, but  also feel like it's not fair for others who was more deserving of the ride. Like I said, I mean nothing against Danica. She brought a lot to the sport and I wish her well with Daytona and the rest of her life.
But on a more serious note...y'all know what tomorrow is? IT'S DAYTONA DAY!!!! It's finally here...my countdown has went from like 90 days to 1. Tomorrow it will be 0.  So far Daytona hasn't been too kind to Jimmie Johnson. He wrecked out in both the pre season race last week and in his dual race on Thursday. Sadly I missed the duals due to not having cable. Ryan Blaney and Chase Elliott won so they will be starting out front tomorrow. 
So who y'all rooting for this season? I'm sticking with Jimmie Johnson and Chase Elliott. Though am looking forward to seeing what Alex Bowman and William Byron will do for Hendrick as well. I'm all team Hendrick!

This is bad news, bad news. I haven't heard this yet and it is upsetting. I hope you'll use that time you spent on fantasy NASCAR and put it toward your NASCAR threads here Garrett. I'd hate to lose contact with you. You've been a good friend for a long time.

Love this song and the video...then again I love about every song on the DOH soundtrack. Also heard James Best's "Go Flash Go" as well...makes me smile everytime...puts me in anoth DOH episode.
The General Lee, is in my opinion, the best car. Ever. Then again, my opinions are heavily biased since I love everything about The Dukes of Hazzard.

Good to see you back in town Garrett. Thanks for the info about NASCAR. I miss your weekly race review. How's your fantasy baseball team doing? I'm in first place in 2 leagues and second place in another.

LOL! I never caught on that he charged that price in another episode, but I loved the episode where he kept charging Rosco that every time his door fell off in that episode! Just the way he said it and how Rosco reacted to it...What a talented cast they have!
